The coolant on a B58 is a separate circuit. Not the same temp as the engine coolant. Try AMS intake manifold with the air to water cooler I bet much more consistent intake temps even in drifting.
@@z_855turboR restriction remains either way. Since water is a much better cooler the fins don’t need to be as tight as a result much likely less restriction so it is benefit no matter what. Complication yes a bit more but the results are consistent performance over a wide ambient temp range.
These videos are so good! I am learning a lot of cool ways to setup stuff like the hydro mounting, and the brake master that I will probably do in my car in the future! Also I will definetly be getting my sim rig from simhq when I decide to get one!
Love the factory616 bracket, would love too see if put together in a very OEM spec with the interior put together, definitely thinking of ordering this for mine 🤝🔥
I'd love to see gt3 meets street fighter with a hint of oh E46 M3 top tier quality something that's drift able but also a track beast like time attack.
Cut the inlet manifold flange off the original plastic inlet manifold and use it as a spacer between the head and the new one, to prevent heat soak from the head (being the temp of the coolant) which will heat soak your charge air.
I want to b58 swap my e46 with a gen2 b58 matched with a 8hp trans is this possible and where are you guys located , if I buy the engine and trans around how much average for the swap ?

Well could be, but at least there's a one failure point less now..and theoretically less restriction in the intake manifold?

You shouldn't be using water as coolant in any vehicle.

stock gen 1 b58 direct injectors are good for about 650hp with a upgraded hpfp. i have a 2016 340i

If you guys are making e36 swap kits, would be cool if you did a k swap kit too.
You guys need to check out the Dorch engineering HPFP. It will give a lot more fuel flow on the direct injection.
