I've had the z240 for years and have had alot of questions as I have used it. This really helped me today. Esp the question below about using a sync cord when using TTL, since I use the sync cord. When to push that button down or keep it up was a great explanation. One thing that I am still not sure about ...... When I first got the strobe, many years ago, when I would turn it on, it had a somewhat loud "charging sound" and my green light, would actually shine completely green. I noticed after a while that the "charging sound" had greatly diminished and if I can hear it, its very light. The green light only shines just for a shot time and its just a sliver of green. The dive shop I was using sent the strobe into the manufacturer and they sent it back stating it was fine. I'm still not convinced after all these years. I would like to know what you hear when you turn your strobe on and if the green light shines fully or do you always see the red light with it. It just makes no sense that this is right to me. I think its not getting a full charge, regardless of what batteries I use. I would love feedback on this. Thanks!

I am on my 5th Sea and Sea YS-D2 and I am not replacing any more. Thanks for the great video; wish I saw it two YS-D2's ago......

Better sound quality would be a huge help

Does the fiber optic TTL work as well as the electrical TTL? Is there any limitations on the fiber optic that it can't perform as compared to electrically hooking up the TTL? I can't seem to find any site that really discusses these issues. Someone state that fiber optic TTL is not "true TTL". What does that mean?

In order to have TTL you need a sync cord that is connected to the camera itself. A fiber optic cable only works by triggering the slave cell on the strobe from the firing of the built-in flash in the camera, but is not reading the light that bounces back from the object through-the-lens (which is what TTL means) into the sensor of the camera

@@ricardbuxo Thank you for explaining this (3 yrs ago). I had the same question and have had this strobe for YEARS.
