So Cal 9b here. Crazy cold and extremely wet winter. Last year, we had just under 4 inches for the year. This year, we are just under 14 inches so far. My peas were planted in January and are just now flowering, too. This was the best year for lettuce. I harvested a few times a week since December. I just pulled them out today to put my tomatoes in. Love seeing your garden. Thanks for sharing.
It was such a strange winter! The peas seemed to just be a little late, we harvested all of them today to make room for summer veggies.. I think we have well over a gallon of shelled peas, crazy.
Hey Neighbor 😊 I was looking forward to a post from you because I'm in Sacramento and I am about a month behind where my garden was last year because of the EXTENDED winter😂 We have the super long growing season here so I'm not too concerned. I didn't have a winter garden last year so I am excited to get outside. I have almost 100 seedlings inside😂😂 I'm ready but the temps are not Your garden is so beautiful and organized. I've never tried it, but you can plant the tomato laying sideways and stake just the top up. It helps when they're really leggy and you can't dig down deep enough.
We have definitely done this in the past with success. Probably could have done it this year and they would have been fine but we just decided to restart a bunch of them. It's funny, some re-starts did a lot better round two, but a couple remained the same so I am thinking that it may be the variety. Who knows!
Your onions and garlic are impressive. The drumstick flowers are hilarious. The solar lights are really cute. The carrots are exciting - I only tried them once, didn't do it right, so it didn't work . I'll try again. Those fava bean flowers are gorgeous! Ooo! An artichoke! Poor Alfonso; use some shade cloth to protect him from sun! Leonardo is looking good! About your peas - have you tried inoculating them before planting? I've heard that works really well. Great tour! A lot going on! Spring gardens are the best!

I wish for you guys to have success, I have 200 tomato plants and over 60 peppers, and is quite the journey to care for them on a little place we have about 15 minutes from where I live. So good luck

Hello! We simply washed them up, cut them to fit into freezer bags and are freezing them to utilize for making stock throughout the year. We've never had quite this much so we will see how it works out but I can't imagine it not working for stock or soup making. Hope that helps!

Great video and just wondering what do you fertilize your garlic with?
We typically use a kelp meal mix but I would say any balances organic fertilizer would work
