Breaks my heart that I'm just now learning about Vic Chestnutt and his music. I look at him on this video, especially while the intro plays, and think, What a sweetheart. I'd fall for him in a heartbeat. But the heartbeat is broken, and now so am I.

Vic's brilliance can never be replaced, this performance is just incredible. I've watched this a dozen times and each time am reminded how, despite how dark and uncertain life is, I'm actually not doing this all by myself. Vic knew this, and I'm grateful for the wisdom he shared with us all.
I return to videos from this concert every few months. I don't think I've seen this one yet. There is a magic about this concert that I cannot fully comprehend. Every performance captures the essence of being alive. Really amazing work with the video. I know you'll get the full thing up eventually. Looking forward to that!
