It's a little hard to believe that Waller would commission something as powerful as Galateia and not have a failsafe incase she goes rogue.
It’s pretty uncharacteristic of the wall not to have half a dozen (usually micro explosive) contingency plans.
ngl those probably would just tip her off to waller not wanting her around anymore, mind you she's kryptonian, so even if they implanted micro explosives in her while she was gestating, they probably won't do much but annoy her
@@scalycopperhead1674 Easy: kryptonite laced micro explosives. Isolated carefully so the kryptonite doesn't affect her until it's triggered. A direct dose to the brain must be pretty potent.

you know, as far as villainous motivations to kill the hero go, I think "you know me as well as I do, which is a liability" seems like a decent one. It doesn't need any direct material conflict- just the knowledge that the otherside is a risk, and a willingness to 'solve problems'.

The sad thing is that insults only work if the victim believes they're true on some level. Supergirl couldn't defeat Galatea with physical strength, so she took emotional pain as vengeance.

Make her an antihero but Superman could throw her a lifeline when Cadmus is made obsolete as she is on the run for war crimes
The plot being she wants to understand her kryptonian heritage because she lacks purpose, but that also makes her a potential agent for Luthor which may be where she eventually goes to first, perhaps LexCorp is the only one that knows how to heal her from her coma because Luthor studied Superman biology for such a long time but that's the catch, she's tied to Luthor because of it somehow via like a termination device or something

But with Galatea's situation she would most likely still be separated from the Justice League. Plus, the Government has had at several occasions attempted to run their own Super Team in comics.
They could easily have Galatea become more friendly and grow as a character over time. Similar to Superboy in Young Justice

Mmm don't give up just yet. James Gunn asked which new character the fans would like to see in his DCU and Powergirl was third in fan votes behind Nightwing and Supergirl. Of course, Power Girl is my favorite female hero so I was glad to see her get the love. Hopefully Gunn goes through with it.

And there's basically zero chance with how hollywood is today that they'd ever, ever cast someone and have them actually portray how confident and open about how attractive they are like comic accurate PG is.
They won't even really do it in the animated movies, she only appears meaningfully in one animated movie (though it's by far the most accurate version we've ever had). Hollywood absolutely doesn't allow the kind of sex appeal PG is known for. Every media critic would shit their pants in rage

Galatea was essentially JLU's Power Girl. The DCAU only dabbled into the multiverse element, and they used it very sparingly. It was essentially just an evil Superman plot point, but they left it at that. Which was fine, really. We don't need a million Supermans or even a dozen Supermans. But, because there was no multiverse, that meant there was no Power Girl, so they had to make a new one up. I liked what they came up with.
They should make Galatea's lore the official Powergirl lore. Like, one of the main reasons they have an issue making Powergirl work in main line continuity is that her backstory depends on multiverse shenanigans. If they just went with something simple like "She is Supergirl's clone made by Cadmus" her origin would seem way less convoluted.

This character is the source of every unknown fate. Because they made Emil Hamilton betrayed Supergirl by lying they have disposed Galatea, and "assume" what happened to him in the final series.

It was never really confirmed one way or another, but given that Kryptonians and Argonians have an in-show history of recovering pretty quickly from near-death under a yellow sun, it's fairly likely that Galatea eventually survived.
I heard that it was once written on Wikipedia that Galatea ended up in recovery having to relearn basic motor functions. Since that statement is nowhere to be seen on Power Girl's Wiki page, though, I'm gonna assume that someone was just trying to spread rumors or even their own head canon.

She should have been tossed into the phantom zone. Solves everything. Also whatever happens to Dr. Hamilton. He betrayed supergirl and Superman because he let his fear control him and went down this path.
To be darn honest, cryptonian phisiologie combined with our sun makes for a perfect environement for her to heal , so yes, I am damn sure she survived that , BUT BEING ON WALLER'S SHIT LIST ...... that tends to have disastrous consequences .

Galatea's an underrated villain! It's too bad that she's underutilized in this show. Her rivalry with Supergirl reminds me of Sonic and Shadow's from the Sonic games (especially Sonic X). Except it's human female version, their rivalry is more antagonistic than competitive, Galatea was purposely meant to be Supergirl's faker, not to mention that Galatea is more eviler than Shadow and has no humane qualities if that makes sense here.

In this universe, There is no Kara Zor El, she died on Krypton. Kara In Ze was a native of its sister planet in this timeline, where Superman just happened to find another girl named Kara.

Electricity affects the muscles making it contract a lot (i think), so it doesn't matter how strong you are electricity will affect you (at least in this universe as we seen Superman being defeated by electricity)
electricity is one of those perfect plot devices as its an undefined level of energy that can range from harmless to limitless power and its been used against regular superman a few times as well to various effect...
Galatea may be a sexy female enemy to Supergirl but her powers are just too powerful to hurt Kara. : 0
Really wish Galatea would have came back as power girl on the good guys side. Though with everything she had done in this episode who knows.
