Let it be known that the sester counts as an npc so the skill for acquiring resolve when talking to an npc is actually quite useful considering you can literally use her to max out your resolve at any point just by talking to her a few times, which you're going to do anyway
Solomon with hammer and chisel is completely broken. You can chunk a boss with the L2+R2 ability that also stuns them from a distance. While the boss is down just do a combo to regain the resolve needed then rinse and repeat.
Dude yes I don’t know why he mentioned parrying as Solomon’s strong suit without mentioning the weapon ability spam I can’t parry to save my life in this game but it literally doesn’t matter with the weapon ability and the fact that killing enemies has a chance to heal you Literally can just run through every zone spamming the hammer and chisel AOE ability and heal myself non stop without ever using an empowered riposte.
Do it with Tiel to do more damage while they're stunned with his extended stamina bar. By the time they've regained themselves you can special them all over again using the hammer and chisel. Destroyed the game doing this
@@leckey119 they mean he’s broken in the regard he doesn’t even need to bother with that most of the time, allowing him to just stay away from enemies and use 3 weapon abilities before he has to get close again, which is like 3/5 of a boss’s healhbar.
@@bizmonkey007 its not quite as hard as dark souls, but not as easy as sekiro. I found it most similar to the gun parry in Bloodborne. Its not that hard to time correctly and has a fairly generous window, but enemy attack animations can be deceptive. The hard part is reading the attacks.
After my Obsidian form playthrough. Teil is the only character for me paired with the hallowed blade. Stamina is your greatest weakness in this game. The Obsidian Forms stamina made it 1000x easier than it should have been.
The passive that increases health stacks so you can have up to +75hp where as the resolve bonus does not stack so I recommend going the health route. Note you lose this bonus on the final boss so that fight might feel more unforgiving as you have nearly half the hp you became used to.
Jumper enemies drop bad tar, if you eat that tar you can save your "second chance" and heal to full hp (even when hit mid animation) but you will be expelled from the shell, Solomon has a perk that makes enemies freeze for longer when expelled from the shell. I personally don't play him a lot but no matter what shell I use I go with a normal sword and when I have the ability charge I use mace 2 because it deals massive damage in aoe, although chisel 2 is instant knockdown on boss which means you can gain one resolve bar after using it.
In my opinion Solom is the best balanced Shell. First you should get the Vorbidden Soul for the Extra Resolve from the female Merchant which doesnt talk. (Sorry dont know her Name.) It costs u 3k Souls. Then in my opinion get the Mace. For me its the most balanced weapon for him. Of course u should try to max out the weapon Asap. U gain a ton of resolve from enemies. And because the wide range of the mace u can fight up to 4 enemys at once. By using the special move u get also resolve and life as well back. Also u have the most resolve bars which let u use the special attacks quite often. Which is no problems because i said u get a ton of resolve in fights. Even in bossfight. And should turn things Bad, u can use parry to heal urself, and combined whith the Talent u got a decent chance to get full resolve on a successfull parry. Makes for me the most fun playable shell. Edit: Most of the consumables rely on parry which makesnit crucial how to learn to parry. Which is quite easy to learn in this game :)
It's bad because the timing is really inconsistent across enemies. Since it doesn't work if you use it just before you get hit, you need to know how fast an enemy will swing and time your parry. The problem is that not all swings are the same speed, even from the same enemy.
I thought he was simply a better Harros but even with Ghost of Tsushima, Seikiro, and bloodbourne parry experience I don’t trust it in this game. Torn between who’s better between the two with Harros’ stamina regen in hardening skill
They're both good for different playstyles. If you're not gonna parry, and like to harden instead...I'd go w/Harros. Edit: after completing ng+, im gonna say Solomon is the best shell in the game, and its not even close
Drake Miller - And that is literally not true. Several times in the video he says you need resolve to parry. This is incorrect, you absolutely don’t, in fact if you have no resolve and parry you get one segment. I’m presuming what he means is you need ‘resolve to do an empowered riposte.’ It’s interesting how misinformation spreads, there are several reddit posts saying ‘I didn’t realise you could parry with no resolve’.
I’ve been using Tiel and the Hammer and Chisel weapon and just been in beast mode ever since. Plus weapon is +4 so far so that helps lol. Love this game.
Did you try solomon+ Hammer and chisel + 1st weapon skill? It's regains resolve fast as fuck, 1 enemy nearby for 1 resolve. And, when they stun, spam R1, harden, R1 and keep spam weapon skill until enemy die. Fucking immortal. Hallowed Sword and Parry on this shell is TRASH
Great Game I'm doing a walkthrough of it right now, and I have to say this game is incredible! Come check it out if anyone cares to. Would be greatly appreciated.

You can’t game it
By far the best Shell in the game. Without a doubt.
Solomon The King 🤴
His passvies with the smoldering mace weapon ability destroyed majority of the bosses.
The L2 + R2 on the mace is fuckin bananas. Total nuclear meltdown
I love this shell. My fav and most consistent by far.

Use greatsword and use the freeze heavy it's better
The Most Op Shell of the game
For sure
Good. I need it. I am not good at soulsbourne games.
I want to feel like a big boy.
Hadern: Allow me to introduce myself
@@DemoniteBL Welcome!!
awesome guide, I am still used to parrying from sekiro so this character seems like a natural fit to me
can't wait to play tomorrow !
this isn't gonna be like sekiro parrying at all
@@tomasdelcampo2 its more like dark souls parrying, but a bit less awkward. Definitely nothing like sekiro

I came from sekiro too and my experience parrying in that has definitely helped me out and I couldn't ever oarry for the life of me in ds3
The one thing I absolutely hate about this shell is his slow stamina regen and how long it takes for it to start.
Yeah, i tend to look at the stamina bar more than the enemy. Butvthis shell works effectively according to my play style.
the use of resolve and parries really helps with it as you regain stamina while doing these

Solomon perhaps my fav. Kill most bosses with him

Solomon the king!
I love Eredrim!
1- Just stack 100 kills
2- go find solo enemies(aka bosses)
3- Use mace L2+R2 combo
4- ???
5- Profit 😏
My first play through was with Solomon. Great all around shell. Better than the tanky Eridem or whatever his name is IMO.
Could someone please tell me how to use the air attack I just spent 2500 tar an a couple glimpses an dont even know how to use it

Find hammer and chisel and it's 1st upgrade. Then spam weapon skill and hardern until end game.
Jo Baldo ya the game seems to lag almost sometimes when u parry. Even if u time it right sometimes u still get hit

where can I buy this game anyone???
Epic Games Store on PC, or consoles

When you are talking about needing resolve to parry I think you mean *riposte*? You don’t need resolve to parry.
nah it literally says resolve

"Second shell you'll find" literally never found him in my playthrough haha

Solomon was only viable after you get the forbidden ring installed.
cool
This game is really dark and hard to see
Maybe increase the brightness fren?
