Ummm...thanks for help but on question six I think the answer is A. You have both descriptions listed as 45391 for diagnosis. But 45392 is the correct answer. Am I wrong?🤔

Sir I want to use this moment to thank you for all your tutorials, I just passed my CPC exams, I encounter most of your case study, put there is one of your case study they twisted in the exam that I nearly loss, if you could remember on E/M critical care, blood gasses and gastrointubation has been bundled in critical care code, but in their question, they said the provider state that the time spent on blood gasses and gastrointubation is not included in the critical care time. Please sir am lost on that, put me through in case I encounter it during interview or in a real life coding, should I code blood gasses and gastrointubation with critical care code?

I think you might have a typo on your question #1 answer. It should be 36430 Transfusion, blood or blood components. Not 64430.

Do you advise to take some courses like Healthcare Information systems, Medical Law and Ethics for CCS exam besides required courses? Thank you
Hi Trang. The multiple choice questions on all coding exams are very similar in term of testing you on the ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines. However, on the CCS exam, the last part is related to inpatient cases so you have to know about the PCS codes and DRG. If you plan to take the RHIT or RHIA exam then you need to take Medical Law and Ethics, Healthcare Information systems etc.; otherwise, you do not need to take those course for the CCS exam, just focus on coding. I hope it helps.

Hi Zeena. I am sorry to hear that you didn't pass the exam last week but I believe you will be fine next year. If you don't want to buy a new book for 2022 then you should google or search on youtube and find out what codes are new in 2022 and take notes. I hope it helps

How much do they charge you for the CCS training? did you have any coding experience. how long is the course? I hope that your instructor is currently working in the hospital either coding or validating inpatient records so that you can learn from him or her. Good luck!
Hi Hoang thank you so much for your response! I found out that the program is 17000.. I know there are cheaper ways to get it but I need alot of help. I have no coding experience I ended up starting!! And with Financial Aid, Im only gonna owe 6227 dollars once I graduate.. plus they offer a intern or externship to get me some experience before I can actually get a position..The program is a year long they teach Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Medical Terminoloy Etc and they offer tutoring plus 3 weeks of CCS test Simulations prior to taking the actual test.. Thanks for the good luck I see its complex and your videos are VERY VERY HELPFUL!

When we take the test which books will we need I know I just started but I am excited Is it ICD -10 CM or ICD-10 PCS?
Gosh this lesson was hard just because the difference between the codes are so small also the name of the condition or procedure in the question is different than the name of the same condition or procedure in the the answer. So it’s the same procedure or condition but has two slightly different names if I’m understanding it correct. Please can you do more of these hard questions? I got the first four questions wrong. But I’m slowly learning more. I hope the test questions contain a variety of hard and easy questions.

Yes. I believe so although they always recommend you use the new books.

I was wondering the same thing! AAPC website says you can use 2021 books but you will be “at an obvious disadvantage”. Then why do they give you the option!

Hi Jane. Write A,B,C,D on a piece of paper with its first code and follow my steps. You can highlight ICD-10-CM and CPT codes in your books. I hope it helps.
