  • Grace Millane was a British backpacker with big plans, namely to travel the southern hemisphere. When she arrived in New Zealand in 2018, she went on Tinder and arranged a date. The man she met was Jesse Kempson, and he would turn out to be the definition of monster.

    If Grace was strangled…..WHY WAS THERE BLOOD EVERYWHERE?!!
    That cop ABSOLUTELY knew what Catfishing was, hahaha. He just wanted the monster in front of him to have an opportunity to bury himself. It is unbelievably freaking disturbing how he calmly went on ANOTHER date, bought cleaning items, etc….so calmly and effortlessly. Not a care in the world. @@deltacountycitizenreport2556 wow! That's a good question. That has to be someone's blood. It's crazy that she was strangled and absolutely no one questioned him about the blood, which seemed to be a lot. Maybe that's why he appeared to be so calm....wasn't his first time??

    • @piratemousie
      @piratemousie Рік тому +18

      @@terrinorrell8290 the reason for all the blood is because strangling someone to death isn't easy, sadly tv and film makes it look quick and relatively non violent... as someone who was nearly choked to death, let me clear it up for you.
      Firstly, you fight. Hard and instinctively. You'll kick out at anything and everything to try and get away, to get a grip on something to get some leverage, and this often ends with a bunch of bruises, cuts and scrapes. Also common are head wounds and broken bones like noses and throat bones; head injuries bleed a LOT, and it was a narrow space and she would have been thrashing about. So she probably had a few cuts on her scalp from coming off the bed, it looks like there was some blood on the shelving unit so she probably hit her head on that. She would have also been bleeding profusely from her nose, which bleeds a fuckton, especially when you're fighting for your life and the adrenaline is pumping. Plus, she was almost certainly also bleeding from her throat and mouth, which will have most likely caused her to vomit up the blood she swallowed, causing more blood spread.
      Sorry if this is graphic.. but that's kind of the point. For some reason the media, tv and film, and even "true crime" shows, especially ones who do reenactments, have decided to portray being choked to death (or suffocated) as this strangely.. quiet and, dare I say it, quick and peaceful death, when it really REALLY fucking isn't.
      Hope this answered your questions.

    This will probably get lost since it's been 8 months since this video was aired. I knew Grace personally, we were on the same marketing courses at Lincoln University (we were part of a group project during second year). I remember my girlfriend at the time asking me in late 2018 'do you know of a Grace Millane? She's been reported missing'. My group of mates were spooked but thought she'll be found alive, just someone travelling who may have got too drunk and lost her phone ( it happens on nights out at uni). When her body was reported, it sent shockwaves amongst the uni and everyone who knew her. I went back through my google drive and saw a few presentations we'd done together for Service Marketing and it's strange knowing someone who we joked about skipping seminars sometimes (like anyone else does) to end up murdered. Utterly surreal. I t feels so weird to see someone who I studied with son closely - who I also graduate within my cohort be murdered. She was just enjoying herself and this is how her life ended... It just hurts me mate.

    This all unfolded right next door to my work, I used to go to that last bar Grace was at next to his apartment (Blue Stone). I was there nearly every day after work, it was eerie looking up and seeing through his apartment window that looked over the bar, it had plastic lining inside his room for some reason. Forensics, clean up, renovations, I dunno. I shudder to think what her last moments were like. Poor Grace and her poor family, so unnecessary. One of the waitresses at Blue Stone was one of Jesse's tinder hookups, the one who left her glasses at Jesse's place and teased him about him giving them back to her since he literally lived 5 steps away, she seemed rather shaken up for a while after the revelation of what happened to Grace. She was often absent a lot to attend court so it gave her identity away to the regulars there. Poor girl, she is lucky to be alive. Blue Stone has since closed down due to rona so that puts an end to that strange and tragic chapter.

Never tamp it down. I was working alone one night, we’d just had the last party leave. I never lock the door behind people. We live in a small safe town. But, all I could hear in my brain over and over again was LOCK THE DOOR. LOCK THE DOOR. I followed the last 2 people in the group out and locked the door before doing clean up. I had my back to the door as I wiped down tables. All of a sudden I heard a tremendous crashing noise. One of the guys from the party had ran up to the door and tried to throw it open with all of his might. Luckily I listened to my intuition. He held up his hands and ran off. I have never worked another night with out protection or without locking the doors. Since he didn’t actually do anything to me, the police didn’t really care. 🤷‍♀️

      I cannot imagine what Grace's mom has been going through, but I do know that my mom and sister had gone through when I had gone missing for a bit over 3 months. They called the morgues, jails and hospitals all over Chicago. They found 2 Hispanics who knew where I was, which was in a boarded up windowless basement with rats, mice, cockroaches and spiders. My ex locked me in that place. When they rescued me, I was literally banging on death's door. I thank God that they had rescued me before I died in that basement.

      @thesaxophoneboy 3 роки тому +14

      To be a bit pedantic, he wasn't gaslighting the judge. He was insulting the judge, and denying his involvement/the evidence etc., but this isn't necessarily gaslighting. Gaslighting is a very specific type of psychological abuse, a sustained campaign in which the abuser gradually causes the victim to doubt their perception of reality. The term comes from a 1938 British stage play called "Gas Light", if you're interested in learning more about it! For example, it was a tactic that was used by the Stasi, the East German secret police force, to abuse and control political dissidents. Gaslighting was just one method used in their psychological warfare technique called Zersetzung!
      This guy was obviously unable to admit guilt and take responsibility for his horrific actions, but disagreeing with someone (even in the face of evidence) doesn't mean it's gaslighting.
      Sorry for the pedantry, but "gaslighting" is a specific term that's become overused and misapplied on the internet in the last few years! I think it's important that labels around certain things, such as abuse, remain consistent, as diluting/delegitimising the term might make gaslighting victims feel less validated in their concern, and potentially less likely to try and escape their abusive situation.

      That doesn't surprise me - Kempson's innocent, 'I'm just a regular guy' act with cops was totally unconvincing too. He comes over as pretentious and not very bright, a fake and a fantasist. The next girl he met thru Tinder after Grace saw through him immediately and couldn't escape him fast enough - how sad Grace was taken in.
      I was pretty naive at her age too, but there's no way I'd have gone back to a guy's room with him the same night we met. As soon as you're alone with a man behind a locked door, you're at his mercy. And you might suddenly see a very different side to him.
      Grace was raised by decent people, in a well to do, middle class area of England. She had never known a toxic male like Kempson - he was alien to her experience, so she didn't recognise the danger he presented. It's an outrage he was able to take her precious life from her, just for his pathetic, 5 second orgasm.

    “Police dogs can’t find a body if it’s buried more than 4 feet"
    He may as well just asked "Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?"

      Now if he was a real playa at the resturant he would of asked the bartender for a beer for himself and a roofycollata for his date!

      Police dogs definitely can find a body beyond 4ft that's a dumb statement

    The fact that she disappeared on her birthday makes this even more sickening.... Heartbreaking.

      Everyone sending her birthday messages and calling but with no response. That does add another layer of tragedy.

      He's got a really strange face; strange enough that one would think any woman would say "pass" when seeing his profile. The fact that it's larded with BS just adds to the sheer "no way" issues with this guy.
