Yeh it's pretty nippy and going to give us some giggles,
I've got the acceleration set to "soft" and the ESC timing is at 9 and goes up
to over 30 :)
my new waders were inflating a bit and acting like a drogue-chute and also giving me a proper bubble-butt look, right chunky :)
so I reckon that lost me a few clicks on speed as well,
now I know that the batteries can take a bit more hammer I'll
pull the trigger harder and for longer on the next time out,
and I'll get myself a belt for the bubble butt waders,
Who knew scoobydoo I can have a J. LO too.
This build was about £1,300,
the shop bought ones will cost you about £16,000,
that's less than 1/10 the price and faster than most of them,

Quick tip- wear a waist belt over those waders so if you do fall in they wont fill up with water!

Those waders are dangerous, if you fall in they will fill full of water and you won`t be able to swim properly.

Add some water-cooled heat sinks between the battery banks, and that'll deal with any heat issues. You can even use the exhaust port to supply the flow, but use braided cables, as the pressure would be pretty high.

How can he patent something that they already sell in the store? His is just a DIY version. Jet /boards have been around for 50 years. Electric ones for 15 years. Do you live under a rock or something? lol

What is the cost of just the Jet-drives, motors, ESC and control setup? I guess "drive-line" minus the batteries?
Been dreaming about building a small 6 foot plywood boat, and don't want to put a small outboard on it.
I know I wont get this kind of speed, but still.
Find you a old jet ski and use the motor out of that it won't be quiet as compact that this is but like you said, you wanted to build a 6 foot wooden boat so that would be about perfect for you

Oh congrats mate that thing is a absolute weapon compared to anything else I’ve seen you build ha ha better get a crash helmet before you go standing up with all those trees and rocks about ha ha ! Might be a good time to get a experimental dummy in, I.e. some one younger than your good self he he. Seriously full credit just diabolically fast ha ha ! I don’t think they surf any faster on a giant wave correct me if I’m wrong.
