The Rikon 12" Table Top Disk Sander is no lightweight. At 72 lbs. you can be sure that it'll be rock steady when sanding wood, metal, and even plastic. It features a 12" disc that operates at 1,720 RPM for fast and efficient sanding. We've got this sander set up in our shop and particularly love its heavy-duty cast iron frame and powerful 1/2-horsepower motor. It's very smooth and has plenty of power. The large cast iron table measures 17-1/8" x 6-1/2" and supports your workpiece in any position. Automatic ball-bearing detents occur at 0, 22.5, and 45 degrees in either direction, and the table easily moves and locks into place with a table lock knob. You can clamp this disc sander to your workbench in a temporary position or use the mounting holes to secure it more permanently. Comes with a heavy-duty miter gauge that helps stabilize your work when sanding the end surface of smaller pieces. Insert the key to enable the on/off switch and remove it when you're done to prevent accidental or unauthorized use. The disc on this machine is designed with fan fins to help draw dust away from the work area and out the dust port, ensuring cleaner sanding. Attach your dust collector to its 2-1/2" O.D. connector for maximum dust removal.

hi, i am not sure if this is sold in UK, i need a disc sander so powerful that can deal with metal, wood , plastic easily? it should chip away or eat the metal or wood with great ease? i bought one recently and such a bad RPM and power, it was waste of time , thanks much appreciated, if you can recommend one
