So random
Has Watchmojo made a Top 10 Golden Gate Bridge Destruction Scenes list yet? Because I actually want to see that.
That's actually a good idea
Manuel Rodriguez g14 should be there
Pacific Rim, Godzilla 2014, San Andreas, Mars Attacks, The Day After Tomorrow, Terminator Genesis, 2012, The Core, X-Men III, Aliens vs Monsters, etc...
It would be cool if they did. WatchMojo says they publish new videos every day. So maybe...
So true

Why do I feel like you are biased? I think that the Eiffel Tower collapsing is more epic then the White House blowing up. (Also do a top 10 on your hacker situation)
Everytime "The day after tomorrow" is brought up I have to think of that South Park episode. "WE DIDN'T LISTEN"
"STAN.........."
Did you hear about Trey and Matt's puppet recreation of Day After Tomorrow?
that guy who trips over while running away from global warming.
Tate Hildyard No. I guess I just DIDN'T LISTEN!
hilarious scene
"Sometimes it's fun to watch iconic things go boom"
Accepted 9/11
"They like to take the landmarks." - David Levinson, Independence Day: Resurgence
big Ben is the bell not the tower
What you say yeah we know
You guys missed all of the cloudy with a chance of meatballs ones XD
When I first saw Independence Day, I knew even as a little kid that when he said “Time’s Up”, some bad stuff is going to happen. The scene is still one of my favorites to this day.
The Golden Gate bridge has been destroyed in so many movies that I would find it surprising when I goto San Fransisco and still find it intact....
the drowning of lady liberty was okay but when she was decapitated on Cloverfield was better
It was a cool shot, with the half drowned statue and in the background you see NYC that’s about to get hit by the wave
"Bay really knows how to destroy things" . Indeed, he destroyed the Franchise so well.
I clicked on the video only to see the Independence Day White House get blown up.
Are there enough Statue of Liberty destruction scenes for that to have a Top 10 list of its own?
And the Golden Gate Bridge
Good point. Those two deserve their own lists, I think.
Nice vid as always watch mojo :)
You have no idea how happy it makes me to see GI Joe Rise of Cobra on this list

6:23 “that bus just got dropped on that Porsche, I hope nobody was inside” that one guy watching’s bud’s phone disconnects
Number 4 is my fav the way it gets destroyed is just amazing.
I'd love to see the Independence Day laser fired at a space-based target. It's like those ship were designed specifically for city-busting, containing and channelling the superheated blast wave along the ground to stop upwards dissipation.
6:02 - Now I know I haven't seen it in a few years, but I'm pretty sure the Statue of Liberty doesn't actually get destroyed in TDAT.
You are correct. In the special features of the movie director Roland Emmerich actually states that he did not want to knock down the statue of liberty even though he knew in reality the weight of the water would have destroyed it.
But it did get decapitated in cloverfield
Lord Motorsports, I heard that too. He was making it not long after 9/11 and he just couldn't destroy another NYC landmark so soon after losing WTC.
I Totally agree with this list, I mean the Independence Day poster with the White House being destroyed still hangs in my living room.
The giant robot destroying the great pyramid is devastator, a combiner with weirdly looking components. We’re looking at you scavenger, rampage, and Hightower, and overload, and skipjack
Sometimes it’s fun to watch iconic things go *boom* “

The V For Vendetta final scene was hilarious. I wish I could see it being done to the White House.

There needs to be a list of how many times famous landmarks were destroyed in movies. Who would come out on top? Stature of Liberty? Golden Gate Bridge? White house? Mt. Rushmore? Tokyo Tower? Big Ben? Opera hall in Sydney? Eiffel Tower? The Pyramids? the Empire State Building?
It looks cool when a famous landmark is destroyed meanwhile 1812 overtune plays
Say whatever you want about the Devastatior scene in ROTF, but I thought Simmons's line was HILARIOUS.
One of my favorites, and also one that takes place where I live - in the movie "10.5" where a massive earthquakes collapses our famous Space Needle.
I think that's the only movie ever made that features the Space Needle getting destroyed despite being a famous landmark of the West Coast like the Golden Gate Bridge and the Hollywood Sign.
@@Meesmoth well I see the movie 10.5 movies but it's is true that earthquakes hit the Seattle area and that's is year ago!!
Please do the video game version of this
If you haven´t destroyed the Golden Gate bridge at least once, you are not a true movie director

The Statue of Liberty in Planet of the Apes. (Even though it isn't seem being demolished, it puts an amazing twist on the movie to see its head apart from the body and on the ground)

The last one is satisfying
“We’re only including landmarks not locations”
* Includes Las Vegas strip *
I LOVE THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!
The brief vaporization of the Sydney opera house
In X-Men Apocalypse
Yes. But they couldn't get enough footage of that movie since it's all new. Though yea I do agree with you on that one... It'll probably be used in another top 10 movie landmark destructions.
My list is like this:1. White House (Independence Day) 2. Golden Gate Bridge (San Andreas) 3. Palace of Westminster (V for Vendetta) 4. Sydney Opera House (Godzilla: Final Wars)5. Hollywood sign (The Day After Tomorrow)6. Eiffel Tower (G I Joe: The Rise of Cobra)7. Grand Central Terminal (Armageddon)8. Empire State Building (Independence Day)9. V for Vendetta was a brilliant movie
6:46 I've got to save her, Lady Liberty was a gift from our ally France!
3:42
Why does it always gotta be the golden gate Bridge, leave the poor bridge alone
The Statue of Liberty wasn't destroyed on "Independence Day". It was still standing after the city froze. Bit ironic since they kept on showing "Cloverfield". Although the statue was destroyed by a giant tsunami in the movie "Armageddon".
The Panama Canal scene, is the best destruction scene in Team America World Police!
Well, St. Peters Basilica was an honorable mention
What about the Golden Gate Bridge melting in The Core?
You could have done a Top Ten places Godzilla destroys, since he (or she) been almost everywhere and destroyed almost everything, especially Tokyo!
Did you not forged godzilla destroying the golden gate bridge in 2014.
and apes and pacific rim and about every other movie apart from ant man that has San Francisco in it
My favorite was the part on "2012" where Los Angeles goes down
In the comic V actually blows up the parlament at the begining...
U didn't mention London has fallen or Olympus has fallen those were good ones
All the insurance agents are rubbing their hands with glee $$
the Golden Gate Bridge in Godzilla(2014).
do top ten dc movies
Only now I realize how many times a tsunami decimated NY in movies lol
Michael Bay be like "needs more explosions"
Ok the White House destruction is the most famous of the ID4 destruction scenes but in my opinion the Empire State building is the better one. The way it rolls down in stages increasing in intensity and starts spreading when it hits the ground. Compared to the White House where the laser exploses only on the inside and the "booster shot" triggers the big spreading explosion. Both great scenes its just that the ESB one is just more aestheticly pleasing.
I adore the falling sound of the Eiffel tower
what about every collapse in Life After People? (movie and TV show
I wonder how many times the Golden Gate Bridge has been destroyed
Do top 10 explosions in Michael bay or Roland emmerich Movies next.
I don't remember the destruction of a bridge in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
