I fixed most of the codes and engine issues... The reason why it would not go over 3k was because the connector that went into the vtec solenoid kept popping out. Just gotta replace the intake manifold and the car is solid.
🤯 the vtec solenoid makes alot more sense hahah. follow this guy right here on tiktok yall for the continuation of this car! didnt know you were on youtube as well!

@ 6:12 you get a close-up of the harmonic balancer aka crank pulley. It looks broken or else an optical illusion because of grease and/or oil. If it's chipped then it won't have even dampening and this will lead to premature failure of main bearings and likely cause premature leaks for your front and rear main seals. Of course, with plastic, you have to use a flexible glazing putty to make certain there aren't future cracks. I think that in our case, since you have a car port, I would probably find some heavier plastic sheeting and create a makeshift paint booth. It would at least keep some trash out of your paint job. Also, I think I would buy some new hinges and/or latch for the hood instead of the hood latches. The rest of the car looks great and it sounds like you have it running good. Very resourceful project.
FYI, good tip is on the first coat don't go for full coverage, go for evenly sloppy and it's the perfect base for 2nd,3rd, and 4th to be done the same way it will naturally even out the more layers u add giving you a perfect solid paint job in the end
Something I was taught is if your swapping an engine with a junkyard unit of the same engine type, transfer your sensors onto the junkyard engine as you you know those sensor are good and working and if you know you have a bad sensor on the old engine by a replacement as 9/10 times it is good (even brand new parts can be faulty) or if the sensor is easy to get to risk it use the junkyard engines sensor
Good job 👍 I’m a painter I’ll give you a easy tip for your next paint job, put the tape first around trims but don’t stick the edge down and just put the paper in and fold 👍

Wet sand those head light with 600 until the yell clears up to clear. Then dry them and clear coat them ,don't rush it ,just like you painted the car dust the first coat and then two good coats . Perfect
same with me bought a 91 integra and drove it back home 2 hours away with literally no brakes and very very very bad suspension.. But still have it to this day, its been with me for over 5+ years

As a collision technician I can say you did a nice job with the dents next time try to sand down the surrounding area and feather it so it blends well and leaves you less high spots , also a lighten up a littleon the hardner when ur mixing mud
Pro tip- buy some 3M rubbing compound and use it to rub off the oxidation off headlights. It makes them look brand new as long as there’s no oxidation on the inside. If there is, there are you tube vids on how to bake your lights in the oven to open them up- some people do this to replace just the outer housing

Awesome video! Gonna use your hood latches on a volvo that broke the cable and takes a ton of labor to replace. One tip. Use a good quality lightweight bodyfill like evercoat. SOOOO much easier to sand.
When masking off, its best to remove everything that would leave a clear line. For example on the door, remove the mirror, the trim below the window, and the door handle that way your paint is getting everywhere on the panel.
Really nice, first streamer that actually you can believe on how much work they put in and how much each part cost. But even with that you still had some skills... and some useful tools
Always use thinner with microfiber cloth or cheese-cloth to get rid of all oil, wax and fingerprints before even spraying. You may need to do this again after the primer. This will stop paint peeling back in the future.
Great video from a car flipper to another, always swap out the headlights and possibly the tail lights too. You’ll get way more money for the car. A new headlight is like a facial spa to a car gives it a new look.
Quick tip on masking. Tape your perimeter first with only tape. Then use mask and tape. It’s a little more tape but will save time and you’ll have a tighter paint line.
I would have left the spoiler, door handles, and hood latches black. Maybe even tinted the tail lights too. But, your end result was great. Thanks for sharing this! Very instructive!👍🏽🙏📿🌀🪷
I’m glad I found you channel it’s some good clean videos. I like to see people going to the junkyard these new parts they make now days are horrible older junkyard factory parts are better.
Pretty solid work for a driveway budget job. NGL, I was a little 😬 at first, but other than the bondo thing, and getting a little better setup, definitely did a great job. You could grab some tarps or heavy plastic sheeting and a couple box fans with filters and rig up a booth in your carport for not too much effort or cost. I found a decent paint-less dent removal tool kit is really handy and cheap way to take care of normal dents and dings for the most part, and a skim coat of Rage Gold or 3M body filler finishes it nicely, mix in a little Plastik Honey by Evercoat to enhance cheaper quality body fillers or to flow it smoother. Name brand Bondo is too brittle and stiff for my preference. Cool video 🤙
Idk how often you paint but you should look into getting a foldable canopy that people use for events and picnics. Helps with rain and you can hang plastic from the sides to help with bugs and dust.
Yo you have a great community here, first time going comments without anyone mention the ric* work. Awesome job and keep up the work. It’s not pro fix, it’s a street fix. Still looks badass on the finished product and saved one rsx from going to the crusher.
It does look way better. Thats why i paint. You shouldve buffed and polished the orange peel though. Bring the shine out a bit more from your clear coat. Make sure you have enough clear on, to do so, if you decide to do it again in the future.
This is something I would love to try myself at home, I first would need a cheap car that I really don't care about to try it on. I would not feel right doing it to a car I drive daily, but it would be cool to try it out on a beater or a cheap car you want to try a fix up and flip. You sir have bigger balls then me. LOL You didn't do 1/2 bad man, nice job.
I used to flip cars in the early 2000s. It was easy as hell. Most cars Hondas/240sx/toyotas all about 100-500 with issues. I made so much money. I once bought an AE86 for $300. There was a time when this was fun and a good way to make money, but not anymore. These kids now think these old 90s Hondas are worth 16oz gold bullion
actual insanity to not do the headlights, i waited all video for it and you didnt do it when its probably the easiest thing you could have done that makes a crazy difference
I fixed most of the codes and engine issues... The reason why it would not go over 3k was because the connector that went into the vtec solenoid kept popping out. Just gotta replace the intake manifold and the car is solid.
the 02 sensor codes came back on but its because the power steering rack was leaking into the connector.

Idk how often you paint but you should look into getting a foldable canopy that people use for events and picnics. Helps with rain and you can hang plastic from the sides to help with bugs and dust.
Good to have distant neighbors.. if you paint in your driveway 😊
Yo you have a great community here, first time going comments without anyone mention the ric* work. Awesome job and keep up the work. It’s not pro fix, it’s a street fix. Still looks badass on the finished product and saved one rsx from going to the crusher.
Clicked on this video randomly. And i really liked it. I don't subscribe to project channels but this video was dope, i had to.
It does look way better. Thats why i paint. You shouldve buffed and polished the orange peel though. Bring the shine out a bit more from your clear coat. Make sure you have enough clear on, to do so, if you decide to do it again in the future.
You should have sand & polish the headlight while you had them off (you can find headlight restore kits at your local auto parts store or Wal-Mart)
That paint job revived that car 😍
Damn brother you did a good job on that it really looks better than a cheap maaco paint job💯
Thats a nice lil project money maker brother keep up the good hustle my man .
you did a great job with the paint
Just paint the wheels white and it's a masterpiece 💪🏾💯
actual insanity to not do the headlights, i waited all video for it and you didnt do it when its probably the easiest thing you could have done that makes a crazy difference
