hey buddy.. you could use bread crumbs.. bread... make sure your giving it some time and leave it alone don't wait there and look at it... or at least not close... they scatter if there is movement... also make sure you get all the air out of the trap and that the trap does not move meaning make sure it is steady.... you keep working it and you will find your own rhythm... 2 feet by 1 foot.. the whole is about 8in.. but you just make it any size i have many sizes for different locations... just play around with the idea ....
Just be aware the opening can only be a circular shape 60mm in diameter. If the fisheries catch you, you'd receive a fine over a silly technicality. I made a similar container to this and there's another video where a couple of guys made the same perspex box, but they had to modify this to regulations in order to sell the product. I've been searched by the fisheries before. Trust me, I was one of those blokes who thought I'd never be checked but it does happen. I was lucky to receive a warning but ignorance is no longer an excuse people can use. Also make sure you have a tag attached to this box labelling, the suburb where you're from, date of birth and your name initials. All these details can be found online. It's such bullshit, but better safe than sorry. Fishing is no longer fun and easy as it used to be. Sucks balls.
vassilis Thegreek True, I'm not being anal. Just trying to help the fishing community. I was inspected by the NSW Fisheries in Australia. Lucky I had my fishing license and each fish were legal size. You neve know when you can get hit. Better safe than sorry.

these are saltwater mullet.. plexy glass, cut & put together not that hard..
