Hey everyone! The feedback on this video has been amazing. ⌛The group fight tips video is in the works! It will be a lot more complex.⌛
I will be picking random comments to show in the video. If you're funny, now is your time to shine.
I look forward to seeing you all there!
Great video
? Did the group fight video come out?
Bro just gotta say your voice sounds amazing
Take me under wing and teach me personally please
Number one strategy of how to be a god: Make a new account, smurf, and win every match and feel like a God.
The poor new comers
I just changed from PS5 to Xbox series x and since there is no cross progression I got into bot/new comers lobbies. I was a god but now I feel like trash. I now get bot lobbies or god lobbies and I'm still just a mid skilled player 😭😭😭😭
What I actually meant to say is that my skill level feels like it went down. I got good bc I got my ass destroyed and I learned from it. But know people don't know what they r doing so they become unpredictable and they fight differently than a skilled player
@@zivapet6365 dude, YES! It’s so funny when the newbs destroy me better than decent players do because like you said they are so unpredictable lol
Pathetic
Not only is this amazing for new players , but it also discourages scumbag behavior like light spamming or dodge attack spamming , making newer players actually play the game and get a decent skill level , as a rep 120 player that has been playing for almost 2 years I can say this is the PERFECT new player for honor guide
One big thing you forgot: stamina management.
In 6:46 you have just enough stamina left to do your chain bash. But you don't have enough left to feint into a guard break. If the LB were smart, he would've dodge bashed you and put you oos, knowing that there's nothing you can do about it, after that he would have a 50/50 with his unblockable that would most likely kill you.
Yes^ Good looking out👌🏼
This is why I love the comments
Stopped playing years ago and found myself struggling to get back on top. This is exactly the video I needed. Well done.
Quick tip 90% of the time openers (first swing into mix up) will be a light so knowing that just be quick on reaction an get that light parry. If they have a bash then you should be ready to dodge or expect light opener. Other than that you just gotta put time in an get brutally destroyed until you figure it out we’ve all been there it sucks lol also that you that Kensi conditioned into dodging after heavy
"Light opener" LMAO I'm using this term along with "light parry spam"
As a kensei main I’m guilty of this
You can’t reaction parry lights on old gen unfortunately….a tip/topic I wish people would discuss more. Old gen almost feels like a different game.
Obviously...:
1. Fully master your main character
2. Be able to read the enemy like a damn open book
3. Be able to be unpredictable and efficient
4. Be persistent and don't quit because of frequent mistakes
How about partying and blocking? I’m having trouble with those
@@stephencastrosc1 that comes with playing and getting experience with fighting the different characters and learning the time it takes for their specific attacks. Best advice is hop in duels or brawls and just pick a character to main, get good with them and learn how the others fight
@@PepsiSquad5133 I main kensei, my feints and combos are good i land them for the most part but when im defending I suck
@@stephencastrosc1if you know you can attack good I recommend getting in a fight ONLY to defend and counter attack. Try not to initiate the fight
@@x7NoaH7xD thanks bro I’ll take that advice and try it out with some friends! Do you still play?
These are actually really good tips for new players. This’ll help get into the groove of things a bit quicker
With over 500 hours in this and taking a 2 year break this was great refresher and best video I’ve seen for this game. Thank you 🙏
i always played for honor extremely casually and would pick it up and put it back down many times since its release but recently I took it up again and decided to be a little more serious and try to git gud, simple yet clear videos like this really help me out as ive been grinding trying to adjust to all the new characters, reworks, and feints and mixups/combos, hell even the terminology. Thanks alot man.
This was super helpful! I've watched a ton of guides but this one was by far the most efficient and easiest to understand. Having multiple examples for things like reads and effective feints was really cool! Thanks a ton
You're very welcome! I appreciate the feedback
Nice 👍
Thanks a LOT, it’s been a good few months since I watched this and now I’ve got quite a few reps on my heroes but I just wanted to drop in this message to say I couldn’t have done it without you. Very rarely do I find videos that I can feel actually improved my gameplay (to be fair though, my gameplay was very bad it wasn’t hard to improve), but this one was different. Thank you
Tip #22: Kensei’s will ALWAYS dodge heavy into light spam no matter what the situation. 🧠
I do not🥹
Unless you fight one that has a brain, which isnt the majority of kenseis i know
Why are you whispering tho
It probably night
ASMR
This is indeed helpful for the newer and older players.
And as a seasoned veteran with 1.5k under my belt even I learned something new.
Thank you, Awesome Video.
Imo this is the absolute most beginner friendly guide to For Honor that I've seen in my 5 years of playing. Great video m8
Great comment. Really appreciate it, thank you!
You know, I don't wanna be the best, I just wanna be good, so thanks a lot for showing me down the right path towards that. God bless ya, buddy.
I need more of this, because current trend in For Honor is people in a fight always stay silent and afraid to attack lately.
Because all their lights get parried. All their "ctrl + c, ctrl + v Leigon Kicks" get dodged. All their moves get interrupted.
And worst of all, they have the reading skills of a toddler and the self-control/restraint of one.
So it makes sense that they'd try to turtle up, even though that meta died years ago.
This was the most educational For Honor ASMR I've ever listened to
I really wish there was content like this for individual heroes. Every video I find is just saying what the characters moves are followed by raw gameplay. An in-depth guide of fundamental rules and options in general situations for each hero would be really cool.
I'm gonna have to watch a few more of your vids but I like how you actually explain things and break them down
The active demonstrations of feints and reads is very helpful
If like to say that it’s good to notice what way they throw after an attack. If they ex. Throw top attack then right or left attack over and over you can pretty much rule out that they going to do top attack twice.
This is especially useful against conq, aramusha and medjay who all have a infinite chain attack
cool video bro, im not a new player but interesting to see how other people might play i am a reactionary player most of the time but i might start trying to read. one thing ive noticed people do when vsing a light spammer is as soon as the light spammer moves their guard go for a parry because it will most of the time be a light
Great video! I look forward to seeig more of your work. I am a perpetual beginner because I keep coming to this game every couple of months and have to re-learn basically everything. Guides like this help a lot 🙂
Love this feedback! Haha there is something about this game that I think brings us all back. Glad you enjoyed it, hopefully my other ones will be as helpful!😬
A really great video.
Lots of valuable information, useful for both new and old players.
Your video was really well structured and straight to the point.
Keep up with the good work!
Really awesome feedback! Thank you for the words of encouragement👌🏼
I haven’t even played the game yet but for sure will now. Great video, dude!
thanks man i just started playing and this helped so much thank you and have a good one!
Brilliant vid man! On the off chance you read this, I’ve improved a lot since giving this vid a few watches and I’d consider myself ‘ok’ for my overalll rep (14, I started playing about a month ago). My only struggles I encounter is where I try parry/deflect a majority of the time (even during lights combos when it’s better to block) and ‘wind-up(???)’ heavies (which I parry/dodge too early on) which I’ll get noted down after more time. Love your stuff man, all the best for you!❤
Chrome by the way I love you're tips so much it's basic and it has lots things mentioned I think that practice will help me to become good at this because I can fully learn this from your tips and tricks because it's awesome to shine ourselves like golden just like you said it before in this video is practice or die like a bot I totally agree and appreciate your effort and your time thanks brother 😊😊❤
Great video man; had me cracking up and it makes me hate for honor a little bit less. You’ve earned my sub and like👍🏽
This was actually amazing. Pretty basic, but still good tips that everyone should know, and the script was excellent, didn't feel dragged or rushed imho. Kinda made me want to record something similar
Great feedback, thank you! Hopefully the following videos will be able to compete with this one.
Good bro 😊
Shame I can’t pause the duels to analyse his previous attacks and plan my move 😢
When I started I realized a few hours into the game they had different play styles so I decided to try to train against all of them to parry/dodge their attacks, thanks for the tips
Ngl bro this was a funny and informative video big W
great video explains everything for new for honor players and its simple to understand
Loved the video, useful and comedic
Man that's the first time to watch your content, you're hilarious and worth the subscribe 😂😂😂
Appreciate it, thank you👌
I haven’t played For Honor in years. I got it today on sale seeing more of my friends come back to it. I’ll be admittedly playing bots all day 😂😂 but I’ll be referencing this video while I do until I get better. Thanks for your information presented in a very good educational tone. As someone who does education in the flooring trades field I must say, you have a teachers voice. Thank you for this video, when I first picked up the game there where no videos like this.
I’m struggling to play with my friends because I feel like my skill level is horrific for their lobby’s like last game they all left after we lost and got off and I feel if I would have just been better they would have stayed on. I feel this is absolutely a video I needed
Very well done explaining the conq lb fight!
Great vid, definitely subbed💯
The format of the video is *chefs kiss*
What an astounding video! I have over 350 reps and I STILL learned something new. Thanks for the video, pal
Not a problem man! Glad you left with more than you came with👌🏼
@@Chr0meGaming much love, bro ❤️
@@chasebrumfiel1042 thanks brotha, needed that!
Damn , that was really good , thanks man👍
This is a lot of good advice, however, I would like to note that there may have been better choices for demonstrating the 'good 'defense' aspect of this video other than Conq. Again, this is not to diminish the overall solid advice. I would suggest using a character that doesn't have as many options as Conq does throughout his chain or for his openers. He is very safe to play offensively with due to his innate properties and how much damage he can get off with a fast, simply animated bash that also has a very fast recovery. As well as easy-access unblockables that force the opponent into moving without much risk to the Conq.
Personally, I think Warden, LB, Kensei or WL would have been a bit more effective in communicating those points due to their simpler, less protective kit, forcing the player (especially in a duel setting) to get creative with how they play and initiate/continue offense. These characters would also open up the floor to talk directly about how punishes work and what different kinds there are (wallsplat, knockdown, OOS, OOS knockdown, etc.).
It's good that you went into how reads work, maybe if you make another one of these tips videos for the reads section, you could talk about how even certain characters have specific patterns. Like how a lot of LBs with throw a top light as an opener or bash. Or Cents usually only doing a jump, kick, or getting close and throwing a light.
Overall, good video, by no means perfect, but it is definitely the start of something good. I'm looking forward to seeing more. :)
Very well said and no harm done. There’s definitely things I left out on purpose for the next video because it does get pretty complex if you’re new but, there’s also things I didn’t think about until you said something so I am thankful. I hope to see you in the next one!
Love your editing and humor style bro
I LIVE your tip 2.5 that’s exactly what I did, I just took it to another level and got rep eight with all heroes
I’m 2:22 minutes into the video and already liked and subbed. Dude is hilarious 😂………oh and yes to a group video please.
Don’t you worry, it’s coming. Thank you for the feedback👌🏼
How have I never seen this channel? It’s awesome yo!
Really appreciate that one, thank you!
Great video dude:)
I appreciate you dawg!
appreciate the tips I knew about all of them I jus sucked at reading nn your tips helped thank you
Great video man, this will be amazing for new players and a good review for old players. 👍 Good luck to everyone 🍀
That’s exactly what we like to hear! I appreciate the feedback👌🏼
Thank you for this!☺😆
Thank you for this 😎
Very helpful ty
thanks this really helped me!
Do work in class❌ watch how to get good at for honor✅
Hey! This popped up in my recommended. Even though im also a veteran player (i have around 1200hrs+) this guide is really well made. Super good information on how to read, how to counter spam and general good tips!
Just wanted to add that not every hero is designed to perform exceptionally well in every game mode.
Picking your hero is also very important and team composition is really important too, especially in dominion and breach modes. You can't have a team full of duelists and expect to win against 2 shugokis and 2 raiders. Obviously you can, but what im trying to say is that there are heroes who specialize in ganking and have amazing ganking tools and there are heroes who are better in 1v1's and you should pick a hero that is more proper for the type of game mode you're playing.
Heroes that are good for dominion and breach usually have big attack hitboxes, good feats, hyper armor and a lot of health.
Heroes that are better for 1v1's usually have a lot of mixups, fast lights and bash mixups.
Unless you're repping up a specific character, then by all means go ahead and grind those armor sets!

hey just got into the game bc my bro wanted me to play so i said alright. Thanks sm for the tips i hope it helps me in game but i learnt a lot
I’ve been playing for a while but I feel like I need to learn more strategies. I usually spend hours in training
you still play ?
group fights at start of your video was awesome to watch, should have tips on group fights
Your voice gives me comfort
Even with 1000 hours on this game, I still found this video helpful
LOVE IT
Sometimes intentionally throwing an unpredictable attack can catch them. I play kyoshin sometimes and I go into Kaze then go out of it into zone catches a lot of opponents because when have you seen a kyoshin bait his Kaze
Perfect guide
As late as i am, i just got the game yesterday, and i wanna get the foundations down. Can't wait to get into it. More importantly, thank you for the guide, and i would be down for some gaming if you still play or if anyone wants to play!
I HIGHLY recommend you play against level 2 and 3 AI in the training grounds as a beginner. The AI is quite accurate to players you'll be fighting. (If that's too difficult, practice light parries and parries in general)
Loved this video
Well done.
Glad you did! Thank you 🙏🏼
Well deserved like and sub for u!
We need a guide for more experienced players on how to anti gang.
It’s in the works right now! There’s a lot of stuff I want to cover!
Big Up!
You deserve a lot more subs this was great
I’m glad you enjoyed it thanks for the motivation👌🏼
Tip number 3 is the biggest thing I try to drive home with every new player I help out. Sadly most of them don't want to listen and then they get mad and Uninstall :/
Bro your voice is so calming! Just earnt a sub!
Asmr for the win. Thanks for the sub!
thanks for the tips
Remember to dodge towards your right during enemy Xiaolin sweep. The sweep can and will catch you if you dodge to your left.
I did not know dis
You can dodge either way, the amount of I-frames does not change.
That’s some bullshit, I’ve been playing for years now and no matter where I dodge I can still gaurdbreak after a missed sweep.
I only have 1 issue with this, and it was your first point. The game is becoming more about reading than reacting. If you play based on reaction, you’re going to end up eating a lot of attacks. All of the most recent buffs and new heros also make it much harder to play reaction based. You gotta find the sweet spot in the middle where you react when needed and read when needed. Everything else is great, good advice for new or returning players. Well done 😄
True but if you’re the type of gamer that adapts as they play then it’s easier to work with it
The game is very slowly becoming more read based which is great but still at the highest levels many characters are fully reactable
Such a relaxing voice. And good advice.
You should say that to my kids. They would think the opposite lol
I just recently got the game to play with my brothers and know nothing about it. this video helped me grasp the fundamentals thanks man! 💯
I’m 6 months in
Lol it’s only day 2 for me
You have a great voice for this. Great vid, keep it up
Haha thanks, I will🙏🏼
bro ur voice is so soothing can u tell me a bed time story
I have at least a couple thousand hours in For Honor, and I found this slightly humorous. I already know all this and saw it because it was in my recommended, but I do believe it is all helpful.
This helped me a lot thanks
Not a problem! You're welcome.
Very interesting video, if I may ask what are your in game keybing with your controller? It could be very appreciated if you would share it with us please, I am back playing now on ps4 and I feel not very comfortable with the default keybind and I'd like to see what are the one of a professional.
Thanks a lot for your help
Thx king
Secret tip for the PC players, look after your physical and mental well-being (console players can do this too ig...)
Take a quick break to play a high reaction intensity game (osu, aim trainer’s, reflex games)
Put some practice into learning animations and shit
And then just react to more or less everything the opponent does (in duels) and win
Commenting for algorithm, great vid!
Means a lot! Thank you!
also got ~1600 hours and can confirm these are some good tips. nice video :D
Haha thank you!
Thanks you !!!!!
Much enjoyed video
Appreciate it, thank you!
Dude you are one of the best teaching UA-camrs I’ve seen. You articulate thoughts extremely well and are able to explain a scenario that tailors to 3 different learning biases. Impressive.
Hey I have a question should I dodge or parry as an aramusha as I usually use the all block I'm new and trying to improve
Very good explanations and chilled voice.
Deserved sub✅
Deserved Bell Notification✅
I don’t feel worthy lol thank you🙏🏼
nice vid!
Thank you! I hope it helped!
I must say. a good tip would be: Coming back to this video from time to time. to improve slowly and watching the explanations to see what one did wrong. :)
Thanks for the tips. I'm just coming back to for honor after like 2 years and have been getting trashed.
Your voice is like a kiai, a sweet kiai that slowly drains my stamina while I'm in a comfy bed
I'm happy to see that there is more and more content creation about For Honor, keep it up the video was good and I will definetly watch out for the next one
Haha I love it! Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it. Looking forward to seeing you around.
Just redownloaded the game after at least 2 years. After 10 matches I finally faced a character I recognized. Time to brush up
