I want to see Crickett drift!! We had a conversation about that. Crickett if you read this, you don't need a simulator you got an e46 and a compound. 😂 put the build on the channel!
@ I got 2 of them 😂 one for fishing, the 2nd is a Kona jet boat and getting my turbo 5.3L That build will be a huge undertaking and will be on my channel from top to bottom
@Polish-Adam : would you also do some custom stuff? For example adapting the gear selector of the F8X M cars to the BMW AG Cars? Like a "normal" F22. Another question: would it be possible to mount a Supra Mk5 diff to a F22 (or another non-M car) with a standalone ecu for the diff?
Hello, Part of the functionality of the gateway is to make such adaptations possible. I already have a working setup where Gateway is used to talk with the 8HP and emulate 8HP shifter. That car uses E46 DME and BMW DCT shifter (the M-one) As for the diff, as long as it fits the chassis, you can mount it. I think you may want to get a M2 subframe. In case of F30 the F82 subframe fits perfectly into the chassis, so you can upgrade the diff and have the ability to drift.
Interested in learning more about the ecu emulation to make the f30 happy. Doesn’t have to be brand specific. Any suggestions where to get started? I want to be able to understand how to do a swap like this someday
The issue with any F or G series is that the whole network is extremely complicated. I don't know your skillset, but if you know how to do embedded software, then next logical step would be to get some dev boards and try to make a simple canbus communication (one node sends a frame, second node receives the frame and sends UART message or blinks an LED). When you learn how to run the network you need to record some traffic from the car and try to understand what goes where. Unfortunately this is brand/car specific and requires fair amount of time to get right. If you want to use already developed modules then the journey may be more of mechanical challenge than software.
😅 already has upgraded turbos, full dpf delete and tune. Makes around 700tq 400hp. I do wanna lift it a bit add some off road tires and stuff but nothing to crazy. I daily it
@ we still have the E3 six sketchy as a shop car plus chris is just finishing up his Juan Jay Z e46 so best believe I’ll be getting some laps in on that one too 😂
For Adam: what models will the diff controller work with when it is complete? I have an f30 330i but that is open diff. Is this only going to work with cars with an lsd?
Can you guys give me some contact details for polish adam im doing a bmw n73 v12 swap in to a bmw x5 e70 (swap is done apart from the ecu and wiring) in the netherlands and im having problems to find someone that is willing to help me get the factory ecu working and there is no aftermarket ecu that can run this engine direct injection and only 1 aftermarket ecu company that say they can run it if i would convert it to port injection Thank you for you time
OH so he's not part of htg annymore interesting.. i already taught something of was going on 🤔 u guys seemed to have issues with some.of the htg stuf and Adam was always trynna fix things whilsst the htg business owner was never really very present.. etc
Usually this depends on which ECU are you running. I don't exactly know the OEM MK4 ECU but I would not expect that to have all of the fancy functionalities to manage engine torque. It also depends on what you want to use your car for.
@@MisfitsGarageUK For that you would need a gateway to make the 8HP happy. Most of the parameters you can read off the CAN Link protocol (same ECU is used in red F30) Having wheel speed sensors connected to the gateway may be a nice add on but not strictly needed.

I assume they use the Durango pump since its made for a crazy heavy car, and you "shouldn't" overheat it?
Nope, our controller is only using about 55% of it's actual potential. It barely notices the car there.

The F30 needs a tire and then lined up next to LZs R32 sedan!!!! Cricket needs to Xi swap that E46 and make a rally car.

A lot of different car packs. The sim guys know more if you wanna pick their brain
I see collete’s S15 in the background, Is it finally coming back to the channel soon?
its waiting on parts to be manual swapped i think. but looks like its close to coming back
Downfall of HTG was a steep one! So many people got ripped off, hurts even more when other options out there just work flawlessly!
For Adam: what models will the diff controller work with when it is complete? I have an f30 330i but that is open diff. Is this only going to work with cars with an lsd?
As far as I can see any active diff from F or G chassis will work. I also have a design for plug and play kits which are fully reversable.
@ im not sure how to tell if I have an active diff 😂
@@tideshiftvisual F30 330i has passive open diff. Your best bet to get the active diff is to get the F80/F83 subframe with the diff.

@ something that does interest me still though is being able to add a clutch pedal with the 8hp like you guys did in the white supra
