Fréderic Mugnier on holding on to Musigny

Frédéric Mugnier shares his concerns that the great wines of Burgundy are not receiving minimum ageing in bottle, let alone a decent period of maturation. He is frustrated with restaurants in particular where grand crus compete with wines designed to be enjoyed early. Hence has decided to hold back his grand cru Musigny for a few years. As Bonnes-Mares and Les Amoureuses show more in youth, they will continue to be released at the usual time.
