Did you use any type of clear coating on the welding helmet?

orange is better colorscheme but looks like it dried with lumps on it...was that the case if so how to get an even coat ?

Okay, in school for welding. Wanting to customize my hood. Did you use a specific paint and clear coat? I'm worried it will melt with the high heat. Was wondering if you could just use regular spray paint or something more specific. As well as wondering if using high temp engine clear coat enamel would work
Lowe’s sells heat resistant spray paint.
What did you seal them with afterwards?
