im sorry you're bored with what im doing lol. Building racecars isnt always super exciting, its hard tedious work that takes skill, tools and knowledge to use all that together (aand probably why alot of guys have to pay someone else to do it for them).
Love me some oil containment devices! I try to sell them to all of my customers. I prefer to build them from front of crank pulley to tail shaft of tranny! Looks great!
When ur tig welding steel u need to switch the cup on ur welder to a larger size. Ur using like a number 8 shorty on the aluminum which is perfect. But for steel try like a 16,20,24 big fat furick style cup and ull get better gas distribution and ur welds will look like butter. Give it a shot, ull like the results

That Jazz break with the jigsaw was a nice touch. Also an honorable mention for deburring. Additional goop for the welds, tuck the cloth to the goop, slightly longer pop rivet, washer and the cloth running under the rivet pulling the Zeuss through the cloth, would stop the leak when the belly pan is full. Also, a full size pan covering both engine and transmission would have more catching capability. Half inch air gap on a full pan would circulate enough air under the engine and trans to keep them going full length. A short pan doesn't necessarily need beads rolled, but full length pan would need some X or IIII pattern rolled on the bottom. This would also do wonders for the aero.

Hello fellow Pontiac enthusiast… I noticed you are still running a 4X MSD crank trigger on the GTO. You can very easily switch to a Holley 12-1X crank trigger with Hall effect sensor for more resolution. I did it on my EFI 484” 70 TA. I used the Holley 556-171 SBC 7” kit with a Pontiac crank trigger mount. It went together super easy which is rare for race car stuff lol. Love the Pontiac content!

This channel is called midwest street cars, our shop where we build the cars we race and we break stuff, fix stuff, upgrade stuff and overall try to go faster, learn more stuff and share the results plus how/why we do things. When others are around we like to enjoy the time with them, rather than point a camera at them.

Ever used a circular saw (skill saw) on sheet aluminum? I prefer it on anything .120 or less, makes for quick clean cuts, no need for oils or wax neither.

A stepped drill bit sorta deburs itself, it lets me skip coming back with the countersink bit. I know it sped me up, maybe be worth trying.

Hello chief like your UA-cam channel I remember my brother had his Crew in the 70s my brother had a red GTO my other brother had a nova like murder nova plus his friends had fast cars we were so brave My brothers friend had a dragster . that we raced in the streets .he raced against a camera gave him 6 cars cause the Guy was scared to race head's up our buddies dragster still smoked him . My 2 brothers and his 7 crew members in the 70 s we're the original street outlaws back then .my brother wasn't afraid to race any car . especially when he had the GTO . That car was fast .

here it goes have you tried or seen solid aluminum rivets ? We're using them on ever body and zuse fasteners the advantage is they don't lose up rattle they're lighter and stronger

had that little guy since like 2010, it was my first welder and i swear it runs as good or better than anything else i have lol
The one I made for my chassis car starts 4 inches in front of the crankshaft front seal and runs all the way down to where it’s about 2 inches behind the front pump seal on the trans. It is also lined with pig mat absorbent material just so. wind doesn’t blow it out
