Great memories. I had a Rupp with a Tecumseh engine, sold by a BMW motorcycle dealer. My neighbor had a QA-50, her's was yellow and she had a yellow helmet. You'd see a cloud of dust and here came that yellow helmet 💛. I had a an SL-70 and an XR-125?...

The Honda 50 mini trail was my first bike.My dad got it for me when I was 5.Top speed of 30 mph as I recall.The kickstarter kept braking off.Dad would weld it back on but it just kept braking.

Rupp was made in Mansfield ohio. Tecumseh motors was in them 31/2 & 4 and 5hp. They did make a 80cc too.

I think the QA-50 was 72-73. I had a Rupp with a Tecumseh engine and headlight. And, later an SL-70 and an XR-125.
Those were very big years. The movie "On Any Sunday" explored the motorcycling explosion.
In March, they released the fifty year anniversary remastered DVD. Our local dealer had two viewings like a movie premiere at a theater that hosts concerts, musicals, plays & other performances. Very special event for some of us 🤗❤️🏆

QA 50 had a different rear end frame and seat support that is quite different from the Z50. The seat it’s self is a lot smaller on the qa50 and sticks up like a tail. This is a Z50 100%
