Ice Fishing Tips to CATCH MORE WALLEYE!

  • Today we are ice fishing for walleyes on Mille Lacs Lake in northern Minnesota. Mille lacs is a phenomenal walleye lake and is a ton of fun to ice fish! In this video I set up for some evening fishing out on the mud flats. The bite has been a little finicky but I still managed to catch a few fish on some downsized lures and techniques. Thanks for watching the ice fishing videos!

Used these on a really cold day at the lake ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxDn2sw8y7H6oNOV0envADWPlTV9pvctAA the spool was really fluent in letting the line out and the whole mechanism was really responsive to any hit from the fish, it was also great that you can adjust it for big or small fish. The light it came with works great in the dark. The only thing that I had problems with is the depth droppers clasp is really weak and it wouldn't stay on the hook unless you threaded the hook through the springs

*These work with rod and reel or tip ups **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s good for keeping snow out of the hole and to greatly slow hole freezing. They are not heavy so need to be held down by tip up or some snow/ice shavings if windy. Have not had them freeze down even when placed in wet ice shavings.*

if you are based in hayward, why do you drive to MN so much? It seems like most of your videos are in MN. Is it that you tell us the lake name when you are in MN, but you leave the name out when you are in WI so you're not advertising the good waters in WI, but people know Leech and Milli are famous walleye lakes? ?
