Pinball play was insane!
Ingenuity on behalf of McLaffyTaffy with the physical in-house pinball machine gambit. Kind of made up for the significant clock hit taken trying to install It Takes Two, I believe that one game was called. At only 2.1 minutes behind Team Unity's time it was a close race. Well-played all-around!
Sinvicta's guess of Grounded would probably have installed faster and also starts the game with you being shrunk. Definitely good showing overall, though.
The pinball machine move was such a great moment to see live, great episode
It really redeemed the whiff on It Takes Two

This is a fantastic series, I wish there was a way to try it myself. Like a website that would generate 10 tasks to do and start a timer.
Oh man that would be great. Can also homebrew it with friends, just write down a bunch of quest, then roll some dice to determine what quest you get.

If I even go to another Lan-party in my life, I will definitely try it out.
You could have an actual leaderboard and speedrunners.
Oh I know what would be fun. I think every week I'm gonna comment the first games that came to my mind based on what I keep installed/could quickly install and what I have.
5 Fish - I think I still have New World installed
Phone Call - I think I would have to install Plate Up, but that should be easy.
Extra Life - Risk of Rain 2, turn on Command, hunt for a red to get Dio's Best Friend
Puke - My first is Mortal Kombat 9, Noob Saibot's X-Ray makes you puke. Not sure how big an install that is but it's what I've got.
Kill 5 Ogres - Easy. Total War Warhammer 3. This game was also my ace in the hole for last week with build an army and kill goblins.
Do a Barrel Roll - I think I have Starfield installed. Load times suck, but shouldn't be too bad.
Spell Side Quest - Tabletop Simulator. Makes that super easy. I also think Tabletop Simulator may be a very good, versatile game for future quests.
Shrink Yourself - I don't know that I would have thought Dark and Darker without being prompted by watching this, I probably would've grinded Isaac for a size down pill or something.
Get Fired - I would ask about a technicality. The beginning of Dishonored is Corvo being a royal guard, then being falsely accused of murdering the queen and thrown in jail. Does that count as being fired?
Play a Nursery Rhyme - Depends how much of the song I have to play. I can do the beginning of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the bells on the Mexico map in Overwatch 2. Beyond that I'm not sure. There are multiple organs in Runescape but to be honest I'm not sure if you can play whatever you want on them. My last attempt at it would have to be trying to pluck it out on the lute in Mordhau.
Score 1,000,000 - Uhhhhh probably going for Luck be a Landlord. I think some fighting game ladder modes might be faster, but I can't say for sure. If those don't seem to work, I can't remember the increments for points in Hitman, but hopefully it's high?
I was worried about the technicality of having got shrunk rather than actively shrinking yourself. Great episode, everybody!
Um, technically he didn't shrink, he turned into a regular sized rat.
This is so much fun! You're constantly asking yourself how you yourself would do it. For instance, I just booted up The Sims 4 and had five fish, the phone call and the spell "side quest" with objects down in under 9 minutes. But for all the others I have only vague ideas and would definitely have to install another game. I love this concept!
I am genuinely loving this series. It's introducing me to new people I've never even heard of and that are really interesting to watch. If you take suggestions for contestants I have a couple, specifically splattercat, and wanderbots.

Baer, I wanted to comment on the first video but got distracted when the 2nd and 3rd vid were out This is such an insane concept, I love it. Please, for the love of all that is holy, continue this series. It's a beautiful approach to videogames as a whole, and the ingenuity of gamers in general. May this live forever.

With all the variability and seat-of-the-pants ruling, I definitely can't take it seriously as a competitive thing. But as entertainment this is an absolute blast and I'm down for this series and hopefully the sequels! Well done, Baer, this is a fun watch!

as soon as the combined score quest came up I was thinking pinball!! Immediately my mind went to the microsoft pinball 3d games that came with computers (do they still have that?) but the in-house pinball machine was clutch lol

For the score round my first thought was Space Cadet Pinball, it's obviously not packaged on Windows anymore but I wondered if it could be played in a browser or something. Was NOT expecting a physical pinball machine. Brilliant.

Would booting up Super Mario Bros., getting a mushroom, then intentionally taking damage to become small Mario again, count as shrinking yourself? Could've done that and THEN picked up an extra life with the hidden 1up mushroom on 1-1.

holy shit, this is an amazingly creative idea for a game show!!! i love this so much. my mind is racing immediately thinking of which games i might play to get the quests done lol. all i know is i'd boot up MGS3 and spin Snake around in the character viewer to make him vomit. not sure why that's the first game that comes to mind haha. and shrink yourself is obviously gonna be Duke Nukem Forever online multiplayer (or just play the mission where you have to shrink down).

I think little moments where baer jumps to the individual stream/game for stuff like the trombone would be nice but idk his set up. I really like this series

I actually have a question. Say someone had asked chat to go, and find an Isaac mini mush seed for the shrink yourself challenge. Would you have allowed that, even if the streamer had done something else in the meantime?

Dude i love these videos so much. I heard about it thorugh NL and honestly I'm loving each of these episodes. I'm constantly thinking about how i would do each task and my own optimal strategy.

Sinvicta could have gotten noggenfoggers potions from gadgetzan and shrunk his character like that. Fishing in wow is also very quick.

I'm terrified someone will discover you can do all but the get fired quest in scribblenauts.
It's been used, in the first one, NL used scribblenauts for a few things.
I was thinking disco elysium might have been a decent choice, you can make a phone call, vomit, and get fired all pretty easily on day 1
A million percent, if we'd stalled, I was thinking about firing up Disco Elysium and pushing through Day 1 to see what we could get done.

I wonder if, as this series goes on, certain games might end up getting banned, just for making the challenges too easy. Scribblenauts, for example, can do pretty much anything.

I would have gone straight to Mario for the extra life or shrinkage. You could get both of those done in seconds.
No Nintendo games on steam though and I don’t know if any of them had capture cards for their switch set up
