One tip I can give (rep *41 BP main): when fighting Hitokiri you can light while he's charging his unblockable heavy, then fast-flow into bulwark and counter the fully charged heavy. It nets you 36 dmg and is a very funny way to straight up "No u" a single character. You can also do it with other hyperarmor'ed attacks, but timing is more strict. EDIT: More tips! Fast flow, as mentioned above is extremely useful, and allows BP to flip the dodge attacks inputed on attack indicator by flowing into Bulwark and flipping Bulwark Slash is, well, a good dodge catch since it has a tighter dodge timing than bash - and it cannot be deflected. I catch people dodging the bash only for me to use the UB - they eat it. But doing a Bulwark slash will result in either getting parried, or being lighted out of it. Make sure to vary your chain attacks;however most dodge attacks (with the exception of JJ's and Warmonger's) are guaranteed; but if your opponent delays the attack too much, there's a posibility you will be able to block, and only suffer chip damage. The chargable bashes (Warden, Warmonger etc.) if you dodge early enough and they commit to a fully charged bash, you are able to flip that. Keep in mind the timing is somewhat strict, but can save you from eating a heavy. Now... Go out there and teach them TRUE DAHKNESS!
When I'm trying to face them I feel like I can't do anything to stop the counter but I'm also unable to close the distance to guardbreak without getting hit, so how do i stop the counter?
I am, to this day, a proud 70 BP. I've gotten to the point where I deliberately handicap myself by limiting shield bashes so I don't stomp people. One thing I will say though, if you want to make a BP's life horrible, just stare at him (in all of my experience it has almost always caught me off guard and made me stumble to bring up an offense rather than relying on a counter-attack defense).

Very good video, Marco! I watched your Bp Elden ring one and put it to the test and it is FANTASTIC. But I did notice one thing you forgot to mention in the punishes part of this video. Whichever direction their guard is in when throwing an opponent that’s oos or you’re in revenge, it has to stay there when you throw the light. BUT! You can do a finisher top heavy for a few more points of damage if the timing is right. Still, very good video and brings a lot of nostalgia of me learning this character back when I was first playing him. Well done

you forgot he cannot flip nuxia traps, nuxia traps used to just leave you both staring at each other for 3 seconds, now nuxia traps work against bp flip.

BP is the Caustic of For Honor for me and not because they’re similar (cause they’re not) but because of my relationship with them and that is “you could not live with your own failure and where did that bring you? Back to me.”
With the right perks and feat set up he's also the best support character in the game my BP is almost rep 50. I use bastion, feline agility and bulk up. Bulk up raises your max hp every feat you gain freeing up tough as nails from your third feat slot, i replace it with Oathbreaker. Bastion increases survivability in zones and due to increased survivability it's safer to use sinister shield to help your teammates build revenge. Also healing ward applies outside of combat, even in friendly zones so you can heal back the health you sacrificed to shield your bro twice as fast. Morale booster is also way better then umbral shield especially if your shielding teammates with sinister properly.
to anybody who is trying to pick up any character in general and is relatively new to the game, its all about practice. you can watch this video and even though you have the knowledge of BP's kit and playstyle you wont get any better at playing the character with that info alone. Watching the video will simply give you a grasp of what you are practicing towards

I seriously don't get what the devs were thinking when they gave that feat the ok. Revenge is already hard enough to make work, so what do they do? Add a feat that deletes your revenge shield, of course!

I feel like the reason black prior doesn't lose stamina is because he rests his shield on the ground because it's so big (average sized) intact ingame you can see him doing that if you don't move and IRL it's often seen done in comps

Cuz Valk's is not a deflect - it's superior dodge. While they do work similarly to deflects, but on non-assassin heroes, and they're just straight up better
I really love how everybody speaks well of bp but hardly anybody plays him. Srsly that flip is the hardest full block punish to land in the whole game and god it is so predictable and not that big of a reward. In search of a heavy shield character i had way more succes with pre rework conq's uppercuts/wallsplats from bash and og warlord with his h armor and heavy from full block..

My guess as to why Bulwark doesn't drain stamina is that his shield being a Kite shield is large enough to rest on the ground.

Bp is just so fun, as i slow walk towards my enemies knowing they will in fact get bullworked and eat a top heavy to the teeth
Combine Bulk Up and Tough as Nails, now you’re a walking tank with Self-Heal and Giving invulnerability.
BP can also flip Shinobi’s scythe toss. I did it and couldn’t stop laughing.
You can jog when using regenerate. Unless ubi nerfed a feat that was already rarely used.
