    I usually cook my broccoli for about 3 minutes on low heat on the stove with the lid covered then let it steam for about 7 to avoid the Goitrogen thyroid lowering effects. Is this a good way to eat it ? 🙏

    • @foodsdrinks
      @foodsdrinks  9 місяців тому +1

      Absolutely, that sounds like a wonderful method! Steaming broccoli is a great way to preserve its nutrients, and keeping it covered allows it to cook gently while retaining its vibrant color and crisp texture. Regarding the goitrogens, cooking does help in reducing their levels, thus making it safer for those concerned about thyroid health. However, it's also essential to consider the diversity and balance in your diet to ensure that you are not over-consuming goitrogenic foods.

    Why im bloated after eating that veggies

    • @foodsdrinks
      @foodsdrinks  6 місяців тому +1

      It's quite common to feel bloated after eating broccoli and similar vegetables. Broccoli contains high amounts of fiber and a carbohydrate called raffinose, which can be a bit tough for some people to digest. This can lead to gas and bloating. Drinking plenty of water and eating these veggies in moderation may help. If you're consistently feeling uncomfortable, though, it might be a good idea to discuss this with a healthcare professional.
