5:55 That is a big misconception. Vegeta was not brought back by "fan demand." Toriyama was notorious for not listening to fan's responses.
It was his editors that caved to fan pressure and demanded that Toriyama bring back Vegeta.

He only brought back Frieza because of how powerful he was. Plus, Frieza is extremely intelligent and more willing to work with Goku (and the rest of Universe 7) than either Nappa or Raditz would have. Remember, Golden Frieza came into existence after only a few months of training. There was no reality where either Nappa or Raditz were reaching those levels of power. I'm very confused as to how you don't realize this.

What's interesting about Piccolo is he's fully grown when he's about 5 years old but Dende is still a child when we see him again in the Cell saga, about 3 and a half years after he left Earth, and 7 or so years after that he appears to be a teenager. I guess maybe Piccolo grew up faster because he's warrior class, and Dende isn't?
It might also be because he is the reincarnation of king piccolo so not a normal namekian.

Did you notice at the end of the buu saga when they returned to Kami’s lookout Dende was a child again when he was supposed to be a teenager?
Frieza was easier to illustrate compared to Cell which is why he was chosen as the repeat villain.
I'm pretty sure it's more than that, frieza literally blew up the saiyan home planet. Cell wouldn't be nearly as suspenseful to be a returning character.

Tarble is not a canon character. you could argue that broly and paragus are, but i dont like to think so. their movie ruined the original Bardock special which is one of my favourite animated movies ever. the whole of super is dumb, so even tho its not technically correct i just like to imagine the story ended with Z.

@@grimekid666 Nah, Tarble is 100% canon. The special "Yo, Son Goku & Friends Return!" is considered canon, and is even referenced in both the Battle of Gods movie and DBS recap arc, and I believe even in the Dragon Ball Super manga as well

8:42 Goku wasn't brought back as main protagonist because of "Fan backlash", It was because Toriyama thought that Gohan's personality just didn't suit role as main protagonist, so he brought goku back
the 5 minute fight can be justified by the latest Super movie, Super heroes, where trunk vs meta freizer takes seconds where everyone see's them sped up
This has always been my argument. Yes, they buffer the time to extend the fight and extend the episodes, but if they were going full speed, a few minutes to them would probably only be a few times real time

Fun Fact: At the height of his Manga career in the 80's, Toriyama was a functioning alcoholic who would spend the first two or three days out of a 7 day work week drinking and watching old Kung Fu movies frame by frame in order to study their marshal arts forms. It's the primary reason why the action scenes in DB and DBZ are so good.

Extra facts:
1. In the Latin American Spanish dub of Dragon Ball Z, Goku is voiced by Mario Castañeda.
2. Bulma was voiced by the late Japanesw voice actress, Hiromi Tsuru. She voiced the character from the original Dragon Ball up until Dragon Ball Super. Sadly, Hiromi passed away on November 16th, 2017, at the age of 57 due to arotic dissection.
3. The first true Dragon Ball Z video game released in North America was Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout. It was released in October 1997. However, there won't be another Dragon Ball game for consoles until 5 years later with the release of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai.
We all know Krillin is the real winner of Dragon Ball for landing Android 18. Also keep in mind Goku is technically the Ox prince since Chi Chi's dad is the Ox king so he married into royalty.
His son also married the daughter of the champion of earth. Basically he should be filthy rich.

I always find its funny people say goku beats or solos every fictional character. But even in his own cannon, hes over powered and beat all the time. I think his win rate is less that 50%.
Even last few fights, he only beat morro, lost to garnola, gas, broly, vegeta (sparring), drew with jiren etc
Thing is that does explain how strong Goku is cause he gets his ass whooped by these galactic busting threats and the very next arc he’s just casually 10x stronger than them. The only exception I can think of is Broly but I’d even argue current Goku would wipe the floor with the Broly in the movie

Fun Fact: Toriyama didn't ACTUALLY forget about Launch, he just didn't feel the need to use her anymore and simply told the reporter during the interview that he did in order to get people off his back about it. Unfortunately, due to popular demand, he had to include that one scene in the cell games where she's off in a bar drinking somewhere and is like 'THERE, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!!! She ****ed off somewhere and is no longer relevant to the plot, moving on.

DragonBall Z Plan To Eradicate Super Saiyans did come out in the states but it was bundled in a DragonBall Z game but I cant remember which one, Raging Blast or Burst Limit. It might not be either so if anyone knows let me know.

Actually, Goku's Heart Virus wasnt from Yardrat, Its on Earth, Goku's Heart stopped 2 Years AFTER he came back from Yardrat, 1 Year before the Androids appear, in the Original Timeline (Trunks's timeline) While the Main Timeline, Goku Got it 3 Years Exactly when the Androids appear. Because In the Original Timeline, Goku came early to attack Frieza and King Cold, while The main timeline, Goku came a Bit Late, because Trunks Defeat both 1st.

Common misconception that Goku contracted the heart virus from Yardrat. He didn’t contract it until after the 3 year timeskip after returning to Earth. Even though it was stated that Yardrat does have a poisonous atmosphere, you don’t contract a virus from poison.

I know you were mostly talking about DBZ but In DBS there are heaps of characters way older than Old Kai. Beerus said he's hundreds of millions years old. I'm assuming whis and the other angels are older. It would have been cool when Beerus saw Buu in B.O.G that Beerus knew of Buu but didn't happen. maybe because even the strongest version of any Buu is still insignificant to Beerus

Actually, Vegeta never uses the title “king” because he was never given the title before his late father was killed off with the planet before he became king, plus he doesn’t respect his father for the things he’s done.
