For the quality of performance, it cannot be reached with the systems many users use. Because your system is utilizing a 96GBs of Ram. that's a big deal of Ram many people can't afford. The other components of your PC are great for the sim in its new version. very nice video. I like this effort you made.
After buying an absolute beast of a pc for FSX back in the days, I’ve learned my lesson. As it didn’t support multicore cpu use, and didn’t even use DX10 (DX10 was showcased specifically for FSX) and nothing was optimized. I will wait at least a year before I even consider getting a PC for it.
I'm putting together a PC for MSFS 2024. Got the 4080 Super too with 64GB 6000MHz CL30 RAM. I couldn't find a 9800X3D in stock anywhere :-(. So I've ordered a 7900X3D instead for now as I believe it's better than the 7800X3D for MSFS (for 2020 at least)
It’s actually not that demanding on non-ultra settings in my experience. I’m running it on a Lenovo Legion 5i laptop with RTX 3070 and 32GB RAM, and with the DLSS mod enabled I get around 50 FPS in 4K at high settings. Which is totally fine for a flight sim
Can I ask how you managed to get the CPU temperature to show in the overlay? I have a 9800X3D as well but I can only enable clock speed and utilization. I don"t see the temperature option 🤔
Yes, the upcoming tests will reveal what the average performance will be. However, I can already tell that VRAM might become an issue. Until the RTX 5090 is released, I’ll optimize the settings for the RTX 4080 Super.
@@UGInsanePlay I mean who is going to afford a 5090? rumor is its going to be between 1900-2200$ USD. Not many people are going to afford that to get the 24gb of VRAM
@@legiox3719 If it ends up being under $2,200, that would still be acceptable, but I fear it might be closer to $2,500. It's very expensive, though, so I’ll start saving up for it.

You might have. It might have been better to go with the 14900k as this game favors cores, threads, and frequency. The 3d vcache really has little to do. Not saying it will not be playable but this title might favor the raw power from intel with cores and threads. And once you core park your cutting down on cores and threads because it is depending on cache but if the title does not make use of it then it doesnt matter.
@@ssxtreme2000 I have been thinking that however, in the sims current state and Asobo / Microsoft stance on a few things it looks like I'm going to be sticking with 2020 for some time.

@@pcgamerzzzchannel3407 You may be right but in MSFS I've been struggling at 4k and do plan on grabbing a 5090 when they release. The 3d Cache has been helping quite a bit in my testing so I wouldn't say a total waste.
No overclocking, except that PBO is set to Auto. The graphics card is set to default settings. The departure airport is Newark Liberty International Airport.
In this benchmark, the VRAM was almost fully utilized, reaching around 14GB. Once you exceed the available VRAM limit, GPU frame times shoot up to 300ms, making the game barely playable. However, I’ll continue running regular benchmarks for MSFS 2024 and will test again with optimized settings. Tests with FlyByWire aircrafts and other aircraft will also follow at some point.
They weren't kidding about the 64GB of RAM required to play this game at higher settings, that is insane though I guess it must store all of the streamed files to RAM
@ yes I know but you have to remember that I believe he’s using default airplanes and scenery, now imagine 3rd party aircraft and sceneries, it will push it past 32GB and you have to remember it allocated roughly 27-29GB of RAM which part of that is windows ram allocation, it only takes a couple of third party add-ons to push it over 32GB
This has been a joke so far. I did upgrade from AM4 to AM5 for $1,000 for the 9800X3D and still get better performance with MSFS 2020. Hopefully optimization will fix this and fix the pathetic VR.
So, bit more than 30fps, native. As this vid is with FG on AND DLSS… Damn, this is fucking horrible. Especially since DLSS makes all the displays in the coxkpit blurry as hell…. horrible for such a system….

Did you have any problems wirh the mobo ?
Should your GPU utilization be much lower than the 97% for this setup?
Crazy how demanding this game is! Basically the best CPU on the market and one of the best GPU`s and getting just over 60fps
Only 4090 can handle 4k

Hello dear friend, what is the name of the program that you use to monitor the processor fan speed?
Fps is good but thats not the actual indicator for performance. Frame time is and that's what needs to be focused on lowering that value.
You got some very impressive frame rates, as MSFS is arguably the most demanding game/simulator on PC resources.

1440p test if possible?
I still have some 4K benchmarks planned, but once I’m done with those, I’ll also run 1440p tests.
