Hi Farrah, thank you for sharing all the lovely vacation scenery with us. I've never been to Maine, but seeing your vlog makes me want to travel there. It's great that you're enjoying(enjoyed?) your time with Clarissa, your GarbAugust read and your audio book 🌊⛱️🌧☀️📖.
@@mrsfruity76 Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! And yes, I didn’t mention it for some reason in this vlog, but I finished Clarissa and loved it! 🤗🎉📚. I hope your reading is going well. :)
@@vens_corner Thank you, Ven! I hope you get some sunshine soon where you live. It makes a huge difference for me. Right now it’s raining for the first time in ages and I’m glad because it makes me feel less guilty about sitting inside and relaxing 😆.
@@awebofstories Yes! They kind of look like beavers, but smaller and without the tail. Woodchucks (aka groundhogs) are all over the place here. :) Thank you for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed the vlog!
Thanks Julie! I agree, I could look at and listen to the ocean for hours. It’s a actually hard for me to read while I’m there because I just want to look at the waves and people watch 😅
i absolutely love these videos… i love the way you seamlessly incorporate all the beautiful nature sights and sounds into the video and how relaxing everything is. and almost done with clarissa! excited to hear your full thoughts on that one, definitely a beast to get through
@@CallosumBooks Wow, that’s so nice of you to say, thank you, I appreciate that and I’m glad you like these types of videos! And yes, I ended up finishing Clarissa this month and I really liked it. I’m working on editing my vlog for it so hopefully that will be up soon! Thanks for watching :)
@@clarepotter7584 thank you, Clare! I agree, the Autumn weather is here too and I already miss the warmth of summer! Thank goodness the leaves at least make it so pretty!
Beautiful scenery. Maine and the Adirondacks looked so peaceful and lovely. I have never been to either and I am quite jealous that I can't easily visit such beautiful places. Wonderful blog!
@@LaurieInTexas Thank you, Laurie! We were so fortunate to be able to visit both places this summer as camping makes it much more affordable to take multiple trips. The only downfall about living here is the very long winters, but in the summer, it’s so beautiful. I have only been to Texas once (Dallas/Fort Worrh), but I have a good friend in San Antonio that I would love to visit one of these days! Especially in the dead of winter when I need some warmth! I hope you have a great rest of your week!
Beautiful VLOG!!! The Adirondacks look at LOT like the Shenandoah! What a beautiful country we live in and I'm so glad you are willing to share your little piece of it! Happy Reading to you!
Thanks Reney! It really is so pretty up there and the camera never does it justice. I love all the blues and greens and that the air always smells like cedar when you walk in the woods. I wish I was back there now as I bet the foliage is really starting to turn 🤩🍁🍂🍃
Thanks, Aaron! I think the first one is probably the best one anyway, so if you never get around to reading the other two, you at least got the best part 😄.
Such a beautiful vlog Farrah! I loved the His Dark Materials, but understand why others would not enjoy the books. Beautiful scenery. Lovely beaches, we are so blessed to live by the ocean.
@@CliffsDarkGems Thank you, Cliff! Yes, that’s so wonderful that you live near the ocean. I feel very lucky to live within a few hours from it. There is something so peaceful about being able to look out at that horizon and watch the waves. Someday, we hope to move even closer to the ocean once the girls are done with school. I would love to be able to go there more often. If you ever feel inspired to make a vlog, I would love to see what the coastline near you looks like! :)
Loved seeing the footage from the Adirondacks and the Ocean, looks beautiful! I'm terrible about reading when I'm on vacation too, I always get a few pages but not much more.
@@SynsBookNook Thanks Syd! I’m glad I’m not the only one who can’t read on vacation. Sometimes I can, but for those trips, there always seemed to be something else to do and too much family to talk to that I could never get more than a few pages at a time lol.
it blows my mind how you can read so many books and keep them straight, my little brain would combust 😅. You really make me want to check out this His Dark Materials series! i always take forever to pull the trigger on a series but i'm very intrigued haha
@@grace_silva Ooh I hope you like it if you try it. Many people think the first book is the best. I know, I always have too many books going at once and it takes me forever to get through them because I have to divide my time to read them! Some I only do in the morning before work, some are audiobooks that I listen to while I’m walking or doing chores around the house and then some I usually read in the evening. It’s kind of crazy lol. 😆
Again, a really lovely vlog. My favorite nature clip was the woodchuck though lol 😭 Happy readings as always and I hope you find some more enjoyable reads this fall and winter season.
@@Adam_Dupree Thanks, Adam! I’m glad you enjoyed the woodchuck! He or she must have a burrow nearby because I’ve seen them so much this past summer. :) Have you read anything good lately?
@@bookstalgic Um, yes actually! I am about halfway through Dante’s inferno. I plan on reading all three parts of the Divine Comedy before the year’s end-taking the Thomas Bergin translation (1969). There is a booktuber and channel named Tom from LA, and he reads from the Italian as well as more modern english versions, so I am learning through him as well as other secondary sources what is happening in that epic. Without Toms channel I definitely would be lost in the gloomy woods, but it’s going great so far. How about you?
@@Adam_Dupree That’s great! Dante’s Inferno is on my list to read as well. I love channels that help explain some of these older books and the booktuber you mentioned must have some great insights, especially since he’s able to read it in Italian! I really hope you enjoy it and I’ll have to subscribe to him so that I can watch his videos when I’m ready to read that one! As for my reading, I have a video coming up later this morning with my summer reading wrap up and a peek at what I’m reading now. It’s a bunch of random books from multiple genres as usual 😄.
@@bookstalgic Yes, his insights are very thoughtful and informative. And thank you! I look forward to the vlog as always. You have very interesting reads most of the time, some of which I have queued in my upcoming reading year. Have fun reading😊
As always I enjoyed the vlog. My reading month has been good. Bumped up to about 20 books, 180 pages a day (I really need to stop, lol). Been getting out 2,000 words a day as well and still studying Latin. I plan to just stick to you and a few other booktubers tbh. I kinda got in some hot waters in the comment section on one vid, but don't worry I had some ice! I am making a steady recovery haha. But I'm still debating on if I wanna make a channel. I just don't think I'm emotive enough on camera; when I'm thinking about stuff there's not a lot of humor or fun times, haha. Good to see you're doing well!
Thank you! Wow, 20 books makes me feel better about the 8-9 I usually have going at once 😂. I understand the pull to read multiple books at once so I get it! That’s great that you’ve been so productive with your reading, writing and studying! Sorry to hear you had a hard time with other commenters on a different channel. Unfortunately, people are quick to use the comment section as a way to unleash their own anger and misery on strangers. Glad to hear you’re on your way back up from that experience! I hear you, starting a channel and putting ourselves out there can be very intimidating terms of wondering if we would be good enough. I still feel like I talk too slowly and I’m not an overly expressive person on camera either even though I am in my head lol. Well, if you do end up starting one, let me know! Hope you have a good week ✌️
@@bookstalgic Eh, it was probably my fault too. I can come off pretty strong sometimes, and it can seem I'm a bit stand-offish. Most of the time it's just me sharing my opinion in the most honest way possible; and I'm aware that it can sometimes appear strange, lol. Especially on the internet. I just have to learn that there really isn't a place for unfiltered honesty on the internet. But I'd even go so far as to say that there's not a place for it in a lot of the books we read. To me the ancients like Virgil, Homer, Plutarch, etc., strike me as the most transparent in all of literature.

@@thegkbc4510 don’t worry, the Yankees hat will likely not come out again lol 😆 as I have many others to choose from 🤗. Thanks again for the fun book. It was bad, but fun 😄. We don’t go tent camping anymore even though I enjoy it. My husband wants a bed and electric so he’s kind of a camping diva, more than I am! He grew up camping all the time and I didn’t so it feels more fun to me haha. Sometimes I still set up the tent in our yard and the girls and I sleep in there on a summer night!
