- I bought a £1500 Daimler XJ6 and it was both the best car in the world and the absolute worst. Join me for a rather ridiculous adventure as I battle with the old car, fight with rust and endure a typically cold British January... with no heating, and no blowers at all. Just another classic car adventure with Geoff Buys Cars.

Ahhh. the joys of old British cars.
Almost looked as though the battery was still connected when the welding was done which could have caused issues with the charging circuit and the lad at Halfords literally looked like he used the machine to only check the state of the battery and didn't check the charging circuit when the car was running.

This made me angrey my battery went flat garage said you need new battery i put mine on charge 24hours now its perfect .
Fantastic video Geoff it really cracked me up and your choice in cars is just sheer perfection and that 80s knight rider dash is amazing..
I remember my dad having a £150 poo brown 4.2 Sovereign and it was extremely reliable as long as you carried a hammer in the boot to hit the Lucas fuel pumps to get it running which was very forward thinking of Daimler as not many cars came with factory immobilisers back then.
The car seems to now be on eBay in Rugby for £3k. From the ad the heater hasn’t been fixed!

@@scottofield8141 oh I totally agree. I stole it from a dealer for £1500, spent £500 on it and sold it for £2900. There’s a follow up video to come on what happened next and how it ended up in Rugby with my friend Chris
