Learning by watching someone actually applying what they're describing in a real world scenario is way easier for me. Thank you so much for this video.
You're a huge inspiration, thank you so much for sharing all this amazing content. I wouldn't have done nearly as much progress without your help. I hope you know how much of an impact you're having on people trying to learn all this.
I've been reading a lot of exceptionally positive comments coming through in the last few weeks since I started uploading more regularly. I want you to know that I read all of them, and that they're all really heartening. I'm excited to be making my game and I care a lot about turning development into a career, but being able to help guide people through their own journey is an equally rewarding thing to be responsible for, right now. I'm honoured, and I wish you the best of luck in your projects :)
i an from brasiliam but, you helped me so much in pixel art, i an a game developer but in 2018 i was bad in pixel art, making things witch no perception, but you helped me 50x more than i making pixel art alone, please continue, you are helping very pixel artists!
Breathtaking… the process is so good. From beginning with the simpler shapes to end. And actually, as soon as the head and a hand were doing a cycle it was already looking like a smooth running motion. Insane craft skills.
It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who sometimes struggles with getting the animation right the first time. I've learned a lot from your videos by the way thank you for making them😊
I am just learning pixel art to make my own games and animating is a sure struggle. But these videos you have made are amazing in helping me understand things and making things look better, The first on in this animation set was really helpful. I would have never thought of doing what you did to come up with the run animation. Than you!!
Wow. You do great art. You create great tutorials. You speak clearly, and not too fast. Your animation basics are strong AF. You use Aseprite. I'm a pro myself (though not in pixelart) but I learn in every minute of your videos! Thanks man! I'm so happy too that I found your channel. Finally a no BS pro pixelart place. The few things what could make this better is if: - the link banner wouldn't cover the frames - you would sometimes zoom the animation to as big as possible and let it roll for like 10 repeats. I totally check your videos frame by frame haha - ooor even better - I'd love if you could share the aseprite files of your blob-skeleton state animations. I know some people would just steal it but I'd only steal the knowledge from it :D (you could put it up to gumroad for a few bucks... for real)
Hey! Thanks for your feedback. Ahhh yeah, I'm aware of the chat box getting in the way of the frames a bit. I can dismiss them on stream to show the full app, but sometimes I forget, sorry! I'll do my best to not have that happen. R.e. letting the animation loop. I think that's a good idea, sometimes I try to do that but maybe I could let it roll longer. I don't really know intuitively how quickly to run through the content as I'm editing it, so I may be guilty of over-cutting here and there. As far as distributing assets, I think that's a great idea. I think I could make that happen at some point. Maybe in future I'll keep that option open as I'm working and save a separate WIP file. I could see that being really valuable. Thanks again!
@@AdamCYounis Thanks for the answer! Yes it would be very useful. Your flats already convey a great 3D feel I haven't seen elsewhere. I love them! And you don't save them? What a waste of potential! :)
Hey AdamCYounis! I've been loving your tutorials! Would you ever be willing to do a tutorial completely devoted to how to make hair to behin with? I just can't seem to figure out how to do the shading properly!
I really loved this tutorial. But I must admit that I kept thinking about Zombies with inpenetrable hockey masks during most of the videos, curtesy of that one comment in your livechat. xD
I just tested your game, I'm super sold, will you release on Steam? Looking forward to it. I'm super addicted to this type of graphics and animation, that's why I was browsing this type of content in the first place, I wish I had 10% of your talent, keep it up!
Interesting. i'm drawing with very limited palletes but i think i must try to use your way for animations with recolored bones (i'm used it before but without some selfshading, i think with it i can increase quality a little).
You definitely make it seem too easy. Like, you drew some circles and shapes and then shade here and there and you got a nice little image. How do you do that? XD
This might have been asked many times now but I'll ask anyway. Some of you guys might know just answer if you want to. What application or program are you using making this pixel art and animation? Thanks a lot guys! ^ ^
Why you can't just animate and write frame by frame the base drawing of character? Without drawing it while running as a new one.... 50 mins spent only on creating running animation. I thought it's like 5-10 minutes to create each animation in this program. As for now after looking at your job, i think the process is too boring for me. Of course you're a professional with nerves made of metal, but i have no patience for such a thing :D
This was the worst tutorial with the best result, why the worst? Let's say you want to follow along, well because of those jumpy cuts it's rather frustrating, why? because after the cut he mostly changes stuff and you not only have to pause the video to catch up but you must actively look for what was changed as well

I can't agree more. In fact, it solved a lot of my problems.

Since I found your channel, last week, it’s still one of my favorite channels, keep it up.
You are amazing , I started drawing pixel art characters 1 week ago and my draws became more and better after I watched your videos.
Breathtaking… the process is so good. From beginning with the simpler shapes to end.

You have completely changed the way i view movement in art and animation with this video
It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who sometimes struggles with getting the animation right the first time. I've learned a lot from your videos by the way thank you for making them😊
Absolutely stunning. From a pile of pixels you´ve pulled off a moving character that looks absolutely believable. Amazing
These two were the most amazing videos in the series so far.
Breathing life in this creative journey. Thank you for such inspiring creators with your series.
I never thought to animate limb by limb makes so much sense now
This will help me a lot. That's a new way of thinking. I just crop the sprite and paste around to make an animation. :D
I don't quite understand why, but the way he act when he gets to name a layer "GUN" just... Makes me feel good.

Maaaan your animation workflow is so dope. I learn so much from your videos. Looking forward to your game too.
Oh my God I had no idea about the shading brush. That is life changing.
This is amazing I can't even begin to describe, thank you so so much
You're a wizard!
Love the bouncy hair 😁

This is insanely good.

Thank you so much, Adam! I feel like I can actually animate something now!
Damn...thanks for sharing!!!
Looking great man! Keep it up 👊🔥
U r so great at pixel art😄
Regarding which hand for the gun: wouldn’t you need both for when she faces the opposite direction?

That like ratio is INSANE, but well deserved :)
Pls more videos like these❤️
Hey! Just want to say thank you for the hint with shader brush! I've been wondering how you do it for a long time. Thanks!
Happy to help! It's easily one of Aseprite's best features.
that is a lot of work
❤️❤️❤️
I get to name this layer... G U N
What is this program!? Can I use it to create my RPG sprites. That preview window has me sold!
Aseprite, hope you found it already :)
I have to do this 5 times for my game :(
only for one character
does photoshop have the brush?
So that's how you do it...
Yuhhh!
What’s this program called ?
What software is that at 0:55?
This might have been asked many times now but I'll ask anyway. Some of you guys might know just answer if you want to. What application or program are you using making this pixel art and animation? Thanks a lot guys! ^ ^

Aseprite, it is a fantastic bit of software.
Y lo hace ver fácil.
