Crisis is Alexisonfire's third studio album, and the follow-up to Watch Out!. The album was released on August 22, 2006. The album debuted at #1 on the Canadian Album Charts, selling over 20,000 copies in its first week. Crisis was certified Platinum in Canada in May 2007. It was also the first Alexisonfire album to feature a title track and first album featuring drummer Jordan Hastings.

Hailing from St. Catharines, Alexisonfire rose up out of the Southern Ontario underground in late 2001, to become one of the most successful indie bands in Canada. The band’s success also reached far beyond Canada’s borders. AOF released four hugely successful studio albums, Alexisonfire (2002), Watch Out (2004), Crisis (2006), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals (2009). Crisis debuted at #1 on the Top 200 Soundscan chart (Canada), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals debuted at #2, and charted at #9 on the US Billboard Independent Album chart. Watch Out helped earn the band New Group of the Year at the 2004 JUNO Awards. Their first 3 albums achieved Platinum certification in Canada while Old Crows / Young Cardinals reached Gold certification. The band also topped charts and graced several notable music magazine covers internationally (Kerrang, Blunt, Big Cheese, Canadian Musician, Exclaim! ). AOF’s sold-out 10th Year Anniversary Farewell tour in December 2012 touched down on four continents in 24 days, illustrating how meaningful the band still is to their legion of fans around the world.

Turned 35 this year, so proud to say that my 3boys have their playlists filled with rock, heavy metal and all the music I listened to in my younger years. They say 35 or 40 isn't old....psh I beg to differ. My husband is 45 and he's literally falling apart. What I got to look forward to. 😂

My brother and I are very nerdy when it comes to music videos and film in general... and I can confidently say that "Boiled Frogs" and "This Could Be Anywhere" are some of the best music videos ever. The ideas behind them and the way they were executed are just phenomenal. This shit stands the test of time. Truly the only band ever.

Song hits harder now than when I first heard it at 16. I'm 24 now, still youthful but I'm starting to feel the years slipping by now, my body is a little worse for wear. This can't be all what life is work till you die.

When I was a kid in high school I went to my favorite show ever. Alexisonfire, The Sleeping, Saosin, and Senses Fail. I'm in my 30's now, but these songs stick with me.

Trying to work out the video
George - trapped in a dead end job, eventually finds a way out but then ends up back at work
Wade- trapped in a prison of his own design and the moment he’s about to free himself he stays there
Chris - lost at sea and trying to move closer to the light, but then finds himself moving further and further away
Dallas - tries to work out a problem but eventually does, finds the gold watch
Jordan - also feels traps then eventually pulls apart his floor then pulls himself out of his own hell.
I wonder if for George's section they picked that building because the facade on the outside looks like bars?

This is probably a dumb question.... But is it "Alex is on fire" or "Alexis on fire"?
And I have no idea how I never got into this band... They came out right when I was a little more into this genre.
If I recall the time I asked this same question, I believe it is "Alexis on fire". The lead singer is Dallas Green and he started City and Colour - absolutely amazing material, albeit a start contrast in genre. Shows how versatile he is as a musician.
