800 bucks in Santa Fe?!! That's a huge rip off! I feel like this is more of an advertising story for this realtor than what's really going on over there. I visit family and friends around 2 times a month and I dread going and coming back every time due to the line to cross. It's horrible! Average 3-4hours if I'm lucky. They ask me to move down there but nope I got my life in LA county. Pricey yes, but I don't have to spend hours in my car. Supposedly affordable housing but these folks don't really spend time in the housing component since they're stuck in traffic 🤨😏
They are building thousand of these units down there. Developers with connections to corrupt govmt. It is creating a mess in traffic, pollution, overcrowding. They don't plan for the future infrastructure only a quick buck. Already some of these areas in Santa Fe are slums with gamgs, crime, graffiti and trash all over. Traffic is terrible right now. Imagine 5, 10 or 20 years from now?
Ensenada the same, people are raising rents and the homes are falling apart. Many homes have terminates and weak foundations. Worst in Baja Cove beach and La Bufadora region in Ensenada. In most countries, an owner can rase rents (3-4% to 10%) but mostly it is based on the value of the home and the local economy. Owners are getting greedy in Baja. .... and many homes need repairs.
But it’s also increased significantly because of more and more Americans moving there and that’s the reality. Is it cheaper than living in San Diego? Yes. How much will vary depending on which neighborhood you are trying to moving to
B.S. live in a 3 bedroom, 2 balconies, 2 car garage on the beach 850.00 per month, been 3 years, never been increased, you cant rent a dog house in San Diego for that, you can always find places in Tijuana, or Mexico, the Mexican government is not going to allow there people to be put on the street, Mexico has nowhere near the homeless as the U.S., not in your wildest imagination, the also build lots of Government home for workers, this is a $$$click video, dont believe anything coming out of the U.S. about Mexico on face value
Gotta thank Americans for Tijuana's rent skyrocketing 😂
It's always America's fault
It's sad to see
@@fortunatomartino8549Maybe if more affordable housing was built then this wouldnt have happened.
Tijuana is San Diego's affordable housing. It's sad to see the gougers drive up the cost of living.
False news there still cheap
I used to cross every day to work from Tijuana to Chula Vista… it was a nightmare!! Never again!!
Why ????
I know, we tried during the pandemic and it wasn’t easy even then. There is a reason they call it, “the busiest crossing in the world”.
Why?
My parents did it in 1974....it was a nightmare back then .. apparently nothing has changed
not if you have sentri
People living down there but working in San Diego look like they live like kings but that commute takes a toll on their lives it gets old quick
Not if you ride a motorcycle 🤙
@@jparker818 man you responding 8 months later LOL you got me on that one though 💯 true
There's also people who live there and work via computer so they dont have to cross the stinking border
