Josh being on this really made the final quest bring me back to the old NLSS days where struggling with getting a lobby was a quarter of the segment. Always happy the see Josh and great show as always Baer!

I’d love to see an “Olympics style” season of side quests. Everyone gets the same exact quests and it is a true speed run fashion. Free to use the same games too. I think it would be cool but that might just be me. :) I think it would be fair if everyone saw the quests ahead of time so everyone can prepare for them.
The Mods episode kinda put a damper on the fun for me, so getting Kate, Josh, and Mathas was an incredible surprise! They did not disappoint!

Here are my ideas for some of these:
Cause a car accident: Crazy Taxy? GTA? Driver? Any racing game?
Fail a quicktime event: Any Quantic Dream game? Telltale games? Spider-Man?
Achieve a combo of 100x or more: Any game with lots of easy to kill enemies like Dynasty Warriors?
Die on Level 5: Super Meat Boy, vvvvvvvvv, any 2D indie game with level selection?
There should be a relay race of some kind! Like Kate can't start her quest until Josh finishes the first quest and so on
Great episode, as always! A shame about all of those installs, particularly with the final quest. Their time was very respectable before they hit that final wall! That was a pretty difficult quest! (The chances of all three having at least two games the same is a little higher because they're in the same friends circle, but remembering if the game allows killing the other players is an additional layer on top of it that complicates it further! Not implying it was an unfair challenge, just stressing that it was a challenge even without the installs and game crashes!)

I love how we think differently with these side quests. I immediately went Muse Dash for the 100 combo, where they were quicker on others.

I absolutely love thinking what I'd do for these along with the contestants. It usually boils down to me using Skyrim, Control, and a bleach gacha game.
Always love to see Side Quest! I'm still waiting for someone to catch fish in Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kindgom--just grab those things out of the water with your bare hands. XD
OK this week, what do I have?
Catch 5 Fish: I've never fished in Don't Starve, but I'm running low on fishing games. Let's hope I can go quick.
Level Up!: I'm loading PokeRogue. Just gotta speed through a couple fights and that'll be done.
Fail a quicktime event: Hitman, get into a fight, try to punch someone, fail the dodge
Cause a car accident: There's probably a way to do that in Hitman but I don't know it off the top of my head. There's a map on Overwatch 2 that has cars on a highway. Load into that, stand in front of one, get hit. I consider that an accident, it doesn't say it has to be one car hitting another.
Kill 5 spiders/insects: I think I'll load Isaac and reset for the cellar.
Bring yourself back from the dead: Installing Rogue Legacy 2, I have a completed save, and I think there was an upgrade where when you die you come back.
Upset someone until they physically retaliate: I'll do that alongside the failed quicktime in Hitman
Ride a horse from a village to a lake: As long as a Pal from Palworld that looks like a horse counts, I should be able to do that pretty easily. There are villages, there are lakes.
Achieve a combo of 100x or more: That's just evil. How the heck do I do that? I think Cult of the Lamb had a combo tracker thing? I don't know if I could do 100x but I could try. If that fails I'm installing Marvel vs Capcom 3 and seeing if I can do anything there with supers.
Die on level 5: Isaac, Azazel. Easy.
Kill each of your teammates: Dark and Darker, Overwatch 2. Those are the multiplayer games where that is convenient that I have installed right now. I could probably do it faster with browser games, but I'm trying to think fast because I want to watch the video.
For the combo of 100x or more just buy a cheap killstreaker wrench in tf2 and load a map where you can kill 100 bots at once and that should be good lol.
This really reminds me how bad they barbed the second Magicka. First one was awesome.

I’m still not happy with the time put up by Team Mods. Especially because they had games loaded up already. It felt like they had knowledge of the quests beforehand.

/me JOSH Btw fail a quicktime even could just have failed the fish prompt in stardew and die at level 5 could have been level 5 of the mines. I was exited when they loaded up Stardew but they never did either.

I would love for an impossible tier episode of this where the streamers suggest things like Kate's "Let's see them get a Yakuman."
Though... maybe have a partner/friend download any needed games for them beforehand.
10 quests or attempt 1 “super quest”
@@jus_ttkrl I like where your head is at. But the variability in having only one super quest would make it harder to balance for expected time. Got to give enough quests at the right difficulty to make it comparable to future lists of quests.
You could just do one list of returning participant requested missions that all teams have to do in different episodes. Maybe like one quest request per team or something. Side Quest: Request
Plus a final quest of catch 50 fish
The last quest was super tough. RNG giveth and taketh😭
A game that could do the 100 hit combo if you can get on the fan server is Dragalia Lost. With the right character, 100 combo is child's play if you can find a boss that won't melt. I miss that gacha game

Kinda unfair since so far all other final quests could've been done individually by anyone, no team multiplayer needed (aside from using the same item in any game simultaneously). And they had to do it twice lol.
It'd be fun if every Final Quest were multiplayer, the team all together! It might be hard to make balanced FQs for all teams tho 😅
Maybe make next season so everyone has the same Final Quest?

Spelunky 2 would be great for this one, you could kill 5 spiders, bring yourself back from the dead, upset someone until they retaliate and die on level 5 all pretty quickly.
Automatically the best team cuz of Josh tbh. Kate and mathas are great too! Much more fun of an episode than last one.. 😅

Is there a rule for 1 game = 1 quest? since 5 of these is easily completed in tiny rogues
level up is an easy one, quicktime event with a lockpick, 5 spiders, death defiance, die on level 5
also "upset someone" insta remembered half life and the "pick up the can" guard xd

I just like thinking about how many could be done in WoW alone. I think I could manage 8/10 not including the combo and car accident. Unless there is a combo mechanic in newer retail wow then yeah.
