Congratulations, that is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. You should get it to play the classic Batman theme or the Dark Knight theme when the secret entrance opens.
You ever get that feeling when you see the most amazing thing ever, then you get really sad because you'll never have anything nearly that cool? Yeah, that...
WOW!!!!! WOW!!!!! Though it would have been more enjoyable with some batman themed music in background, I love what you did! WOW!!!! One question, why do you have your two subwoofers stacked? Wouldn't it be better better to have one on the left and one on the righ?
@Deltaleader36 I assume you're talking about the rocks...I purchased eps styrofoam and hot carving tools to carve it. We spent 3-4 man days to carve it and paint it. The paint it textured valspar with extra sand and a reinforcing agent sprayed through a drywall hopper...
If I could get some money saved up, I would so want you to build me a room like this. I'm a giant Batman fan as well. I would just like to have a secret room/batcave like this. Nice job man!
@BedfordMarcus I didn't really keep a running tab of materials and some friends and I did all the work. If I had to guess I'd say about 6-7k in materials and 40-45k in theater equipment, seating, plasma tvs in the rec area...Thanks for looking!
@cade blade I don't really feel comfortable publishing real numbers, but let me just say, I did most of the work and purchased all the equipment through my A/V business. So I saved ALOT of money. Only friends and family have seen it in person.
ok im watching the first part of it and im like oh please dont tell me you call this a bat cave. then you press button, door opens, and im like holy shit thats awesome
@sguitar1442 Yes I did, but I didn't start out with all the ideas that were implemented. The room continued to evolve during construction, even now I still have small things I'd like to modify and add.
@batboy159 I sketched the design out on paper and then submitted them to a guy in California that works with acrylics, about 4 weeks later, that's what I got back...
@Xyberfaust I'm in the Paintless Dent Repair business which provides a decent income, but I also moonlight doing home theaters. I use that additional income to buy toys...
@continentallax Yes, well most of it, I didn't finish the drywall or install the carpeting. Some friends and I can take most of the credit...thanks for the comments.
@Batman837 this video was posted on my 10th birthday. Btw your batcave is really cool and I like the theater because it makes it fun for your whole birthday. You rock. And u are kind of a role model for me.
@kj123085 I did all of the work except drywall finishing and flooring...I have no idea what you'd have to pay a contractor, plus all the electronics...100k+?
