- I have officially discovered that Zeno is my favorite dragon! Or, well, maybe he and Shin-ah are tied. I'm not quite sure yet... But keep a look out for new videos on this channel, because I will eventually be making a second AMV featuring Zeno and Kaya!

The fact that in that battle Zeno felt more pain from losing his friends... no his brothers... than the literal swords in his back makes me want to cry... because he didn’t cry because of his physical pain he cried from emotional pain
Does anyone remember what Zeno said to Yona the first time she met him?
"Don't worry miss, all living things will make their way back to heaven eventually."
When yona was praying thanks to the deer. Was Zeno lying because he could never die? Or does he still have hope that he will one day reunite with those he loved and passed on?
Either way, it's so sad. Life is such a gift. To see a newborn baby be brought into tbe world and creating new life, to see a beautiful blooming flower in spring, to see animals and their young, making the most of a life that may go by within a blink of an eye. Yet, Zeno was cursed with everlasting life. The problem is not that he is running out of time, but he will never run out of time...while all he loves and cherishes fades away withthe past.
He, will always feel alone. No matter how much love is given to him, he knows it will soon fade away with the passing of time...Thank you for reading 2018.
He says it in the ova too he said everything comes learns and goes back but he can never return because his body wont fade

He also said ,that he waits till the time he gets his happiness and his brothers (from the 1st generation) said ,that they someday will reunited in heaven - so I’m sure when the world changes and the dragons can’t(/don’t need to be)reborn again, then Zeno also will return to heaven somehow. I think after this timeline the world will be modern like ours in real life. And everything which happened in the past will be history. Maybe this generation is also the last one.
I think the only way to kill Zeno is to behead him... his head would have to come completely off.. I think

My sister got me to watch this anime, saying each of the characters are lovable and you feel really bad for their fate.
White's backstory was really sad, since it made his personality distorted. Blue's was nothing but crushing loneliness. Green managed to stay upright and defiant, but was always afraid of the curse.
But Yellow's story is by far the most horrid and depressing. I wouldn't wish eternity on anyone who couldn't take it.
I dont know anyone who COULD take eternity like that. Humans can only take so much - and i would be terrified of anyone who could.
To think that Zeno wait thousand of years to reunited again with the other dragons... I'm so happy to saw him smiling
The story of four dragons with this music has a completely different atmosphere.

Honestly for me you could put up the most adorable upbeat music and only show the positive scenes and I'd *_STILL_* be sobbing like a little baby because I just empathize with Zeno so strongly that so much as seeing him happy all those years ago knowing that it wouldn't last...just makes me want to cry...
It is heartwreching that somebody who is so amazing has suffer so much. The phrase, "the saddest people smile the brightest truly apply to him". He had the purest reason when he chose to drink the dragon blood, yet he suffered because of it. He has the saddest, most tragic and heartbreaking story out of any anime character I have read or watch in all this time. Nobody can match him, because they eventually die or have companion who can live as much as they can.
Have you seen Naruto, kurama is a thousand years old, and his story is the most tragic story I've ever heard.

When you first meet yellow dragon, honestly I thought he was kinda lame. Like "wow they are just gonna throw him in and that's it?!" But then I saw the OVAs and my heart was like 'sob'. I feel so bad for himT-T

Actually he was always following them from the beginning, he just wanted to see if Yona was fit to have the 4 dragons as king Hiryuu. He also wanted her to get stronger, and she did. So he pretty much followed her and Hak all across Kouka XD
Locasaly But when kija (I think that was the name of the white dragon) joined them, shouldn’t he sensed zenos presence?
Zeno seems to be the weakest in combat among the other dragons but he is still the strongest among them when he is attacked. The more physical injuries he gets, the stronger he becomes that he can have the other dragon's ability (except Blue Dragon's ability).
Not only in combat, but he is the strongest overall: physical, mental, emotional. He handled all the pain so well. Even though it's a curse to live in eternity, those are what immortality taught him.
I saw the manga (currently the latest chapter is 250) but he's still so mysterious.

He can also get the blue dragon's ability, if he get injured in his eyes he qould be able to see for miles away just like shin-ah does
@@d_i_123 no. I read the manga. Jaeha asked him about it. Zeno replied that he once tried gouging out his eyes but did not have the blue dragon's ability. He only ended up having his eyes a lot sturdier.

Zeno is seriously such an incredibly written character. I've read the entire manga (at least all that's out right now), and he's probably my favorite character. The fact that we weren't able to get to see really any of his journey with the group is probably one of the things that makes me saddest about the anime going on hiatus. The OVAs did a great job laying the foundation, but people who only know him from the anime are missing so freaking much, man :(

I just finished the OVA episodes....and it just now hit me....I don't want this anime to be over, it needs a season two, no matter what, this anime was what I needed, GOD IT HURTS WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE OVER FOR NOW AT LEAST HOPEFULLY.

yeah I felt like he needed someone like him to keep him company and ended up making my OCs his older sisters who are 1. pretty much immortal and can only die if stabbed in the heart or something. 2. are reborn with all their memories so he's not always alone.

Exactly my OCs were promoted. They were originally just Yona's childhood friends (which works out really well since they're always princesses) then when my mom told me about Zeno (it was the first day I watched it and we were only on episode five) I felt bad for him but she did a pretty terrible job of describing so when I had a virus and was waiting in the car for my mom (who had gone to buy some ginger ale) and I stumbled upon a picture of him wearing a cat mask my heart melted with how adorable he was. I looked up some AMVs of him and this is one of the first ones I saw. My heart broke in two when I saw everything that happened to him and in a matter of seconds I had already changed EVERYTHING about my OCs backgrounds. and apparently my brain decided "Oh hey let's make your OCs die not once but twice! The first time they die is while Zeno was trying to get Abi to safety. They shield Zeno [they know about his powers but still don't want him to get hurt] and get hit in the heart and die smiling, crying, wiping tears from Zeno's eyes, and their last words are "Sorry looks like we are not going to be able to protect you for a while. But do not worry we will be reborn we will not leave you alone forever." before disappearing into flecks of light. The second time is after all the dragons die because yet again they were shielding him. The same thing happens except this time their last words are "Sorry looks like we are going to have to leave you alone again." and Zeno crying. what the heck brain why?! Then my brain decides "Oh they also die eighteen years before the story takes place and are separated from each other for those eighteen years until Yona and the others meet him!" I REALLY hate my brain right now. Anyways after that 1. they become dragon warriors (purple and pink) 2. they keep a VERY close eye on Zeno (while everyone wonders why they keep in hugging him, squealling, fangirling like idiots, and talking about how adorable a guy they just met is since Zeno didn't want to tell them about his past so they didn't tell them about being his sisters)...yeah
he really deserves all the happiness in the world, his story always breaks my heart :(

I just saw this now but thank you so much for the amazingly kind comment. I appreciate you taking the time to write something so sweet and thoughtful! I was searching for a song that would fit Zeno for such a long time with no success, and this song just popped up in my recommended one day when I least expected it. I cried the first time I heard it and knew I had to make an AMV. It's by no means perfect, but I'm overjoyed that you and so many others have experienced some of the same emotions I had while making this.
Just rewatching & listening to this over & over makes me so impatient for the end of Yona of the Dawn's manga. I want Zeno to be able to go to heaven & reunite with King Hiryuu, Guen, Shuten, Abi, & Kaya! Zeno is my favorite character & is one of my top fav characters in anime history. I know it's cruel to say that I want him to finally die, but his reunion with them will be so tearful that I really hope Kusanagi-san gives us that at least!!!

No matter how many times I read it, watch it or even think about it, Zeno's story always makes me cry. Even if we don't have eternal life like him, in our short lives that we live, we suffer the pain of loved ones leaving us and finding new loved ones. Which is why I can understand how he feels to an extent and relate to him. Hence I always fucking cry, this song just enhanced the emotions. Damn you and Love you for making this.

I absolutely love your editing!!! Except for those 180 turns, the juxtaposition between the original dragons and the new ones just shows that no one ever truly dies. They were passed down, generation through generation and turned up to be these four dragons that are so similar yet so different. Yet to Zeno, it has brought him great and terrible sadness. At the very end, i seriously teared up!! Thank you thank you!!

Watching the original blue dragon break and seeing shin-ah afterwards broke my heart so much. They were so gentle and were treated horribly. Zeno has it worse but dammit if it breaks me to see such pure people destroyed.

I feel bad for Zeno because he was the first yellow dragon "vessel" I guess and because the yellow dragon is ( I can't remember if the actual yellow dragon is immortal or if he can't take damage) but Zeno was the first and will be the only yellow dragon "vessel" because he's immortal and I feel so bad form him because he lived while all the other dragons died and I personally think Zeno has one of if not the saddest backstory out of all the dragons it's even sadder than the blue dragons ( sorry I forgot his name) backstory.

From the moment i saw this anime and especially the OVA this character is my top favorite from all the anime i have ever seen!!! his story is hella heartbroking....such a pure soul to suffer like this!!! those eyes...that smile...that warm aura...and still hides sooo many emotions and pain!!!! and that, that makes me even sadder is that the story is gonna repeat again...even tho now he reunited with his king (now queen) and his " brothers" the time will come to see them again leave T^T...unless the yellow dragon decide to release him......your video is super amazing!!! im crying everytime i watch this!! and this song suits so perfect!!! Point is Yona and Soo-Won are both of royal blood that’s why both of them together represent king Hiryuu, Yona has his hair and his eye colour while Soo-Won has his personality and face, also in the manga Kija and the four dragons once said that looking at Yona and Soo-Won feels like they are starring at King Hiryuu himself.
