I’m honestly suprised this hasn’t got more likes. Very good video indeed. I’m eighteen and own a Hyundai i20. Not exactly the same but pointed me in the right direction and saved me a couple thousand quid😄
V4 ************ thanks again for the views on the channel. ... it was a bit of a cold day just above 2•c... but the sun was out which made it a nice day out
I have this exact same model of i10 (just a year younger). Seeing this video has given me a confidence boost when replacing my clutch if it ever needs doing again. I could have saved myself a few hundred quid :D Keep up the great work and excellent videos!
Good job as always. clean and professional The largest and most beautiful workshop in the world is not necessary to be a professional. thanks for sharing.
carles Girona you’re absolutely right ... I have the same respect to anyone who does their job with care regardless of where they are ... hope you’re keeping well too.
125 SM I did see a big yellow ball in the sky early today... it took me a while to figure out what it was...😁... but it disappeared by mid afternoon 😂... Hope you’re keeping busy mate.
7:57 Doing this too and have all bolts out but gearbox doesn't want to come out. Now, I have snapped that bolt inside the gearbox but it shouldn't be holding it together as it only has threads in the gearbox and the bolt has a smooth shank. Wondered if I'll have a chance for some advice from Kevin if he ever catches this.
Not so bad for a small motor all looks easy to get to still a good size box to handle though don't need a gym workout in your job 😅I remember some of the struggles I had with the old motors of the 70s another top job nice one 👍
Alister West it was quite a nice little number this one was ... I bet them engines from back then weighed half a ton. The old carburettor... was it mostly inline transmission back then....I wasn’t even born back then Alister 😁😂
@@WMCS mostly in line but it was mostly spanners and hammers too worked for a small family firm for a long time good to work for put me through college for mechanics and bodywork started in nothing more than a tin workshop with a single pit then they had a new build garage that was something else great days enjoy watching your videos you do some excellent work see you on the next one all the best bud 👍
Morris minors vauxhall Victor's cresta's then mini's came on the scene pain in the ass points now you probably know I am well into my 70's but really enjoyed my time pleasure watching you work 👍
Alister West it’s great to hear of your experience from back then. I’ve worked with older mechanics before and spanners definitely gets well used ... Panel beaters is a great art. I’ve always wanted to do vehicle spraying ... I’m hoping it’s something I can move into in later years .... Did you have one of them little oil can in your tool box as well ..😁
Alister West I take it you had to be quite level headed to work on those engines back then I’ve heard many stories on how they needed constant adjustment ... like the valve clearance and like you mentioned the points ... did you have one of them timing lights.
I'm enjoying watching you vids. I recently changed the clutch on my Focus, and uncovered a few other issues at the same time (oil leak from turbo, coolant leak), stuff which was much easier tackling at the same time. You must find the same, so wondering what you do - perhaps just tackle the clutch, and advise the customer?
Mark Collins that’s exactly what I do. I have a check sheet and write down all advisories so customers can take it to a local garage. I only specifically just do the clutch
Rob Devitt I get them from euro car parts ... they are the heavy duty nitrate .. sometimes I use maybe two pairs for the whole job... hope you’re keeping busy yourself.

At last the sun's out, time for another clutch job! Bit late in watching, playing catch up now with UA-cam lol. Great job dude.

@@WMCS very busy, almost bumped into myself 😂😂.
125 SM 😆😆 I tripped over myself I did 😁
That was good timing, gonna try and do my daughter's I10 clutch next weekend 👍👍👍
The German hope you get it sorted ... it’s quite a fairly straight forward repair that one.

Pete mechanic that was a lovely little repair. ... then again I think it was the day that was nice ...lovely bit of sunshine.
The best mechanic...

Daniel Robinson thanks. the sky was clear and the day was nice and dry which is a real bonus when working outside. Hope you’re keeping well yourself.

colintx800 thanks mate. My GoPro camera has packed up. Waiting on a replacement one at the minute
Helped me out with my Hyundai i10 clutch replacement, thanks alot 👍
What's the purpose for the steel wool?
Used on several bolts, including @32:47
Do you know what the point of that black pressed steel bracket is on the bottom of the engine? The one with 4 bolts you removed? @6.06 min.
Please share 😁😊

gregos73 thanks mate. Hope life is treating you well on your side of the world. ...😊
@@WMCS i don't know mate. I 'm professionnal welder and for sure it's hard sometimes, but i love that
gregos73 just subscribed to your channel. You’re doing some proper hardcore work yourself mate ... are you in the uk.
Hello Kevin-Albert, was it easy to replace clutch on this korean car if you compare to another brands ?
Yes., I like them. Very straightforward
@@WMCS thank you!!
Hi kev. How many liters of gearbox oil should one put
Hi Tseke... I always use the level plug. Fill up till it overspill..., but at a guess I’d say 2.8L
Good video mate 👍can you do a video on the tools you use ?
Kyle Mclachlan thanks. I’ll keep that in mind.
great job keep up :)
Great video.... Many thanks
I wonder how heavy is that transmission box, can you tell me how many kilogram is that box? i want to do it myself too, thanks!
I don’t know how much it weighs. But not too heavy for me.
One more question please, are Luk Clutches more reliable now ?Are they trusty?
For the Far East market. I wouldn’t recommend it. Any Korean/Japanese cars I would go for AISIN or EXEDY., always ., Not LUK
@@WMCS 😀thank you!!

nice one kev
Dezwez Derek thanks a lot pal. ... appreciate your views on the videos.
How many spiders lived in that engine bay? Not get used much lately? Ace as usual.
m2mark1 😆😆 out comes the sun and incy spiders are out again... 🤩
Good Albert 👍😁🇧🇷
Thank you.
Excellent!,

Philip Burtonwood definitely a small quick job this one was ..
