I don't want to buy Raycant's and because the sponsor kinda ruins the video, and it's kinda boring, and generic.
@@cian.oThis version of Winnie The Pooh definitely sounds just like Former President Donald Trump Sr. Or King of Cons aka Satan in Human form. Not that I believe in Religion but with how many lies and crimes that He has gotten away with He might as well be Satan.
When you review cool world?
A interesting thing about the Winnie the Pooh property is that even though it's now public domain, Disney's version isn't. That's primarily why when others try to use the property, they avoid using Pooh's iconic red shirt (unless I'm mistaken)
Yep, book Pooh is naked.
From cheap looking ripoffs. To miserably bad Slasher movie Winnie the Pooh is being dragged through the mud.
@@bearerofbadnews1375 Eh, the slasher wasn't even that bad - a cheapo one, but not horrible.
This show though. UGH.
@@bearerofbadnews1375almost makes me wish it never entered the public domain
I'm afraid you are. Decker Shado did a review of Blood and Honey, and he mentions this. I even Googled to double check. Winnie the Pooh got his iconic red shirt in 1932, which means that him wearing it doesn't hit public domain until 2027 or 28 (95 years after publication). On a side note, this means that this year or next, Tigger will become public domain (as he was created in 1928).
This Winnie The Pooh ripoff looks like the random kid animation that you would catch your younger sibling watching on their phone.
Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhh.
And blood and honey felt like a robot chicken sketch stretched out to a film length.
Yeah it does, but looks worse
The movie is worse it’s so slow I don’t think kids will like it saber wanted to end the movie it wasn’t 20 minutes yet and saber was tired of it

@nisa Can't wait! Disney deserves it, kinda...
It is so frustrating because horror (sorry, and parody/retelling, need to add this in!) versions of things like this CAN be done well. We've seen it with Alice the Madness returns for alice in wonderland. But the material needs to be taken seriously and not treated like some big joke for a bad slasher or whatever the hells this is. This is why I hate piss poor horror like this, because it means future works that may be good will never be taken seriously, or never bother to even be made.

Dude I've been having hardcore alice brainrot for a month now, seeing this kinda slept on franchise mentioned in a Saberspark comment was like a jumpscare
This version isn't trying to be horror at all, it's just a really bad, cheap version of the story.
We’ll see since blood and honey is getting a sequel. Also horror movies about Bambi and Peter Pan are also being planned out.
@@Lexivor True! Fixed my comment to reflect that, very good point.
That bear's face is definitely my 3AM nightmare. He definitely breathes heavily when he sees any child.
Why does he have red lips??
@@boginoidbecause of the blood

The reason he doesn't have a shirt is because specifically the character as presented in the books is public domain, but the red shirt depiction is still Disney.
"Red shirt on the bear, artists beware. If nude he be, your pooh is free"
Now that Pooh is public domain, this is going to become more common
Cant wait for Mickey to become public domain
@@DMDadventuresThen we will see a lot of mice/rat look-alike of Mickey, either as parody or badly written "mockbuster"
@@DMDadventures One of the major reasons US copyright law is as long lasting as it is before things enter the public domain is specifically because the Disney Company kept lobbying and pushing for copyright to be extended. Through their efforts they added an extra 20ish years to all copyrights. It's possible that they could, and probably will, do the same to keep their mouse under their control.
@@attaug they have been doing this for 95 years, it will eventually lose all copyright
@@attaugThey can not and have not made any more pushes to extend copyright. It's a pointless effort, the PR backlash would be palapable and the writing is on the wall that all the lobbying in the world won't get it extended. Instead Disney's been actively using the older designs of it's character from their cartoons so they can claim ownership of trademark. Like sure Steamboat Willy is in the public domain, but Micky Mouse's design from it is trademarked.

Okay... maybe we gave Disney too much flack for keeping Winnie The Pooh out of the public domain. After Blood and Honey, Winnie's Honey Hole and... THIS, we clearly weren't ready for him to enter the public domain.
It's the result of what the internet has truly become all those years. The plants for stuff like these alongside that R-rated Christopher Robin series were seeded by absolute weirdos of the late 2000s-early 2010s internet. Heck, I'd even say the results from Pooh's Adventures are going to be next.
@@ExtremeWreckThe 2000s dark and gritty reboot/adaptation continue to annoy us to this day

However if you want to enjoy an alternative version that's not Disney I recommend the (I'm pretty sure it's Russian?) Version called Vinnie Pooh. It's super cute and the animation is fun and it's just a delightful retelling of if the stories. Last I checked there was at least a couple episodes on UA-cam
The thought that entered my brain when I read the title was 'Vinnie Pooh':

...it's that wink... 😉
I think the thing with Christopher Robin's clothes (and the father's) is that they're just material zones on blank generic character models that have been textured with cloth textures. That's why they look so weird, and you get things like a bellybutton showing through what's meant to be a shirt. Also Christopher Robin's model looks more like a teen character than a kid?
As pointed out, both those models look completely wrong for Winnie The Pooh, but that's a problem universal to everything in this. I cannot get over how sinister and creepy Winnie is here - even when his eyes aren't glitching, he always has this evil look on his face. This results in every line he says feeling like it's loaded with some secret terrible meaning, or apparently leading up to something awful that never actually comes (unless, of course, you count the movie itself).
And when coupled with the bad attempt at copying Disney's version of the voice (which I would have thought would be one aspect still under copyright?)... *shudder*
I find their attempt at Pooh's voice curious, also. It sounds more like Mr. Rogers' Lady Elaine swallowing a microphone while sitting in a corner for a time-out.
I hope creators that want to adapt Winnie the Pooh in the future do so with sincerity and genuine love for the story and not for a cheap cash grab. I feel like if someone had real care for the source it might actually come out decent.

I'm honestly kinda surprised by how many off-brand productions were made in the short time since the original Winnie The Pooh book entered the public domain...
Then again, that time-table gets a lot smaller when you don't deal with difficult things like character models... or props and/or backgrounds... or voice actors... or writers.
Fuck, the bootlegging industry must be loving OpenAI.
I imagine certain ideas were stewing for awhile from people who knew it would be entering public domain soon, and were ready to go for it. Something like that horror movie for example, which looked to have a lot more creativity and thought put into it (although I haven't actually seen it since I don't watch horror films, but I was intrigued by the trailer), may have been sitting on for years prior. Heck, these kinds of things could even start off as fan fictions, or the like. Then when it's legal to make money of those ideas that people wrote for themselves back in school, they go for it with no regard for the actual quality of what they have, because half the work is already done.
@@gurvmlk Exactly. The seeds were already planted on the internet years & even decades ago.
I'm curious if after a few years we will see actually good versions and usage of the public domain version of Winnie the pooh. I'd love to see someone make a stop motion film kind of like del toro did for Pinocchio.
I'd love to see someone do a traditional hand drawn original movie or even just 40 minute special or something, using E H Shepard's original illustrations for the look of it. Just ignore everything Disney have done and go back to the source.
Stop motion would be perfect, because y'know, everyone is supposed to be stuffed animals amirite! I hope someone is inspired by your comment.
2:20 It's from the book. Pooh rolls in mud to disguise as a black cloud, so that bees won't sting him.

Oh fu-
Some scenes brought back memories of the Soviet version of Winnie the Pooh: he looked like a brown bear there. The mud scene is from there too
Piglet: Why did you go into the mud?
Winnie: I'll fly up to the hive with the help of your balloon, so I need to disguise myself as a rain cloud. The rain clouds are black.
Pigglet: Sounds legit!
Yeah, it was a strange adaptation, but it was much better than what people are planning to do now

No, the mud scene is just part of the original story. It's in Disney's cartoon adaptation too.

@@ochumela_ot_vasI've seen the Soviet adaptation and it sucks, and I added it in my comics for reasons

the thing that gets me about the painted on clothes is how easy it would be to just remove the belly button with the smooth brush. Literally just as simple as painting on the clothes.
The shade of purple that they used for the Halloween story was nice. It is a shame that it was used for this atrocity of a mock-buster.
The lens flare with the camera looking up at Pooh from a low height could be cool looking if the models and voice acting weren’t terrible.

"And it is that word 'hummy,' my darlings, that marks the first place in 'The House at Pooh Corner' at which Tonstant Weader Fwowed up."

And a Milne book did that to her. If she were alive to see this movie, it would kill her.
I suddenly have a lot more respect for the version of Winnie the Pooh that aired as part of the Shirley Temple show.
Disney still owns their version of Winnie the Pooh and always will as long as the trademark exists. Trademark doesn't expire like Copyright does.
Copyright is for individual works like books, movies, etc. Trademark is for a character and franchise as a whole.
Felix the Cat is long in the public domain but its still under trademark from DreamWorks who still make merch for him.
This doesn't even look animated. This looks like someone recorded themselves walking about in VR chat. It would make sense for it to be the case since buying a couple (or one, depending on how cheap they are) VR kits is not as expensive as even a single animator's yearly salary.
Pooh jumping in the mud and then floating up to a bee hive is a recreation of the scene from I believe it was the first pooh movie, he's pretending to be a "little black rain cloud" to steal honey from the bees. It's definitely overdone for sure, but it's still accurate to the original. Yall really don't remember that?

The reason why he doesn't have a shirt, is because the original Winnie-the-Pooh did not have a shirt. The red shirt version is Disney's version. The original version with no shirt is now public domain, but the red shirt version is still owned by Disney.

For a second I thought Christopher Robin’s dad was naked from the waist down and I did a double take. Maybe I’m just blind, but the lighting makes his pants look very similar to his skin color.
This Winnie-the-Pooh "movie" looks like a lovechild of Dingo Pictures and Wow Now which even they tried to kill with fire right after its birth, but failed to.
This movie makes me appreciate the live-action Christopher Robin movie so much more
I always liked reading the books, they have their own personality, and for me, seem so colorful and whimsical.
Why couldn't Studio Ghibli or Studio Ponoc do their own adaptations of the Pooh stories? They would have been far superior to this turd. This is officially the worst Winnie the Pooh thing I've ever seen; yes it's word-for-word of the original books, but that's no excuse whatsoever!!
And Eeyore wasn't a horse; he was a freaking donkey (funnily enough also, in the books he actually wasn't depressed, he was basically a grumpy old ass [pun intended] who was intelligent, probably the smartest of the group as donkeys are highly intelligent, but he was also egotistical, and considered himself smarter than the rest, one of his lines to Christopher Robin went like "They haven't got Brains in their heads, these Animals [Pooh and the others] just gray pieces of fluff").
never in my life have I seen grass that look like something out of a certain RPG game.

I find it funny that they might've been trying to separate themselves visually from the Disney Winnie the Pooh but they still tried to imitate his voice to some extent. Is this any better than the horror-centric schlock that they've been trying to tie to Winnie in recent times? I have no idea.

To be fair, the version of Pooh with a shirt is still under copyright. Thats why this and Blood and Honey don't have Pooh wearing his signature shirt and why Tigger is still safe from these bastardisations of the works of A. A. Milne for the next few years.
The more Winnie the Pooh is in the public domain, the more I feel my childhood show is disrespected!
Also, your girlfriend's fursona has got to be one of the cutest ones I've seen in a while!
Why does Pooh look and act so fruity. This is so wrong in every way, I hate it
I know that My Friends: Tigger and Pooh was meant to be a detective series. But I've been developing my own detective book series set within the Hundred Acre Woods called "The Hundred Acre Mysteries" (keeping in mind that I can only use pre-established characters from the earlier books for now, like Piglet, Christopher Robin, Kanga, Roo and Eeyore. So, I'll be filling in the missing spots with a brand new fox character named Permiscrea and her weasel companion Dodge. :)
The books are made within the public domain and are nonprofit fanfictions made for fans of the original books. It will not include Darcy or Buster as they're owned under Disney. I'm going for a PG13 Film Noir theme.
Anywho, this adaption looks like something straight out of a living nightmare. Christopher Robin dresses like he's a Gen Z influencer. Lmao
"Taking something as sacred as winnie the pooh and bastardizing it." I mean, at least it wasn't Disney doing it to their own properties this time.
Just when I thought, they couldn't botch my childhood any further I am so proven wrong. Even though it's faithful to the book and although it's not as painful as Blood and Honey, it makes Playdate with Winnie the Pooh more decent in comparison! Part of me is glad that Tigger isn't in any of these projects and he's my favorite character.
I'm now scared of doing my WTP insta comic series. So my take on WTP is going to be heavy based on the two books from A. A Milne, with some elements inspired by the four featurettes, Welcome to Pooh Corner, Piglet's Big Movie, The Book of Pooh and Christopher Robin (2018)
I wanted to make my version more modern and character driven by exploring the character's personalities and mental disorders, but at the same time, keeping it true to the source material.
For example, the characters will be British as WTP did originally took place in the UK and The Hundred Arce Wood will take place in Ashdown Forest where it was based on. I've made Eeyore an emo as well as making him more sarcastic and I've gender swapped both Rabbit and Piglet so that Kanga won't be the only female character as well as digging deeper to Piglet's relationship with Pooh. And even though they weren't in the book I've decided to include Gopher and Kessie as two of Rabbit's Friends and Relations as well as Lumpy being the heffalump that Christopher Robin and Tigger saw. I've even made Rabbit somewhat of an antagonist, similar to Mr. Curry from Paddington, as well as having a closer bond with her brother, Robert. (Who was in Welcome to Pooh Corner). I also included Tigger early in the series, as I always see him as the second main character of the franchise and he always steals the spotlight half the time. But with my take on Tigger, he's still bouncy and energetic, but he's more of an loner and doesn't feel like he's fit in due to the way others treat him, I also gave him bipolar as well as ADHD. Unlike most Pooh content, most of the characters will have an ongoing arc throughout the series, which would make the stories all the more meaningful.
I feel if Andy Serkis can do his own take off the Jungle Book and if Guillermo del Toro can do his own take on Pinocchio, then why can't I do the same with Winnie the Pooh?
To be clear: play date with Pooh bear is the Disney junior thing right?
@@gracekim25 Yeah. Think Spidey and His Amazing Friends and Thomas and Friends: All Engines Go, but with Winnie the Pooh, as they age the characters down to kids.
