It’s not the killer’s fault at all because without cars they can’t kill. True story. So l totally agree with the senator, good job!

You don't get to tell a story after a senator makes a statement. You don't get to use a senators time for pussy footing about with answers for questions that require simple yes or no answers.
They only have a certain amount of time & people like Mark are trained to drag out answers with long winded soliloquies to eat up time without actually really answering the question at hand
Because, if you watch any of his other hearings, he never gives direct answers and tip toes around the facts with corporate speak. The senators are tired of having their time eaten up with bullshit.
This senator isn't very good at this. Hes not a journalist or an interviewer. He should let Mark speak and then trap him witg his own words. Shouting over someone isn't a food interview style.
Because he deployed and evil algorithm which has driven many teenage girls to depression and suicide. The algo has done other damage too. To be fair to Musk, it's not just facebook/instagram that done this, so he shouldn't be the only one held to account.
Because his platforms have allowed harassment, pedophile groups to fester and trade illegal photos/stories/videos, they've actively censored opposing political sides for 8 years now, they've done illegal data gathering, they don't protect any data well. this list goes on and on, you have genuinely no idea what these platforms are up to, they have absolutely ZERO safety measures for minors and its a breeding ground for outrageous grooming and predatory nature.
I would not defend a billionaire who makes fortune on a product that does not necessarily advance society, but to blame your kid’s self image on a social media company sounds pushing it. It is a for profit company, free to use, they can certainly do better but it is the responsibility of the government to safeguard and limit these companies. I am sure most of us will chose a world with instagram and facebook over a world with it.
To be fair, as poisonous as social platforms are, or rather have become, I don't really find it fair to hold him at fault here. You choose what you follow and what you interact with. You choose what and who you block and prevent from interacting with you. You choose what you put out on internet thats related to you. And lets not forget that parents choose how much they want to get involved with their children and just be aware of waht that child is doing, dealing with and going through.

When Jesus comes, he can't hide his sorry self!@@charleskavoukjian3441
Right, because it was all his fault.
This is an area where the governments around the world should 100% step in and create safety measures for vulnerable groups, these company’s clearly are not going to do it, the governments around the world are late to be implementing these measures. Parents also hold a responsibility to their children to help them navigate through these horrible social media sites, imagine a stranger walked up to your child and told them think x y and z would you tolerate it? I think not, so why let a stranger online do the same?
Corporations are governments
@@shif06then the correct government is of North Korean . Who you like to spend ur nights in NK ? One supreme leader one laws and everything under that supreme hand
Btw why parents always keep their eye on their children. People can't even stop Japanese train incidents and talking about these.
cause videos like these make them think that their kid is not their responsibility
Good gesture Mr Hawley
The senator is too pushy, it looks like a monolog, he didn't even give time for the reply, was interrupting all the time and asking manipulative questions.
This is beauty of freedom of expression whether through questioning the great one
Wow , Mark Zuckerberg shocked 😲 😯
A forced apology.
Works for me
I mean I get where the senator is coming from. But isn’t it also the parent’s responsibility as to what their teenagers are doing? To monitor what platforms these teens are on? So you can’t blame the product. I mean we all know the product is bad. Why do you knowingly allow your children to get on them? What’s the age old saying? “It takes two to tango”.
Absolutely idk why this guy thought he was winning against mark there’s so many factors that plays a part here it’s not just the app
literally and also it takes time to create something that prevents nudity being posted or sent in DMs
Great work by Mr hawley ❤
Respect 🙏
The question is after all the drama is anyone, jailed....???
Worst platforms ever imvented!
dont consume that. is easy xDD
dont use it then lol
Still people are using that. Speaks volumes about people and that includes the company itself and the consumers.
@@adonai4906 u make it sound so easy. im a 25 year old guy i started using computers when i was 12. this isnt exactly related i didnt use instagram and im not a girl but i got so addicted to video games and lost 13 years of my life. it's not the video game company's fault entirely. it's not my parent's fault entirely. it's largely my fault. but i have an intense impatient addictive personality and i was going through a lot of stress in my teen years then do we just say "don't use it then lol" to someone like me who was extremely depressed in my teens and early 20s and used video games to cope and overtime it made my mental health 100 times worse?
A parent is to blame if they allow their children to use this technology. Take it away from them!
I love this man. Senator Hawley. Thank you for the work that you do on this issue.
gross society
How is a ceo responsible for someone’s choice to bully someone. Why hold the company liable for a USERS actions?
Yeah to be honest, I was thinking along the same lines. However, Facebook needs to make sure that nudity stuff is GONE. A quick effective way to report harassment would be good too. Even if its AI generated. It means there may be errors...but who could afford to run a department dealing with millions & millions of reports & complaints?
@@StormSheldonbetter safe than sorry as they say
@@StormSheldon the thing is there are ways to report harassment so wdym.? also it takes time to make sure no nudity can be posted completely
Social media is the worst ever I agree
If you think that then why comment if you comment on any page or video that means you are incorrect
@@Amaru722😮
Not always. It depends on how you use it. I always search and use it in a good way.
thats like saying cars are the worst ever because some people sometimes die from traffic accidents... pointless statement
Why aren't the photo senders in court?
It’s simple logic, if someone killed another person hitting him with a car, it’s solely the car company’s fault for creating cars, the company should’ve known better that their cars can kill, so they should not make cars in the first place. It’s not the killer’s fault at all because without cars they can’t kill. True story. So l totally agree with the senator, good job!
Amen Senator Hawley!
I can´t imagine if the government decide what we see on internet..
North Korea, China 😂
Josh keep up the good work .
Isn't Facebook an 18+ app? This is on the parents.
No its 13+
@@karol7976 Dang you’re right, it’s actually 12+ , parents should be not be allowing their children on these predatory social media sites
Hawley: you are in national television, now
Mark : starts apologising
It's easier to get a camel through the eye of a needle than to get a rich man to fallow God! True here!
Too many trickery youre doing Hawley. Too much dishonesty.
What trickery and dishonesty? FB shuts up those who question covid and vaccine!
But one thing we agree, is that Facebook should not exist.
Get off the platform, let me ask you this.
How hard is to it delete an app?
Just take it down hold him accountable senator Hawley
It isnt Marks fault. Where are the parents in all of this..?
You right it’s all what the parents show the kids “DIGITAL HALLUCINATION” Zucc didn’t make skibidi toilet 🚽
Blame the parents for not monitoring their child properly and not a product. Self harming content doesnt appear if you dont look for it. Do you blame car companies if you cause an accident. No. Same logic here
Not real. Cars don't come out of nowhere and start stalking you.
@@colehanson4270 What does that have to do with anything? Apps don't come out of nowhere and start stalking you suddenly. Somebody has to consciously download the app AND agree to the end user license agreement. Guess what, a car is linked to a registration plate number and every time your plate gets scanned the state knows where you are and how you move around. Your argument isn't as smart as you think it is buddy.
@@duclonghoang161 And you show that you don't understand the uncontrollable, dangerously immersive and hugely negative effects of hours on social media on teens (or anyone for that matter)... and you try controlling your kids access if your spouse doesn't agree... in this world you get labelled a control freak and quickly find yourself alone.
yeah but car accidents cant be controlled and happen spontaneously and the cause is the two or more drivers inability or mistake. CEOs of these media outlets have direct control over its company the content it produces to certain demographics. The blame shouldnt be diverted to the parents if social medias companies condones under age usage and fails to provide a safety net that the company indirectly asserts by letting the youth on the platform in the first place
@@Grover483-vt4zc I am not denying the bad sides of social media and the algorithms that make it addicting to teens and children. But why blame the creators of those apps when the kids themselves searched for that type of content and kept on going and the parents let it happen the span of months and years? Do you blame the creator of hammers if your child hits itself with one? No, so why would you blame app creators when the child is misusing the tool? Also, if you'd rather not look like a control freak than protecting your own child, that tells me a lot about where your priorities lie, maybe you also should get off social media and don't care if anybody labels a control freak or anything
Should have let Zuckerberg answer the question instead of balling over with questions, if you ask questions you need answers, otherwise it’s pointless
Carrying water for Zionist Tech Oligarchs.
Because, if you watch any of his other hearings, he never gives direct answers and tip toes around the facts with corporate speak. The senators are tired of having their time eaten up with bullshit.
The energy that Mr.Hawley portrays is amazing and much needed in this world.
That man is an angel.
Sacrificing children’s mental health just for greed is what I would call evil
Senator is not interested in understanding both sides, he already decided that corporations are wrong. He is not professing
This senator isn't very good at this. Hes not a journalist or an interviewer. He should let Mark speak and then trap him witg his own words. Shouting over someone isn't a food interview style.
And you are?
Lmao!! Ummm, this is what is called a committee. Educate yourself “pimp”
agreed this guy just interrupts and asks stupid questions that don’t prove anything
I agree, I hate food interview styles. Thank God this is a good interview style.
funny how instagram has not changed at all even now.
I really respected and loved Mr. Senator who works for our country.
Senator Hawley is just my hero! Damn . He goes right to the point! Its nice to see politicians who confronts all this hypocrisy
Twitter Tik Tok Snap Chat UA-cam this problem is not exclusive to instagram. The senator is misguided in his approach. Makes him easily dismissable.
How exactly do you propose that nudes are being directly sent to users on UA-cam?
Hey Not UA-cam. Need UA-cam to watch these videos :)
@@jin6000 i think they meant actual videos not being moderated of nudes
this is crazy, why must he apologise 😂😂😂this is madness
Because he deployed and evil algorithm which has driven many teenage girls to depression and suicide. The algo has done other damage too. To be fair to Musk, it's not just facebook/instagram that done this, so he shouldn't be the only one held to account.
Because his platforms have allowed harassment, pedophile groups to fester and trade illegal photos/stories/videos, they've actively censored opposing political sides for 8 years now, they've done illegal data gathering, they don't protect any data well. this list goes on and on, you have genuinely no idea what these platforms are up to, they have absolutely ZERO safety measures for minors and its a breeding ground for outrageous grooming and predatory nature.
he only want to make money and dont be responsible for chaos he made. Its just business nothing personal
Well done senator I am Somali Living in ethiopia I appreciate your responsibility
Mr Hawley respect sir... Need this thinking ❤❤
I agree with you. I sont think mark is the one who should be grilled here. He made a platform and its up to the users how they use it. If you don't like being exposed to don't use the platform. We should blame the inventor of cars for all car accidents.
Yeah, MARK shouldn't be the only one blamed but he is at fault. The way algorithms catch copyrighted items right away they don't filter po*n stuff. I myself am an adult and I do not follow any such account but I have seen po*n videos at night that came into my feed without my wish.
@@rainy.aesthetics There are things that needs to be fixed and we know that, It is improving slowly and nothing is ever perfect. But the way Hawley just grilled Mark is just unjustified
You can blame Mark for kids using the app its their choice and no one is forcing them literally if you dont want the side effects of social media turn off the device
The platform must prohibit minors from using it. If the platform does that, these minors will not expose themselves to the harm of pornography, etc.
You cant blame rapists and kidnappers on streets its civilians faults to roam on the street?
