*I have had the **Newest.Technology** system since they were initially released (over 2 years). I love the ease of use and they work well. Batteries last a long time too. I have added cameras as needed. I love the 2 way communication with this one.*

We’ve only had the cameras up and running for a short time. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe So far we love them! I got the outdoor mounting kit for them and they were easy to install. Once you download the app, it walks you through the very easy set up. The clarity, and range is awesome. I am thinking seriously about adding another camera or two to my 3 camera system. The price is lower than a lot of comparable systems.

Unless specifically required, just use turrets/bullets and not domes. IR reflection/spider webs frome domes is probably the most common issue in this industry.

    • @TurkeyTits
      @TurkeyTits Рік тому +2

Turret cameras tend to work the best overall. You get a good field of view while still being able to zoom in on details with good clarity. The turret cameras are sturdy and easy to install. They have indoor and outdoor turret cameras to fit the specific needs. Dome cameras are great and have the biggest field of view of all 3 camera styles, and bullet cameras can zoom in with great clarity and depth.

I disagree about the wrapping the waterproof connectors with tape after they are connected, the tape will eventually loosen up due to weather, and the bottom part of the tape when wrapped around the connecter..... acts like a cup, holding a tiny bit of water, if this is in a pole or somewhere it cant evaporate, it can hold water up against the waterproof connector for longer periods of time than you would like ;)
The waterproof connectors are sufficient for use as they come out of the bag. And you dont want it lookin like it was connected by a bunch of yahoos.
Also, when screwing in your torque bit t-20 security screws... (1:27)...do keep the driver bit inside the screw head, this prevents stripping the screw out, (this part of the video is another perfect example of poor technique).
Also, if you absolutely must tape it (which you shouldnt) do a much better job than in this video (such as at 4:42). This tape job is a great example of what not to do, when wrapping with electrical tape you should do it tightly, and evenly, to prevent leakage and loosening. Very poor job in this video.
The poor job is probobly due to the crappy gloves....
Also: Do not ever wear gloves like this when working with low voltage connections and RJ45's, (at 4:40 and on) pieces of cotton can get stuck in the connectors and make it not connect right. You will look silly and these gloves look like a whole sheep was slaughtered and they are knitted poorly, the sweat shop in which they were made should be ashamed for inferior craftsmanship.
    SMH...the gloves....
These camera mistakes shoudnt even be listed in order of importance.
How about mentioning that there is a limit to the data-flow depending on which model NVR you select and you must ocassionally adjust the bitrate?
Or adjusting the framerates for better overall performance?
    Checking the DNS.
    IP Addressing.
Or the fact that your descriptions are misleading sometimes and must be decoded with a quantum computer.
Or the fact that selecting hikvision in the first place is a common mistake because its blacklisted in the United States for possibly SPYING ON THE END USERS whom the INTEGRATORS INSTALL FOR.
Or the fact that shenzen shanghai fengshui all the companies steal each others interfaces and all cameras that come from that area have the exact same web interfaces and it can get confusing sometimes, or perhaps....why this is ;)
    just sayin.
You have failed HIKVISION, once again. Your tactics are inferior. Your philosophy....generic......your technology, unimpressive..........and your videos.........good lord.
And this is hikvision CORPORATE channel?
    DR EVIL VOICE: *"rrrrriiiiiiiiggggghhhhhh-t......."*
    :P

      Hello, Zac.
Yours is the first comment here, and I'm glad I found it straight away after watching this video.
To my practical mind, you make a lot of sense and have given some good sound advice.
I had two Hik cameras fitted in mid-July this year (2021) with a DVR, and had a bad time with the installation company for the following three months, calling them back time and time again, until they finally refitted the whole lot with the correct cable (the first fitting was inferior cable).
I'm 70, live alone, and have always been a very practical and DIY sort of woman. I've lived in this small block of four flats for over 14 years without any problems but, two years ago, the landlord rented the flat above me to a couple who are drug users and well-known criminals by the police (UK). Although I'm 5'10" and reasonably fit, I've had to have CCTV fitted here for my own safety, as well as being able to record proof of the hell I've been going through.
I've never had CCTV before, nor am I technically-minded. However, having taught myself how to use the internet since 2013, and with previously basic PC skills, learning how to use my CCTV hasn't been difficult.
I'd like to ask you a question, if I may, although I don't expect you to get back to me if you don't want to.....
........ I had a small surplus DELL monitor available, so had it attached to the DVR, then had a wired connection from the DVR attached to my PC so that I could store sections of video when required (I still haven't managed to find out how to do that yet 🥴). The first thing I noticed on my PC was the HTTP prefix (instead of HTTPS) and my PC warns me that it's an unsafe site. Also, my virus protection programme (Malwarebytes) didn't like it, either, so I've had to override both of those to be able to use it on my PC. I feel very vulnerable and exposed because of this.
Is there any way that I could possibly safeguard my PC, or change the programme to HTTPS???
Like I've said, there's no need to get back to me if it doesn't suit you, or if you don't know the answer to my query.
I wish you well for 2022, wherever you are. Many thanks for reading this 😉😊Peace⚖

    Mistake Number 1
Installing a camera system in the first place...you're far better off installing a high tech alarm system with battery backup...

    • @zac2877
      @zac2877 3 роки тому +2

Negative, for insurance purposes its better to see what happens, what gets broken, who breaks it, in the event they ever get caught it helps with the insurance companies being able to see everything done. Also cameras serve a dual purpose, just like the alarm with security they help keep bad guys away, but in the event something happens, an emergency, property damage, etc.......the insurance companies sometimes wont pay up without seeing contact being made.
The camera just being present on a building also sometimes serves as a deterrent. Time to go to the next parking garage you know, (the one without cameras)
Put your camera system on a battery backup.
If you misplace your keys or your phone, you can always check the footage. Alarm system cant do that.
You can also tie camera system into an alarm panel and have it where if a LINE gets crossed on the screen and motion is detected in the ROI......it will trigger the relay and set off the alarm. This can be set up on schedules just like the alarm system.
      The possiblities are endless ;)
They break in, alarm goes off, they steal stuff. Its better to have footage of exactly what was done, what was stolen, who did it, how many people there were, nationality, clothing, build......and if you placed your cameras right......
Their license plates ;) that is if they arent using paper plates. Criminals in organized crime strike multiple locations, if more than 2 of them have cameras they can start to piece together more information.
Cameras are ALWAYS a good idea, EVERYWHERE. Keeping honest people honest.
      ;p

It's probably they use your office wifi search anything related to that product. That's why. Try turn off do not track feature on your browser might help...
BTW hikvision is partnered with ccp for sure. Better stop using it pal

To solve all these issues you can use a better brand. Poor design on cable management and warranty voided their suggestion is to replace the camera, best is to replace it with a better brand.
