Congratulations 🎉 my son myself and my husband are all September birthdays!! We love watching your videos as we are down in the Livermore valley and we appreciate your knowledge and the fact that you’re in our zone! Thanks for sharing your lives with us!
Thanks for sharing the garden and family update. Since I am in the Sacramento area, I always like to see how my garden is doing in comparison to yours.
Love the clips . Glad to see another garden in zone 9B. I am in Marysville Ca. We have so much clay soil. Will do a lot more raise beds this year for 2024. Have you had success with any yellow cherry tomatoes. Have you grown any walking onions.
Congratulations to you both on the baby! 🎉 Very exciting, and September will be here sooner than we think. 😊 I love getting getting your beautiful garden updates. Are there any good tips growing flowers that are good for the summer heat? I would appreciate it. Thank you, thank you.
Thank you so much! It took me a while to figure out good hot weather flowers, and found that certain varieties tend to hold up better than others. I really like the Giant Zinnias and the Strawflower this year has been great. I usually plant a bunch of different varieties and some grow and some don’t 😂. So it’s trial and error. With all our summer plants, we’ve also found that planting early (before the heat starts) and getting on a good watering routine early really helps. Once our plants all sprouted and established we back off watering from every 2 to every 3 days, which forces the plants to have deeper roots which will help them withstand hot temps. Long winded answer but I hope it helps!
Hey how’s everything going haven’t seen a video from y’all in a while usually y’all have your fall starts/ fall video going up. I’m pregnant as well and live in Vacaville so I love watching y’all’s videos to see what could be possible in my own garden if I put some effort in lol
Everything is good here! We put a few broccoli and cabbage starts in, and I direct sowed some seed and planted garlic but overall a pretty quiet fall for us! I hope to find time to put an update video for y’all soon.. life’s been so busy with a little baby!
