Jade is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. The lifelong friend of Princess Kitana, she serves as both one of Shao Kahn's personal assassins and spies, and as the personal bodyguard of Kitana.

they just downplay all of them. kitana’s just seen as liu kang’s lover, jade’s just seen as kitana’s bodyguard (now kotal’s lover), mileena’s ALWAYS destined to fail, and skarlet’s seen as the leech no one cares about. the downplay these women receive is sickening.
Quite disappointing that Jade was treated as a jobber/minor character. I personally enjoyed MK Legends: Battle of the Realms, but I wish characters like Jade could have been given more screen time/longer scenes. Still, the fight between her and Liu Kang is pretty cool.
That is hard, literally fans of each character want their fav character get MORE screen time and development which is impossible for 90-120 minutes film.

Yeah, I agree. MK Shaolin Monks and 9 shows that Jade has been portrayed as a henchwoman. She is Kitana’s Friend, but not much of a major character. While Kitana was meant to be a leader, Jade’s role is a follower.

She's not really a princess, but rather one of Shao Kahn's greatest assassins and best friends with Kitana. She's also way older than 1000 years, she's as old as Kitana, and speculating from sources, Kitana is 10k years old, so Jade is just as skilled as Kitana and Mileena. I do agree they did my girl so dirty

I feel like ONE of the problems in this movie is they didn't let these fight scenes breathe at all. So it just makes the person who lost the fight seem weak. For example when the Liu Kang/Jade fight starts we don't even see the beginning of it. Liu kang just falls in to the screen from getting hit? I can't tell because they didn't let us see it. I understand some characters got to win some lose but give some true back & forth in the fights PLEASE! Liu Kang is my favorite character but by no means should these fights be clean sweeps 🤦🏾♂️
I hope they show jade’s skill in the live action sequel…

Jade Looks Very Lovely As Ever In Every One Of Her Scenes In This Movie
She has never been as great as her intro to the series in MK3U. She was so unique, and her color scheme was beautiful. MK11 is her second best look, but still miles away. MK9 should not even be discussed.

I'd have to detain that, I feel like Kitana's outfit should be more warrior princess with ninja like themes to it like MK11 fitted just perfect for her minus she didn't wear her crowns very often, Jade did as well since she is Kitana's personal bodyguard so less clothing wouldn't be her style as she's always ready to protect her best friend so always a good amount of armor, and good amount of clothing, the only fighters who should ever be skimpy is Skarlet, Mileena, and Sindel. Mileena now doesn't bother hiding her face but in the old timeline she use to wear skimpy outfits to seduce people, I mean now it doesn't bother me either she was literally made to be different from Kitana's royal princess theme, Skarlet would have open clothing due to her draining blood 24/7 as she can do anything with blood magic, now Sindel we'll talk about that New Timline yeah I can understand Shao Kahn likes skimpy women, as in the old Sindel she was more proper in her ways, but I guess fish nets and wearing knee high boots is a benefit for her to fight better.

Ok now all I saw was her getting beat up. They made all these side characters, their stories, there weapons and abilities and just to see them get beat up. For Jade as she is Kitana’s loyal ally and bodyguard I should see more depth to her and not just see her try to fight and get beat up. She’s literally a trained assasin.
