I get a lot of repo’d tools from my dealer or offer up and stuff. I get my snap on cheap. I always tell people “use what you like and what’s in your budget”. I want to keep it real on this channel
Cool. I use an m12 screwdriver on low torque bolts and it really works great. The slow speed, low power, and clutch make it super accurate. I've checked smaller bolts torqued with the tool with a hand ratchet and the consistency is impressive.
Nice. My coworker has the M12 and he loves it. I used it before I got my snap on one. I considered buying one but then I’d have to buy the gun, charger and battery and I already have chargers and battery for snap on and I got my snap on driver for 175 so I just bought it but I do like the M12
I agree with most of your picks. I have a Mac 1/4 impact wrench. I also have a 1/4 and 3/8 cordless ratchet. I use a lot of 1/4 stuff when working on cars as I worked on a lot of aero and moto stuff prior
@@BustedKnucklesGarage1 it’s good I have always used dewalt tools so I have to say they are great. Snap on makes some good stuff tool but I’m just a sbd fan
@Scouters Games that’s good to hear. That’s the great thing about tools; there are so many brands and everyone likes their own stuff. I’ve wanted to try some Mac tools but we don’t have dealers here in my state. So I’ve ordered their pry bars because I really like them. I’ve also ordered their RBRT hex sockets and a wobble 1/2 to try out and so far I really enjoy it
@@BustedKnucklesGarage1 yea I have a lot of there stuff them and snap on are the only tool truck tools I buy personally as I have had a bad experience with matco with both hand tools and power.
I clean them with 2 different wipes. But my favorite one is called grip clean. They are the best tool wipes ever. I wipe them down with the grip clean wipes and then wipe them off with a blue paper towel @calebreuber
The 12-14 is great for the fan clutch bolts, some transmission housing bolts, some water pump bolts if you are limited on your ratchets and socket sets . A couple other things that’s just what came into my head now
@@BustedKnucklesGarage1 thanks! I’m about to pick up a gx460 and wanted to get some things in order. I’ve had a ‘04 runner v8 and ‘14 4Runner so I’ve accumulated a lot of snap on metrics. Keep up the great videos, I def enjoyed them.
Sweet! You got good 4 runners. I’m glad you enjoy the videos. I’ll be posting more! I love snap on for so many reasons. It doesn’t work for everyone and people may not agree with snap on and their prices but I love them
@@BustedKnucklesGarage1 oh man tell me about it, I’m not even a mechanic by trade, more like home mechanic since I was a teen 30 years ago. Ive got prybars, breaker bars, 1/2” short & long impact sockets 8-24mm barely any skips, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches 6-24mm (did rear shocks on my ram 1500), one E18mm for a brake job I did on my x5 - ALL SNAP-ON 🤦🏻♂️. About to replace my old 64mm oil filter tool with that blue point one you have. The toy640 one got stuck a lot of times! The truth is, I just don’t trust people touching my car.
Most important tool for flagging hours is the brain 🧠.
Yes sir I 100% agree with you
"it doesn't have to be snap-on"
realest snap-on user on this platform

@@BustedKnucklesGarage1 Good call staying on one battery platform.
Love these videos man keep it up UA-cam needs a dialed in Toyota tech!
I don’t use air tools lol just the blow gun
1/4 deep universal from snap on lives on my impact
Aswell as the 1/4 8/10mm flip socket are a must
Good tools to have super handy

How do you like your Mac electric tools?
I’m a huge fan of 1/4 inch stuff. Once I started using it I couldn’t get away from it lol

Yeah I get it. I’m not a fan of Matco at all
Very well made video bro!
I appreciate it! @darwindropmazda
Was the torque wrench you use a 3/8" or 1/4"?
A 3/8. I haven’t bought a 1/4 in yet. I so far haven’t had the reason to buy one
awesome! i just got the same 3/8 impact and ratchet!
You are gonna enjoy them. I think they are such great quality tools
Nice set up 👍, good advice.
Thank you. Appreciate it!

What else is that 12-14 wrench useful for? I’m definitely getting the 14-17 wrench…thx!

Yeah I understand. I’ve definitely seen my fair share of bad techs that don’t take pride. There will always be those bad apples
I need 0 degree box wrenches, hard to find the style i want
Definitely don’t need those to clock good hours lol
