- In this past live tutoring session, I focused on Acid and Base Neutralization Reactions, Precipitation Reactions, and Molarity.
Understanding how to use a solubility table can be tricky, but in this chemistry tutorial, I help you determine what compounds are soluble and insoluble for precipitation reactions.
Molarity is easily explained through practice problems, whether it's finding the molarity of a compound or using molarity as a conversion factor, I cover it all!

💁♀️ HI I'M MELISSA MARIBEL
I help students pass Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. I used to struggle with this subject, so when I finally graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, I became a tutor so that you wouldn't have to struggle like I did. I know that with the right help, YOU CAN LEARN ANYTHING!

you are following exactly along with what i'm learning in chem as a freshman in college right now! your videos are super helpful :))
I have the great opportunity to tutor my granddaughter in Chemistry as she is a freshman in Nursing at Hebrew University in Israel.
Even though I have 2 degrees in Chemistry (BS - LIU and MS -Northeastern), the level of Chemistry is more than I can remember from 60 years ago.
Your Tutorials are OUTSTANDING!!
I love this channel so much.
Thank you so much. I understand Chemistry more since I started listening to you
I sat through an entire lecture with my teacher and couldn't grasp this at first but you explained it and made it so helpful. Thank you so much!
I sat through a lecture with my professor and didn't grasp it at all, but she made it seem so simple !
Thank you so much Melissa Maribel. You are a life saver! I rewatch your videos all day to really master what we are doing in class.
You rock! You're the only reason I'm passing my chemistry class! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Where did you find your solubility table? Would you mind sharing it?
If only i found you the day i started my semester and not the day of the final. Amazing delivery. You are just awesome.
Talking about reaching 10K subscribers and now you've got 200K. Thank you SO much for your help!!
I'm so thankful for you. You make Chemistry so easy and fun. Thank you, Mel
Thank you soo soo much for this video!! I got a exam on all this topics tomorrow. We recently started talking about thermochemistry.
Legit told about this channel from my professor … he post her videos in our weekly modules..
Neutralization reaction started at 19:12
You are getting me and a group of my friends through online chem right now!
I am late to the game and just now found you, but better late than never! Thank you so much for your videos. It is hard to grasp something when first taught in class so you are helping me out a lot with chemistry.
Happy you found the channel! I'm so glad the videos are helping 🤓
Thank you very much for these helpful videos! I love the way you break things down in a way that is understandable. I never even learned this in my lectures :).
so helpful I have an exam thursday thank you so much so much easier to understand
Thank you Melissa u helped me a lot I failed my 1st test 😔so I hope I will pass the 2nd test
Thank you so much Miss Melissa😍🥰
Thank you for everything you do!
I have a test today and you covered exactly what I needed to review in that order. Thank you!
Yay!! Hope your test went well Priscilla 😊
thank you for making chemistry easy to understand!
Thank you! This video is so helpful!
Thank you so much you're a life saver🤝😍
I like your website Melissa. Very organized and great combination of colours.
thank you for your help!
You are the best. I understood everything at first glance. Thank you so much!
Yay!! Thank you 😊
Wow, what a nice teaching!! I wish I saw this when i was in high school, though many years ago i can follow and understand some things i didn't understand then.
Thank you very much for all you do. I really appreciate the time you are taking to make all your vids for us. Again thank you!!!
Hi Melissa, you are so helpful with my Chemistry journey. Thank you!!
I'm glad I found your channel, thanks
You're the best! I learn so quick thanks to you. I even started to like chemistry! haha. Thank you for being here! :)
You are amazing with how you explain things!
Hi Melissa, would you mind sharing your solubility table? I like the way that it's organized. My professor just gave us a big chunk of text, and it's really overwhelming for me.
"Is this chemistry?" HAHAHA
😂
youre the best. seriously!
Thanks!
Hello! Hope you can make videos about hypo, hyper and isotonic.
KEEP IT UP MELISSA
thanks for your super clear videos
thanks for u 😍😍😍😍😍
Could you possibly do a series of videos on reviewing material for finals and midterms!?
Hey lovely, I created some study checklists that list everything you need to know about that major Chemistry topic you can find that here melissa.help/studychecklists and that will be a great way to prepare for any Chemistry 1 Final or Midterm. I am also working on updating it to include Chemistry 2 that will be up mid-August.
Your videos are so helpful!! Thank you! Could you go over electromagnetic energy and atomic spectra, orbitals and quantum mechanics, and electron configuration pretty please!. I am so lost in that chapter right now :(
You are so smart🌹🌹
super helpful!! love it!
Thank you. Your videos are really helpful.
Can you make a video about concentration of solutions? I find it really hard to understand.
Hey Genna, was there a specific question you were stuck on for this topic just so I know exactly how I can help you out since the topic of concentration of solutions is a bit vague.
This is one of the question that I was stuck of
“The volume of a gas saturated with water at STP was 300 ml. What temperature would be needed to double the volume of the above dried gas if the pressure were increased to 790 mmHg?
I was actually getting trouble with analysing the problem then after that I don’t know how would I plan to answer the problem.
On class I totally understand the topic and how did they solve it. But the problem is when they already give the word problem. I don’t know we’re I throw my common sense maybe it melted or something.
So Mellisa please I need your help to cure my ignorance at this moment. I’m going crazy I only have one day before finals.
Can we do more problems like the last few?
Thanks sm!
after watching this video, i somehow feel like i am cheating lol, this is so simplified thank you so much!!!!
Could you help me solve this???? iron metal is added to a solution of Copper (II) Nitrate. Express your answer as a balanced chemical equation. THANK YOU! your videos help me tremendously!!!!!!
Hey Giselle, so these are the videos that will help you figure out this question and the next questions you will see like this.
This video will help you figure out the chemical formulas when given the compound names: ua-cam.com/video/PPfLDdIfOVA/v-deo.html&lc=UgwT-z6HYBmx4fpim7l4AaABAg
This video will help you translate words into chemical equations: ua-cam.com/video/yEdaso8vDYc/v-deo.html&lc=Ugzk_jv5xtuKTMmhUq54AaABAg
This video will help you predict the products of a single replacement reaction: ua-cam.com/video/A94EJfPaCf8/v-deo.html
Let me know what you get 👍
Giselle Doyle Fe2(s)+ Cu(NO3)2 (aq)-> Cu(s) + FeNO3(aq)
this is the equation unbalanced
Balanced would be
Fe2(s) + Cu(NO3)2(aq)-> Cu(s) + 2 FeNO3(aq)
I believe so, but I am sure that now you would have this correct
OMG. I think I love you. Thank you sooo much!
Can you please more videos on other topics
I just feel like I only undrestand this from you
Now I know I don't have to use the reactants' subscripts for writing the products. I was getting some really wacky answers because of this one misstep.
I love you so much!! THANK YOUUUU MELISSA!!! PLEASE BALANCE YOUR EQUAIONS THO lol my teacher loved your videos tho!!!
The term polyatomic atom kept coming up. Is this supposed to be polyatomic ion?
Yes, I meant to say polyatomic ion, sorry for any confusion. Hope the video was helpful!
I have a question, at 56:03 , couldn't you had multiplied H2 by 1/2 to get it to equal 3? Then HCL could've stayed 3, so everything could've been 3, 3, 1. In my class, my professor said it was okay to have fractions as coefficients, so i'm just wondering.
Yes that works too
How do u deal with I have the basics down but our teacher on exams gives us way off 10x harder questions how can I mange
what about the sig figs at 39.45?
Hello! We are at the last 5 weeks of class Stoichiometry , limiting reactant. Our instructor is using the BCA charts to find moles . Ive never taken chemistry . Im trying to figure out all these units and trying to put them together. I need some extra help. I am purchasing your notes. I would like to sign up for a live youtube session if possible. Where can I sign up?
Hi Melissa! What is real life example for acid base?
Chemistry is used in our everyday lives like the simplicity of drinking milk or water. For example if you were eating something spicy like peppers, peppers are acidic and if we wanted to neutralize this reaction you would need a base like milk. Water is another one where it actually can act as both an acid and a base. All of these reactions are real it's just harder to imagine when you don't see the actual chemicals.
I actually have a final tomorrow and I am lost. :( Acids and Bases!!!
I would love to sign up for a tutor, even though my class is over. How?
how do you know if a element has a charge?
Not sure what you mean, if you need a refresher on what each element's charge is, I have that here: ua-cam.com/video/nijb6UMvZuE/v-deo.html
Hi there! Could you send me your solubility table please? It is super helpful!
Nice
On the first Molarity problem, why didn't you report your answer with Sig Fig? that would be 0.8M, not 0.75M?
22:00
Are you going to do 8 hour live now?

👍👍👍👍
I like to know how much money are you charging monthly. Thank you so much
god bless you
Aww thanks love 😊
i'm still confuse with Precipitacion 😰😭
but, like the explanation. is only the rules that is confusion me🤦♀️
I did another video on this talking about solubility and how to use a solubility table make sure to watch till the end because I do a lot of examples at the end of this video. ua-cam.com/video/KOrq5i0rXUA/v-deo.html
You are the only reason I am keeping up in Chem! 🫶🏽
