Interesting to see the lack of AP on the squig and dynamite. Much much worse into elite teams which kinda stinks, but more dice to roll to fish for Dakka Dakka Dakka. Overall liking the changes.
Wow, quite a lot of changes I love the decision to make the generic troops having some use (even tho it will mean having to buy a 2nd box for most people) For the team itself, I'm curious how will they develop, the snipa that was a must take might get shelved to get some basic boyz, I need to run the math on the skorcha (but still looks meh sadly) and the breacha looks fun as hell for closed maps I cant wait to see the changes to my other teams (LoV salvagers and chaos cultists)
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames I think I will have 3 basic boys and change the team depending on the oponent, the stun removing APLs + obscuring can be good And as said, I think the snipa with the nerfs (limited silent shooting, also the weapon being heavy) makes them less interesting Gotta accept, while 1 box built all the specialist is a good option, if you can afford a 2º box some basic boys just in case will be neat
@@ismael9914 The Snipa was MVP most of my games so far with them. Also, more than 2/3rds of snipers now trade silent for Concealed positions. I doubt we’ll see too many in the edition. The Scout and Corsair are the two that seem to keep silent all the time.
Boy, this feels like a massive nerf to the team. RIP, I loved playing my kommandos, looks very hosed and boring now specially compared to the other stuff that got buffs or at least cool positive changes. The sniper changes, in particular, are very nasty :/
Honestly the upgrade to Boyz having free grenades and the ability for the team to stealth and charge everywhere is a huge team wide upgrade. The once per round Hookshot coming from anyone is a huge deal too and can make for a huge damage surprise at range. Frankly the sniper only getting a single round of silent hasn’t stopped him from still being MVP in my games. There’s so much pressure coming in from advancing melee (and even your gunners have Choppas now from team equipment) it’s frankly barely registered that he can’t stay invisible forever.
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames The thing that bothers me most on the sniper is the heavy on everything. In a game with 4 turns, having to switch between just positioning and doing nothing, or maybe by change having a shot by not moving, seems like very wasteful, just better to not bring the dude at all, since he only have stuff with heavy and fists... The silent part isn't even the problem for me (before it was a bit niche with the 2AP too). I would be ok if he could shoot normally without heavy, or even if it was a heavy (reposition), but as it is now, looks very disappointing and unecessary to me :/ I liked the extra seasoning on the boys, although stun and specially smoke seems very niche from my understanding, but its nice nonetheless, and the new profile on the Breacha looks cool, i was kinda disappointed on him before. But losing ANY form of AP, specially the nerfed dynamite, the loss of relentless for ceaseless, the huge loss on mobility without the climbing ropes and sneaky git, i dunno... maybe i'm not seeing something there but i feels very hosed and toned down to me. Of course, i understand the team is kinda very strong on KT 2021, but this seemed a little bit excessive on the nerfs. The team was already able to charge on conceal before right, or was there a change about it that i missed? Well, in the end, i guess only play will definitelly tell me how the team goes, i'm just a bit dreadful here. I trust you played some games with them, yeah? I would be glad to hear more about how it was :D

The only real advice I think is to build your Boyz mostly for melee as it leans into their faction traits!

I still can’t see myself taking them over any of the specialists, but being able to charge concealed and free grenades is a huge value add to them.
