Hey guys! In today's video we are battling two very popular products, the Bioderma Makeup Removing Micellar Solution and the Simple Cleansing Micellar Water. These are two highly talked about products here on UA-cam and I thought I would share my opinion on them and whether or not I truly think the Simple is a dupe for Bioderma! I want to do more product comparison/battle videos in the future so let me know if there are any comparable products you've been wondering about. Thanks for watching!

Good video! I've been wondering about this
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful :)
This review was really helpful. Thank you
Great job! Very informative.
Patti Hanson Thanks! :)
Good to know! I've never tried the simple one but I love bioderma!
Bioderma is still my favourite but I still think Simple is worth trying!
It's my favourite too!
You helped me SOOO much!!
Yay! Thanks for always commenting & watching
Great video!
Kellie Beth Thanks for watching :)

This was very informative,Thanks!! :)
+kalisha jones Thanks for watching! ♡
My jaw dropped. As a specialized trainer in this industry this review is super informative and just perfectly done. She's like one of my colleagues! Applause ...
+TheLilaSky Thank you so much! :)
Thanks, that was very informative :) I'm from France and these Bioderma micellar water are like 15€ for 2 bottles which is about $20, I'm surprise how expensive those are in other countries.
I've tried L'Oréal micellar water and it burned my skin and doesnt remove much of my makeup, I was really disappointed, but it might work differently on other people^^"
Does simple micelar water remove water resistant sunscreen
I haven't tried the Bioderma, but I have Caudalie & Simple micellar waters presently & I noticed that I need to use more of the Simple than the Caudalie when removing face makeup, but unlike the Bioderma the Caudalie is much more pricey. Next up will be the Bioderma. Thanks for the price break down & the science of it.
Jules of Wisdom That's interesting because I've had the Caudalie as well and I found it did nothing to remove my makeup! It was nice as a quick cleanse option in the morning but it just did not cut it for removing eye makeup & foundation. I hope you love Bioderma & no problem :)
Very informative.
Pravalika M Thank you!!
I just heard about the simple and want to try it but I may also consider the Bioderma now also.
laqueen86 They're both great :)
I find simple products burn my skin & break me out terribly! Bioderma is excellent but so pricey! Garnier micellar water is my holy grail & I repurchase regularly...ponds is also a great cream make up remover that doesn't break me out & I really struggle with my skin also! Love your videos by the way :)
Good job! FYI Garnier makes a Micella water for waterproof makeup. I thought i'd share it. I think its fairly new
I've heard of that one but I'm pretty sure it's only available in the UK/Europe, I haven't heard of anyone spotting it in North America unfortunately! I really want to try it!
SariReanna i got it at shoppers drug mart in ontario
+prettylittle liar Micelle solutions are all supposed to be able to remove waterproof makeup
I have the nivea micellar water and it's so good and remove my makeup really quickly and gently ! Never tried any of those two products because they're more expensive I think ! If you tried the nivea one, I'm curious to know your opinion :) !
pinceaune I've been on the hunt for that but I haven't seen it anywere here yet! I'm going to keep an eye out for it though definitely, I love Nivea :)
+pinceaune They're all roughly the same per ounce. Nivea comes in a smaller bottle, so you'll have to but more..
TRY THE NEW GARNIER MICELLAR WATER. super cheap and doesn't sting eyes even water proof version
Yeah I felt like I had to use A LOT of Simple water. It does take off the face makeup. Didn't really think of the price like that. Thanks!
No problem! I think most people wouldn't consider the size of the product and just immediately assume Simple is a way better deal so I really wanted to include that.
Yup I assumed it would be cheaper. haha
I've used the Loreal and the Nivea miscellar water and they remove makeup great. Much cheaper than bioderma and don't sting either
+Dee Manfre I'll have to check them out!
Ohhh cool! Glad it works! I'm in The US so its hard for me to find Bioderma!
Yeah that's what I've always heard! I honestly didn't even know it was so easy to find here until about a year ago lol it's cool that Beautylish is carrying it now though!
Yeah! I didn't even know that they carried it! I've never checked that website out either! Glad the Micellar water is starting to catch on here!
+SariReanna I haven't been able to find Bioderma here in U.S. either. It's only on Amazon. But I have been using Simple for awhile and even that one is a little hard to find for me sometimes. I really appreciate your review on the two.
Solei V Check the link in my descrption bar! A US site called Beautylish carries Bioderma now :)
SariReanna Yes I noticed it afterwards. Thank you so much :)
I haven't tried the original Bioderma but I do have the one that is for oily skin. It does a pretty good job at taking everything off. It doesn't take off my Benefit Roller Lash & They're Real mascaras though.
But something that I tried last night that worked really really well is coconut oil. I had heard that it does an amazing job at taking off all makeup. So after using my eyemakeup remover, I rubbed some coconut oil all over my face, and I was amazed at how the makeup just melted away. It also removed the remaining eyeliner that was stuck in my lash line! But of course oil and water do not mix, so I used a little of my Cetaphil cleanser to wash away the oil left on my face. I will say this, it did an excellent job removing ALL of my makeup, and my skin felt amazingly soft after! I'm not sure how this works in terms of clogging your pores, so if anyone knows feel free to fill me in :)
Kelly Turner Does the other Bioderma sting your eyes at all? That's what I'm always afraid of. I've always heard great things about coconut oil but I don't really want to use it on my face because while it works well for most people it's actually really high on the comedogenic scale, meaning it can clogs your pores & lead to breakouts.
No it doesn't burn at all. It just didn't remove my mascara or eyeliner. Ah, ok, nice to know. I'll keep that in mind. There was a girl that works in Ulta about a month ago that originally told me about the coconut oil. She said that it is all she uses every day to remove her makeup. She also said she uses it in her hair quite often but for the life of me I cannot remember what the reason was. Oh well, I'll just use it once in a while and hopefully avoid any skin issues.
The Cetaphil has done wonders for my skin however. I've been using it for roughly 2 1/2 months now, and my breakouts have almost become non existent!! Also I have noticed that I am nowhere near as oily as I used to be. I would almost consider my skin normal now. But that may change since summer weather is upon us haha
I hope that it continues to do such a great job. Usually when I find something that works great like this, after about 3-4 months my skin gets adjusted to it and goes back to the way it was, which sucks because I never feel like I've found my holy grail skin care.
**Update**
So, user error, kinda, in a way, is why I couldn't get it to take off my liner and mascara lol. I was using the little thin very fuzzy cotton squares, and when I did, my lashes would meld together and just become a mess. But I switched to using the thicker premium cotton squares that are stitched around the edges and kind of look like little pillows from studio 35 beauty that come from Walgreens, and everything comes right off no problem. My lashes didn't clump together trying to take my makeup off, just easy peasy and done. But again, no it doesn't burn at all. ☺️
+Kelly Turner By using coconut oil to remove your makeup you're adding an extra step.. While Bioderma removes everything in one step - without stripping your face of moisture.
+Olena Loves I tried using coconut oil once. For the last several months I've been using medical grade skincare along with Bioderma. Nothing works better in my opinion. I'll never use any cleansers, toners, moisturizers, etc if it isn't medical grade. My skin has changed so much, for the better and I love the results I'm seeing.
I use Simple daily as my morning cleanser. It's quick and works well and I don't have to fight my cat for running water. I tried it for makeup removal once and went right back to my coconut oil!
Haha it's definitely great as a quick morning cleanser! I'll use it quickly in the mornings on days when I'm not going to wear makeup, if I'm going to wear makeup though I need to go in with a purifying cleanser because my skin is sooo oily!
I literally just bought the simple water to test it against the Bioderma....and the Bioderma still works better sadly! $36 to $5 😢 that's funny that you just posted this video right after I did the same thing 👏🏻👏🏻
Taylerer ererer $36? Do you buy your Bioderma on Amazon? If you're in the states you should check out Beautylish! They have it for the regular $20USD price :)
No I live in western Canada so I just bought mine from Shoppers....I wish it was only $20 haha
That's really weird, I'm from western Canada and the 500ml bottle is $27 at Shoppers here!
hmmm....odd?? Maybe I was looking at the pack of two?? haha
the bioderma burned the hell out of my eyes!
+anodracbo That's crazy, I have extremely sensitive eyes and it doens't sting at all!
what's crazy about that..........that is what happen. then I guess your eyes are not as sensitive as you though! Google it and you will see how many people complained about the same thing.
+anodracbo It might have been the MAKEUP you were removing that was burning your eyes, not the actual Bioderma product! It's important to choose a good mascara (Covergirl Lashblast doesn't sting), and good eyeshadows (Mac doesn't sting).
If it were the MAKEUP then it would have burned with any remover!
