Used to watch dragon ball z every afternoon, after school, on YTV, back in 1997-1998. This was a strange nostalgic journey. I originally watched until just after the Frieza saga. This video left me absolutely baffled by where the series goes after that point. I couldn't even keep up. Super Sayian Gods, Frieza coming back apparently multiple times, it all sounds crazy to me. But I love the dedication to the series from its fans, its creators, and its critics like yourself. It isn't for me anymore, but it keeps delivering after 25, 30, 40 years. I love that. Incredibly well put together video.

Most favorite moment - Gohan fighting against Cell and transforming into SSJ2. Second most - Goku becoming SSJ for the first time. I am so thankful for seeing this as a child on Tv for the first time making it the most memorable moments of my childhood. DBZ FTW!!!!

Its not about Android 16, its about what he said to Gohan, that he should fight to protect the nature and animals he so much loved. And Gohan does indeed spend a lot of time in the nature, playing with animals, thus, the rage and transformation, foreseeing it being destroyed by Cell.

I loved GT when it first aired on Toonami, then disliked it because it was popular to hate on it and came back around. GT is severely underrated and in my opinion, Super is overrated.

I liked GT too, i get that it’s kind of controversial in some ways. With Goku being a kid again. A villain named baby 😖... But if you just look past that and give it a chance it’s actually pretty good. I like to think it came out when the majority of the dragon ball fan base had become adults, and they had a hard time adjusting and weren’t able to look past the weird childish aspects of the series which all the other dragon ball series had too. It just went over their heads back then because they were kids 😅. But as they got older they found it hard to digest in a new format 😂. (Btw it came out a lot later in Europe and I think America too, around the mid 2000’s, most people were illegally downloading it back then off of shady torrent sites) I am 39 now btw. I haven’t been able to watch dragon ball super because of my 2 girls. But my godson and his brother tell me it’s awesome 😎.

it really was that they wanted to restart the DragonBall series, a kid Goku traveling in a search for Dragon Ballls with a girl and a teen warior with a sword, but it fails, the original was good because of Bulma, and Pan will never be good replacement for Bulma, writing female characters in a Dragonball story is hard, many girl characters end up as „anoying” or just „cool”, Bulma is a lucky midle she is like a lucky charm
Very nice, only a few small mistakes which I get when trying to mash up the major continuities together. And then it has to be redone next year after DB Daima premieres 😅
I thought I zoned out watching this when I realized I didn't hear about DBS Broly timeline, had to rewind a couple times to make sure I wasn't missing it lol

The Gohan SS2 transformation is such a dumb moment that has no narrative justification. Gohan didn't even know who Android 16 was!
