Love the video. One thing I’d say is maybe turn down the background noise just a touch or change it entirely. There are plenty of good eerie ambient audios you can use out there to fit these types of videos better.
So, Solomon's Plan inscription seems to suggest that his brother consumed the gland from the earth temple, unsuccessfully guarded by Harden, and you are the earth revered born anew. Makes sense with the you being glandless bit. Seems interesting.
Another interesting theory I guessed through Solomon's gameplay; his high resolve also benefits heavy use of parries. Is it possible that Solomon used the tarnished seal to cage his brother before he died?
Fantastic theory! That actually didn't occur to me, but it makes sense and seems to align with the developers beta lore. The tarnished seal also has a similar runic glow to Solomon's armor, which is something we don't see anywhere else in the game.
If Solomon chained the old prisoner, then how could the old prisoner murder him? Further evidence toward Harros I guess... I think the fact that Harros killed Solomon as he headed towards the multitude of tablets (where Harros didn't really wanna go) makes sense also.
He could have mortally wounded him. This is a death sentence and makes more sense as to why he would be able to do the etching as well. Sometimes a wound could take days to kill.
@@Foneio The man Harros kills does have the sort of knowledge of the future that Solomon demonstrates, and as I recall even forgives him for a crime not yet committed. And we know he didn't succeed in killing the revered.
@@The_Bird_Bird_Harder yep exactly my thoughts. Haven't thought about this since I made that comment months ago but it makes a lot of sense to me now haha.
I loved all the optional dialogue you can get as Solomon. Very cool. I'm dying for a DLC that answers some of my questions. They did a fantastic job with atmosphere and lore. The only other game that's ever drew me into the world like Miyazaki
That last piece of text explained everything. Looking back now after completing the game, one finds that Hadern is a teacher and caretaker of the foundling and his kin. Solomon, knowing the fate of his brother and himself, chose to lure his obsessed sibling out of the great library and imprison him in Hadern’s fort…home. It explains why he is found not far from the main hub. Though we can’t be sure it was the prisoner that killed him, it could have also been the ghoul (can’t remember the enemy’s actual name) given he stated they were to quick for him. Maybe he was exhausted from imprisoning his brother, or perhaps even wounded and the ghoul finished him off.
So Solomon is from Seed of Infinity, or somewhere nearby. People of Seed of Infinity "study" the Nectar and their reveared and slowly anf happily go insane, carving ramblings on the stone tablets
Also, assumedly the Sister that helps you through your jurney also saw Dark Father's transformation. She mentions "Heretic who drunk too deeply" which with this lore and some speculations might talk about The Old Prisoner (aka Dark Father). On the other hand she might be talking about the Accolyte who went mad and died due to overusing the tar to see his god.
@@YeOldeMachine yeah. Dark Father is more appropriate for Heretic title, tho Tiel was a heretic for quite some time, he abandoned Seed of Infinity and joined brigands, he also had several visions of Genesa while abusing tar
@@masterzoroark6664 yeah, I wasn't thinking abt that. I was also unclear as to when he knew Genessa. I wish I'd had dove a little more into the lore. I never really went back and read it, even though I thought it was super interesting and cool. I think i could gather that he met her after he started getting sick, and she tried to convince him to go back to his temple? Im gonna look back on all that.
Ive been interested in the lore of this game.. good stuff give us more of this. Hope to see Eredrim soon He seems like a respected royal executioner from what I read but I could be wrong..
I do find it a bit interesting to know that Solomon seemed to be the only character who mentions Hadern's existence. But if it isn't canon that he does, it was still interesting to know that he would've probably been the only one who knew Hadern before the foundling
Thanks for this video. I guess we could assume that what the old prisoner believed was true nektar was actually tainted nektar and perhaps explains why he looks like the unborn/foundling. Tainted nektar removes you from your shell in game.
Great video thanks I just started this game and I was wondering about who tf he was I seen most of these diologs but I didn’t get it you explained it perfectly
I wonder if the etches are remnants from past cycles. The same story playing out over and over again. Yet slightly different each time. Would that explain Solomon’s contradictions? He’s not seeing the future. He’s seeing the preceding cycles.
I think that's a valid theory too, I wanted leave that to discuss in Harros' video. I also think my theory makes more thematic sense when focusing solely on solomon
I also was pretty sure it was harros that killed Solomon. In Harros’ memories he speaks about a scholar babbling and not making sense to him at first but it ended up all that he said was true, referring to who I thought was Solomon. Which would also explain how they are linked by death because they are both shells of the foundling.
goRobo I also was fine with the background music. As long as you keep making stuff. This was great and seems like it took a lot of effort. I’ve beaten the game twice in the last few days and couldn’t tel you a thing about the lore
The old prisoner did not kill Solomon, that makes no sense. As far as the Dark Father's purpose goes? They're most likely referring to the fact that his hunt for glands, will guide the naive foundling in their ascension. Also, the choice of music for this character is atrocious.
Hey all, just wanted to say thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video!

I think she's talking abt the Dark Father. Only because I don't think she'd describe Tiel as a heretic.

Thanks for putting all these amazing videos together. They all add depth to the game lore.
this is a great video i really enjoyed the info/lore you've broken down. please continue!
Best shell of the game in my opinion
I love his brothers response when they first meet face to face.
Loved the video, hated the music.. especially for the dialogue, use the one when you ascend their abilities better it really fits Solomons' dialogues.
Really love Solomons dialogue, he sounds very Nemoy Spock-like. Great video. Great game.
Look brother i'm ascending lmao

Great video, but the music is very distracting.
Bro where do you get your music from like the other videos about Harros eredim and tier
Good video. Keep on it!
But lose the music, please... Or use something more appropriate. Thanks!

I keep on getting distracted by the BGM it just feels so out of place. Nice try for creating this video though.
Thanks for the feedback, I'm just trying to compile this in a way that's not just me reading text lol
@@_robo For what it is worth, I really liked the BGM and felt it fit nicely. Maybe bring the volume down on the BGM.

What music did you use?

I think he sounds like Agent 47
I dont like the background music
