Are the Saints Aware of Our Prayers?
Переглядів 5916 років тому
Seventh-day Adventists claim that the Bible proves that souls in the afterlife aren’t cognitively aware of our lives on Earth, much less our prayer,. and, if this is true, then invoking the saints to pray for us is futile. In this episode of Ready Reasons, I show why this objection doesn’t deal the death blow that Seventh-day Adventists think it does.

Here more details about New Covenant Church and was good to share: The term "New Covenant Church" is often used by various Christian congregations to refer to their community of faith, grounded in the New Covenant established by Jesus Christ. The New Covenant itself is a central theme in Christian theology, based on the promises of God as fulfilled through Jesus. Here’s an overview of what the New Covenant Church typically signifies: ### Theological Basis 1. **New Covenant**: The New Covenant is prophesied in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New Testament. Key passages include: - **Jeremiah 31:31-34**: "The days are coming," declares the Lord, "when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah... I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people." - **Luke 22:20**: During the Last Supper, Jesus says, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you." - **Hebrews 8:6-13**: The writer of Hebrews explains that Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, established on better promises. 2. **Essence of the New Covenant**: - **Forgiveness of Sins**: The New Covenant involves the forgiveness of sins through Jesus' sacrificial death. - **Internal Transformation**: It emphasizes an internal change, where God's laws are written on believers' hearts. - **Personal Relationship with God**: Believers have a direct relationship with God through the Holy Spirit.

In the Bible it is written, John 4:24 GOD is spirit And those who worship him must worship him in spirit and truth. And he said he saw the Son of man at the right hand of God. Acts 7:56, Spirit has no hand this simply means the Son of man was standing by the power of God. Matthew 24:30 I pray the gentleman will read this and learned the truth

Preach! This is truly excellent. It took me becoming Anglican & discovering theologians such as NT Wright to learn proper eschatology like this. My sense is that in Sunday preaching & funerals there's far far too much focus on the disembodied, platonic, post death state. Really our hope as Christians is the glorious resurrection of the dead & the life of the world to come

You may want to read my blog on Victim Souls of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Being a victim soul is not a "feeling" any more than being a mystic is something that is a "feeling". Victim souls do not offer on their own "extreme" measures of sacrificing, and not "for souls in purgatory". The suffering is utilized by God for however God wills; God utilizes suffering for many purposes. A victim soul is rather obvious and is not something the person dreams up or feels or thinks. Being a victim soul is a reality, a supernatural plus a temporal type reality, both. Nothing at all strange nor extreme about it, other than the person's life actually has sufferings of all types more than the usual or typical, although a victim soul can be of any various levels or types of victim souls. Technically, souls can offer themelves as a victim soul, can offer his and her sufferings--can be temporary victim soul, primary victim soul, secondary vicitim soul, supportive victim soul, etc. Primary victim souls are rather obvious as those called and chosen for major and life-long sufferings of which the person did not cause his or her own sufferings whatsoever. God utilizes the natural world and also sufferings can and most often come from sin--sin of others who choose to drink and drive, for example, or to sin in a marriage and thus cause added sufferings to others by shirking their duties and also negating love of God, love of others, and disrespect, disregard vows mad before God and humankind. Maybe before commenting publicly on a topic, such as victim souls, do some research, pray about it, ask guidance from a holy priest on the topic, and also from victim souls themselves. If someone has not let you know what will be his question in advance, perhaps you can table it and say you will come back to it after you have researched and/or consider interviewing someone who has been a victim soul for many years. Victim souls are not weridos who decide their sufferings or decide what their sufferings will be used for--such as souls "in" purgatory (not a place, actually). ITis not that they think or feel that God has asked them. We are entering into the realm of supernatural reality enmeshed with temporal reality, when victim soulhood is the reality being discussed. There is an opportunity here to do much good and to help many sufferings souls recognize the purposeful mission they have or could have been ignoring or not recognizing, and make a huge difference in God's will and mission of saving souls and making reparation for sin, involving His beloved children who suffer and can find the worth and beauty and love in suffering, as a result, and do much good in life and for many other souls. You may also wish to define "holy priest." Plus, you may wish to direct persons to other victim souls, for even "holy" priests may not know much if anything about this topic. However, a priest adept in discernment of spirits and wise in years and in love of God, could help persons discern as well as to understand suffering more from God's purview, not ours of temporal view of suffering which tends to be negative or at minmum, quite limited to temporal, not supernatural nor spiritual nor even mystical grasp or understanding. A mystic priest may be helpful in this discussion, but how many priests are mystics? In addition, God tends not to "call" victim souls by having some pronouncement, "Please by my victim soul" or "You are a victim soul henceforth." It is more subtle, more spiritually nuanced, usually, and gradual. God also prepares the person through natural means, utilizing ithe temporal circumstances, or also utilizes cues and clues carefully placed, plus some numinous clues or experences, even word given here or there so that the person begins to notice and ponder, and eventually realizes this is what God is opening up to them, sharing, inviting with love and caring support, for victim soulhood is painful! This is a reality and with great sufferings in various levels and modalities! It also is generally private and quite misunderstood, so that the more you can learn and present, the better people will understand with respect and accept with appreciation for those who are victim souls and to consider that atany point in their own lives, they could find themselves in positions in which they could do well to offer themselves---or else suffer without purpose, I guess. Their choice. God does give us choice in the matter of if and how the sufferings may or may not be utilized. I prefer having my sufferings utilized by God. Makes all thel difference in my existence, in my soul, in my temporal and spiritual life, as well. Note that there are different levels and degrees of victim soulhood. It's all a beautiful opportunity and grace. You may wish to explore it further as you are in a position to do much good or also to frighten people or make them wary and leary of that which God honors and values very much.

No matter how much works you do if you are worshipping or venerating a wrong god, you cannot be justified. Pagan traditions (traditions not in the Bible) with your catechism (Catholic Dogmas) are your source of salvation. You’re using the Bible for deception because in Roman Catholic salvation is following the traditions, catechism, & religious assumptions.

Praying to the dead people, to work of arts made of wood, stone, plastics, etc. for intercession are called spiritist or “NECROMANCER” Deuteronomy 18:11 …they call forth the spirits of the dead. 1Tim 2:5 … one God one mediator. Romans 8:34…it is Jesus Christ interceding for us thru the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:26 …but the Spirit himself intercedes for us…Luke 11:13 …the heavenly father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. In Matt 6:9 as children of God, believers have direct access to God in Jesus’ name. Jesus taught believers to pray directly to God. “The Lord’s Prayer”. Ecclesiates 9:5 …living..will die., but dead know nothing, they have no further reward…never again will they have a part in anything that happens under the sun. 2Cor 5:6-10 we are confident to be away in the body (Flesh), to be present with the Lord”(Spirit) …for we must all appear in the judgment seat of Christ (Soul). Hebrew 9:27 People are destined to die once (in flesh) and then immediately face the judgement (Soul). Either you’ll be in paradise or to gehena (Parable of Lazarus & the rich man). This Mary you venerate is the same with the most important woman mentioned in Quran. The Queen of Heaven (Rev.18:7). Mary (mother of Jesus) and the Roman Catholic & Islam “Mary (The impostor)” are two different persons named with Mary. Many will be deceived and follow the wide path (Matt 7:13). No one has ascended to heaven except the one who came down from heaven. Who among them saw “the queen of heaven, mother of god” in heaven? Enoch, Elijah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Paul, Steven, or John? These people were taken to heaven. How come no one of them saw your queen? Because she is not the real mother of Jesus that you venerate. Stop using your human interpretation and assumptions! Mary perpetual virginity How come you keep on saying your Mary is a virgin and at the same time also the one in Rev. 12.1? Read Rev 12.2 “She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth”??? The woman behind this is the wife of Nimrod who is a whore (Rev. 17:5-6), she claimed as a virgin (Semiramis or Ishtar was renamed Mary & the mother of baby Tammuz as Jesus). She deceived Nimrod which led him to rebel against God. Similarly, the Roman Catholics are venerating the same woman. Your Mary and Tammuz tandem deceives many (2Tim 3:13-15 - The Impostors). Nevertheless, you are win-ning. Roman Catholics and Muslims are venerating the same Mary. Correct? She is but she is not. Rev. 18:4 “Come out of her my people. …..I am a Berean

    4. To administer the teaching of blessing NOT the Confession of sin to a priest AND administer the forgiveness of sin. It is not a teaching of God. Priest are deceivers pretending as Jesus (during Eucharist) or apostles. Apostles were chosen by Jesus while your priest are chosen by sinners like me. Are they the same ? HELL NO! Only in Roman Catholic. For true Christians, we confess and ask forgiveness to the man whom we sinned then to the spirit of God. Not to a priest who pretends that he can forgive a sin. Roman pagan priest cannot be an apostle of Jesus. An apostle has to have physically walked with Christ. None of the apostles knows the word Roman Catholic. 4th sacrament of deception. 5. Abomination of Vatican for granting their priests to administer blessings of SAME-SEX couples. A landmark ruling, Dec. 19, 2023. The 5th sacrament of deception. 6. Anointing of the sick. Roman Pagan Pope claims to be the successors of apostle Peter and the “Vicar of Christ” (substitute of God)? But during COVID-19 pandemic the most high his Holiness of Catholic Pagan never healed no one. He hid himself, remained silent, and covered himself with a mask. 6th sacrament of deception. 7. Holy Orders from the beast who lived in seven hills. This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is…. and The 7th sacrament of deception…….I am a Berean

For many will be deceived. 1. No one was baptized by Jesus with water and spirit. No infant baptism in Christianity. Only in Roman “pagan” tradition. Baptism cannot save you from original sin which the punishment is death. That is why we all die. Jesus will baptize you with Spirit and with fire that we may become immortal . 1st sacrament of deception. 2. Confirmation is also deception. No Christians ever had a confirmation ceremony. Christian baptism does not need confirmation because we need to know and accept Jesus before being baptized. Pagans, Jews, & gentiles were baptized by John never knew the Holy Spirit similar with the infant baptism. So, pagan tradition of confirmation is the 2nd sacrament of deception. 3. Eucharist pagan Roman Catholic ritual literally eat the meat and drinking the blood. For Christians, we eat the flesh which is the word of God who turned flesh and to drink his blood which is the water of life for the forgiveness of sin. I hope you see who is more logical. The righteous Christian bible believers or the Roman Tradition & Catechism Catholic… I am a Berean

Roman Catholic dogmas are principles given and formulated by the Roman Bishops inpired by Mystery Babylon. Well oriented with pagan belief and tradition. That is why many of followers are confused including your church fathers. Otherwise, like the Bible said, there should be no confusion. Roman Catholic keep putting words in the mouth of Mary and giving their own interpretation. You are forcing your Mary to be virgin (Read Rev: 12.1-2 that virgin is crying in pain, but she is not the Mary) in order to fit your dogma, and to be consistent to the mystery woman of Babylon (Samiramis) and baby Tammuz as Jesus (search it in Google). This is the Mary you venerate is the same with the most important woman mentioned in Quran. The mother of god, queen of heaven? Mary (mother of Jesus) and Roman Catholic & Islam “Mary (The impostor)” are two different persons named with Mary. Many will be deceived and follow the wide path (Matt 7:13). Enoch, Elijah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Paul, Steven, or John? These people were taken to heaven. How come no one of them saw your queen? Because she is not the real mother of Jesus (Rev.18:7) that you venerate. In the Bible, the mother of Jesus only uttered 4 times. She’s already fullfiled and now in peace. The woman you call Mary is still very busy, she’s been giving several messages and performing miracles, she is covered with blasphemous names (Rev.17:3). She is the image of the beast that is given the power to talk. Do not be deceived. She is the one mentioned in Rev. 13, 17, and 18. She is but she is not the one. …. I am a Berean

Is Bowing to the Virgin Mary and the Saints idolatry? The idolatry would not be due to the act of bowing; It would be due to the intentional offering of worship. Solomon didn't worship his mother when he bowed before her in 1 king 2:19 Jesus himself said in Revelation 3:9 that he will make those of the synagogue of satan bow down before the feet of the Christians in Philadelphia Genesis 33:3 Jacob bowed down until his face touch the ground 7 times in front of his brother Esau Jacob did it as sign of humility! This is the same Jacob that Jesus mentioned in Luke 13:28, "There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrown out." Therefore of course Jacob was not an idolater! Genesis 23:12 Again Abraham bowed down before the people of the land Genesis 19:1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. Then David went out of the cave and called out to Saul, "My lord the king!" When Saul looked behind him, David bowed down and prostrated himself with his face to the ground. (1Samual 24:8) All this shows that the intention was not to worship but to show humility and respect.

Praying to the dead is strictly forbidden in the Bible. Deuteronomy 18:11 tells us that anyone who “consults with the dead” is “detestable to the Lord.” The story of Saul consulting a medium to bring up the spirit of the dead Samuel resulted in his death “because he was unfaithful to the LORD; he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for guidance” (1 Samuel 28:1-25; 1 Chronicles 10:13-14). Clearly, God has declared that such things are not to be done.

John the Baptist also prophesied: Matthew 3: 7, 10 When he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?" "Even now the ax lies at the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire." The apostle Paul also foresaw something similar: 1 Thessalonians 2:15-16 who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets and persecuted us; they do not please God, and are opposed to everyone, trying to prevent us from speaking to the Gentiles that they may be saved, thus constantly filling up the measure of their sins. But the wrath of God has finally begun to come upon them.

The first time in 76 years I've heard a beautiful, breathtaking and true interpretation of the end times. I'm ever stunned by the deep insight of the Catholic Church into the word of truth, the gospel of our salvation. The Church digs deep under the surface to find hidden treasures. Praise be to God. I've been deceived many times before by non-Catholics on their views about the end times. This true teaching must be promulgated by the Catholic Church over and over again. The wrong teachings of other Christian churches on the subject of the end times have influenced many a Catholic to leave the true church and to join the dissidents.

The requirement for *explicit* evidence isn't a biblical requirement and one Catholics/Orthodox reject as such. That's not even what sola Scriptura asserts. It's a false premise. Does Jesus ever teach directly the doctrine of the Trinity or to pray to Him? Does He tell us what the biblical cannon is? Does Scripture offer a requirement or command that women can recieve communion? I could go on and on - the argument is simply nonsense. That belief in the Communion of Saints (i.e. the innovocation of the saints in Heaven) is a theological conlusion from what we see present in Scripture, much like the Trinity. All of the following serve as evidence in this belief: - The entire Body of Christ (including the members in Heaven) is exhorted to act as intercessors for all men (1 Timothy 2:1-4) - Scripture exhorts intercession/prayers to be made for fellow believers (James 5:16, Ephesians 6:18, Romans 15:30-31, etc.) and this applies to members of the Body in Heaven as the Body is unified (1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Romans 8:35-39, Romans 12:4-5, etc.) - Prayers are applied to God *and people* in the New Testament - Those in Heaven are alive (Mark 12:26-27, Luke 20:38, Matthew 22:32, John 11:25-26, Revelation 6:9-11, etc.) - The saints and angels pray for us and present prayers to God in Heaven (Revelation 5:8; 8:3-4, etc.) Much more evidence could be presented as well. There are also many ways to from such an argument.

You are correct Karlo that there’s nothing wrong in the images in church. But to bow before a statue of any kind is most certainly an act of idolatry. Please do research on the nation of Israel and how they always offended Yahweh by bowing and serving images. God is a Spirit and those who worship the true LORD are to worship him in spirit and truth. John 4:24 Blessings on your research 🕊

At the Carmelite Priory and Marian Shrine at Aylesford in Kent. England there is statue of Our Lady based on the Vision of Rev 12. It is situated behind the Open Air Altar, Another matter. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church claims to have the Ark of the Covenant. They keep it in a cave where only Orthodox Archbishops may enter.

I believe that John the Apostle/Evangelist wrote Revelation as well as the Gospel of John. However I do not know which order he wrote them.

The reality is that it seems that Paul never rebuked Peter but instead he’s talking about Cephas one the seventy. Sadly this confusing reading is used wrongly and deceitfully by many to reject the office of the Pope.
