I was literally scouring the internet yesterday looking for the answer to the question of mounting glass to a tile redi curb 😂 was going to call the company this morning but then the video dropped!

@@BathroomRemodelingTeacher haha me too. Could I potentially build a knee wall on the curb in the same way making sure fasteners don’t go thru? Then cover the wall with redi wall and sealant? Seems like the build out with a 2x4 plus 1/2” on both sides would work.

I was thinking.
Doesn't it make sense to fill up the curb cavity underneath the pan with some spray foam before it is installed?
You would then have double the protection. Just in case, when installing the track. Happy Father's Day.

That’s a nice door. I had to remove one a few weeks ago and reinstall it and the only way I could remove it is buying the strongest fishing line in town. I think it was like 50 pound test and I was able to work that between the U-channel in the glass to free up the silicone.

Can you tell me the reason for tiling past the curb? Is it aesthetics or for technical reasons?

Waterproofing. Stopping dead at the end is a big window of opportunity for water to hit drywall and cause damage
