Glad to see Distilled up there. I finally got my hands on it this year and we enjoyed it too. The designer being a fellow Wisconsinite, I have to support every game he designs now. So I overspent and backed Luthier. Looking forward to it.
Pagan...I just can't sing it's praises highly enough...just phenomenal. Distilled and draft and write records are two of the games that after playing on BGA, I went whoa...I've got to have a physical copy of this...and went out and purchased.
I passed on Distilled because my friends and I don't drink either, and so I didn't think that they'd want to play a game with this theme. Kinda regretting my decision. Thanks for the list!
So glad to see Mycelium on this list! I've had it on my wishlist for awhile now but I can't find it anywhere. Now I know for sure that I really really want to get it so the search continues
Great lists. I'm looking forward to playing distilled and fate of Roanoke. I have both on my shelf. Witchcraft is a beautiful game and one I find I can't help playing multiple times in a row, KAY!
I need to try Distilled in person. I played on BGA once but didn't really get it. Many people love it and talk about how thematic it is, so I hope to try the physical game some time.
I do think it is better in person. There is enough going on in the game that I think trying to stumble through it on BGA is not going to be conducive to a great experience.
Great lists. I finally played Aquatica this year too, really fun game. Cosmic Frog and Mechs vs Minions I have to get to the table, we have plans to play Prodigals club and Last Will soon. I loved Search for Planet X, so I wanna try Lost species and UAPs too.
Cosmic Frog, Mechs & Minions, and Aquatica are all at the top of my short list to get played! Life of the Amazonia is amazing and I just got my own copy recently. Finally, love the Distilled love. I’ve enjoyed it on BGA but I think I’m doing it a disservice by not playing it IRL
Jeff I really think you’d like Black Orchestra! It’s a cooperative pick up and delivery game with a really cool historical theme. You play as real guys who were either German citizens, or a part of the N*zi regime, who all attempted to assassinate Hitler (which is the goal of the game). Super fun
I haven’t played Mycellium, the reason being the same problem that other people have with it, the ‘theme’. I need a game’s theme and mechanics to ‘fit’, even if the fit is a tenuous one.
Hmm I find that odd. The theme is mushrooms building underground networks to move nutrients. Which is exactly how mushrooms work? I mean. To each their own but that logic doesn’t make sense to me haha
Love your videos guys! However, the new set isn’t great. It’s very dark and the light is harsh and not flattering. The old sets were much more cheerful and inviting
We just moved in and mentioned in our previous videos we have more coming to get everything in order, just gotta be patient as it’s a big process getting things set up!

I immediately backed Luthier based on how much I adore Distilled. Can't wait for it!
Distilled is tied for #1 in my collection with Kanban EV. I love this game and everyone I've taught it to has also fallen in love with it.
100% agreed on Distilled. Amazing theme, such a cool based mechanic around setting up that deck. 10/10 choice both!
Thanks for watching!

I get it for sure!! But it’s mechanically VERY good
@@FostertheMeeple When I first saw it, I thought it looked fantastic. I'm going to put it on my list! Thank you!👍

Best of luck!!!
I feel you on negotiations in board games, Jamie. You summed it up perfectly. Great list!
Love the content you guys! Please never stop doing this!!!! I might just get fishing because of your recommendations in the last video Jeff!
Awesome!!! Thanks so much for the kindness
Great picks! Love the channel. Both of you have great lists.
Thank you!!!
I love Mycelium

I loved Battle Toads, when I was a kid! Had it on the Gameboy.

best part of this video was when Jamie said "gee get a room" to Jeff mentioning another GMT game 😂
LOL thank you for catching that 😂
I started playing solo board games this year to keep my mind sharp in retirement. I love Witchcraft! Haven’t won yet but it is fun.
Awesome!!! That’s so great to hear. Thanks for sharing!

It’s much better in person IMO!
Dice town! Awesome fun.
Dice Town is great. I usually don't buy expansions, but the expansion for Dice Town is awesome.
Yes we’ve played with the expansion!! It is great
Jamie have you heard of the Murdle books? They are logic/deduction game books. My daughter got it for me for Christmas and it is great!
Ohhh I haven’t!! I’ll have to check them out!
I wasn't sure about the wall colour, but it looks really great😊
Thanks! I think it will look even better when we get some shelves up!

We’ve been trying to find a copy for awhile!! I very much want to try it!
Just bought Aquatica- very good! How does the Cold Water expansion make the game better? 🤔
It just adds more! Which is always the best type of expansion
You forgot the link 😂 comment added just for Jeff 🤝
LOL added it 😂
Do we not get a 2024 villainous 😭😭😭😭
We ran out of time but we plan to do it in Jan!!
How do these rank among your top 10s of 2024?
Jamie used pub meeple and Jeff just goes with his gut!

Lemmings are small rodents and not necessary IP (and in this case I think it's not) :)
I mean. It plays the EXACT same as the video game. So, I’d say it is for sure based on IP ;)
@@FostertheMeeple Then I need to try it!
