Preach! This is truly excellent. It took me becoming Anglican & discovering theologians such as NT Wright to learn proper eschatology like this. My sense is that in Sunday preaching & funerals there's far far too much focus on the disembodied, platonic, post death state. Really our hope as Christians is the glorious resurrection of the dead & the life of the world to come

Me too! And one thing I love, is Karlo here is now with Catholic answers, look how many of them folks are Southern. You can't hear it in his speech now, but Jimmy Akin is, Tim Staples is from the Commonwealth of Virginia, our body Karlo is a real life Louisiana Cajun. I just love that. And look at EWTN, it's a based in Alabama, of all places. Makes sense to me, people on the south know the Bible, if you showed them a Biblical basis to why Catholicism must be true, many of them would accept it. I believe it is, and I believe you can show it from the Bible, but I don't think everyone can. So, thank goodness for all our apologists out there.

If you're praying with Jesus' Mother Mary you're not going to have any demons hanging around.
Who then are the Saints that suddenly appear in Heaven mentioned in Rev 7:9-17 ?
Link 2nd Esdras 2:44 to Rev 7:13 and see how they are talking about the same group of people - ie after being Sealed having white robes and given palms by Christ. These are the raptured Saints actually as when a King comes from abroad can be met by the best servants on His way before arriving officially. The redemption Christ spoke about mentions Christ, the clouds and the Angels while when Christ comes back to earth mentions Christ on white horses so a different event as they don't match.
The resurrection of the dead happens Mid Trib actually not at the end of the tribulation period. Mid Trib kicks off the Last day however with 3.5 years of tribulation before that.
The spiritual way of Christians was foretold by the physical events in the OT from Moses onwards so too the 2nd Coming is already foretold through Christs 1st coming.
This sounds crazy, but in my return to Christ and my faith, through God's grace, it was revealed to me that pets will be with us.
Wisedaniel, no I don't think it sounds so crazy. They may not have Souls like human beings do, but that doesn't mean God doesn't have a place in Heaven for them. This is just my idea , not church teaching, but- scripture talks about all kinds of "creatures" in the heavenly realms, there are even four horsemen, no? Also, the Virgin showed the 3 children of Fatima an image of Hell, depicting "hideous creatures" etc.. Do we know even what the "Angelic host(s) look like? I have heard stories where both "demonic" and "angelic" entities (?) have worked through Animals. I was going through a (yet another) difficult time last winter, to make a long story short, this little black kitten kept coming around my new dwelling in the mountains and was all beat up and skittish...she ended up saving my life one night by jumping up and down on my bed and growling, when I sat up I saw my portable heater flashing and sparking flames. I would have probably slept through it (till it was too late!) if it wasn't for "Leela Bennie" (Benedict). I think she is on "the Good side" lol.

The unjust not having the Holy Spirit therefore do not produce the fruit of the Spirit especially love and hence cannot express love in action of goodness, benevolence and good works. Unfortunately, they express in action the evil that is in their hearts.

Why should I not have the resurrected body right now, is it necessary for me to die and wait for the resurrected body?.
I love the Catholics, it was once the faith of my parents. But two things I would like to comment, first: where is Jesus going to take the saints at his coming? John 14:1-3 Jesus is in heaven preparing a place (mansions) for us. When Jesus comes the righteous dead are raised, and those who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to be with Jesus where he came from in Heaven and reign with him a thousand years. 1thes. 4:17, Rev. 20:4. His coming is not secret. In fact It will destroy all the living wicked by brightness of his coming. 2Thes. 2:8. All the wicked dead remained dead for a thousand years. Rev.20:5. Only Satan and his angels are roaming in this dark and cold empty planet devoid of people which becomes a prison house for them an abyss. Rev.20:1-2, Jer. 4:23-26.
The Saints are the people who see the beatific vision.It will be you or me if we accept Jesus' free gift of salvation and are thus worthy to be forever with the Lord.
Karlo, I really enjoyed your presentation and you cross-references are very good. I would humbly submit that one point may not be entirely accurate. As a practicing Catholic in search of the truth of God I have spent years opening my mind to the other Christian faiths to get other points of view for the purpose of contemplation which demands cross checking the Bible and CCC. While I believe as a Catholic, I have never heard of other denominations claiming that the rapture was a "secret coming of Christ". The scriptures that you even pointed out say that we join Christ in the air, not on earth, there is no descent to earth, no coming. All sources that I have researched agree that the second coming is at the end. This interpretation does not disagree with CCC. Additionally, there are a few passages that seem to confirm a possibility to escape the tribulation if we are living as Jesus instructed. One that comes to mind is Luke 21:34-36. Though I have not subscribed to the full rapture interpretation, it does seem a plausible interpretation and I have not found in CCC any clear conflict with it. I love hearing you speak and I only humbly offer this point as a matter of discussion.
Stuart, I believe Karlo has already discussed and clearly explained the topic., which does in fact contradict not only CCC, but Holy Scripture as well. Clearly our Lord will
..."come down from Heaven" ..."in the same way He went up". We are in the "last days" , " the End Times", the "time of Tribulation".

You just don't understand that we do because what you think you understand differs from what we understand and you base your understanding on Whatever authority you think is correct. Which makes that authority its on "guy/guys in Rome" for you. Matter of Catholic worship is so Jewish in its background. Read up or search for a video by Dr. Brant Pitri. I doubt you love the Catholic Church and you think 7 years means 7000 years is really sad. For even a 1000 years does not mean exactly that, its simply a long time.

@Karlo Broussard, I am a non-scholar But I think your thesis on the book of revelation has fallen short of God's glory If you don't mind I can face you on a live discussion regarding this issue. I believe you are misrepresenting biblical text in your presentation
So what IF an apparition of Mary appears and tells us that this false prophet/spirit IS actually God and WE believe it, is this possible? I mean, could some lying false anti-Christ spirit appear as Mary and tell US that this IS the second coming of her son? Is that possible?
gourmetmn yes it is which is why the Catholic Church always takes a very long look at ANY apparitions or personal revelation and tests the spirit against truths revealed in the gospels. Good question!

I am a new Catholic convert I grew up in a end times protestant family I didn't hear anything about seals broken Bowls being poured out or the four horsemen and the mark of the beast I feel like the Catholic Version Makes absolutely no sense to me things are supposed to be bad at end the Catholic Version of the end times is like the protestant version of Creation
2nd comment: Jesus warns of false CHRIST who will come before the actual Jesus Christ will come. I'm not talking about the obvious false CHRIST now, claiming to be Christ. There is one in the Philippines, one in Miami Fl., others in Europe. Not that false Christ that is easy to detect. I'm talking about Satan himself to impersonate Christ 2nd coming with all of his evil Angels transformed into an angel of light. 2Cor. 11:14. The obvious difference between the true Jesus and Satan's coming is that the the true Jesus take his saints home to Heaven. While Satan when he comes to impersonate Christ in garments of light, he will come with the clouds too but will come down to this earth and walk among men and claiming I am Christ. So be careful you might be preparing for Satan's coming. Matt. 24:23-26
Samuel, it could also be North Korea's "Dear Leader", ISIS, and Oprah! Fear not! Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. As Children of the Light...focus on what is pure, lovely, of good report, etc..
I really would love to come back to my Catholic faith as Evangelicalism has been a big disappointment and I do yearn for the Sacraments,the Eucharist and the Mass but there is just one big obstacle that drives me away."MARY" The teachings of Mary being equal to Christ, being Co-Redemptress, perpetual virginity,and her acension to heaven and being sinless are just abhorrent to me and actually border on the demonic. For me there is NO ONE equal to the Messiah, He alone is to be praised and given ALL glory and no one else. That sole teaching on the deification of Mary is just so wrong and that alone keeps me from going back into the Catholic Church. If only there was a Catholic Church that glorifies only Jesus and Him alone i'd be there even if I had to relocate.,,,,,its just so sad.....sigh I guess i'll just stick to Evangelicalism as they lift up ONLY JESUS.
I understand your position as I once had a problem with that but your perception of how Catholics regarding Mary is so wrong. I like many other Catholics love Mary and have a strong devotion to her but I have never thought of her as equal to Jesus. All those teachings you are pointing out do not in anyway equate Mary to Christ. Where you really Catholic? I mean any Catholic knows that the very fact Mary is not part of the Trinity, she is way lower. I suggest you look up some teachings on Mary by Karl Brussad such as the Mary and the saints and Mary the Ark of the new covenant. Perhaps you will understand what position she plays in Catholicism but to say we Catholics think she is equal to Jesus Christ then you really are ignorant of our position. Check out a Book by Tim staples on the subject. Scriptural references and and all. God bless you.
One wonders what his dea of the 'birth' of the church means? The Holy Bible reveals Our LORD GOD JESUS CHRIST thru Old Testament Prophercies of His Coming thru the virgin(Isaiah 7:14 @ 9:6 @ Malakai 3:1-2) n fulfilled in The New Testament to "Birth" His Church. The Church of JESUS CHRIST(Matt1:22-25 @ Luke 1:26-38). And why was Our LORD GOD JESUS born thru the virgin?? To be The Saviour of the lost ones of this world! To my dear roman catholic brethren, i urge you, please pray to Our Heavenly Father Only "in" The Name of JESUS CHRIST(Mark 16:15-18 @ John 16:22-24) n then read the above Holy Bible Scriptures to come to The Knowledge of The Truth! I appreciate your concern. You are my breatheren and I pray to God that all souls may be saved because that is what our God desires. I would make one suggestion to you... This has helped more of of our lost breatheren than any other.. You know that our Lord created one true church and that church has been divided into hundreds of thousands of forms of Christianity. This can only have occurred as a result of the Prince of Lies and/or the pride of mankind thinking that he knew better. So what I and many others have done is to read the early church Fathers who wrote about how the faith was practised and what all Christians believed in the early church before all the divisions occurred. Please read these writings then look at what church that exists today looks just like the original church. The answer is unmistakeable for those who seek the truth. God Bless You.
