- Uniqlo T-shirts are the not-so-secret fashion weapon of creative types. And at under 20 bucks, they’re cheap enough to buy in bulk. Mickey Pangilinan, an art director at Apple, is a fan of Uniqlo U crew neck T-shirts because of their “weighty material and nice texture.” He likes that the fit is “a little bit boxy at the shoulders but not long on the waist.” Additionally, Black recommends Uniqlo’s Supima cotton crew neck T-shirts for the kind of man who works in a creative field and mostly wears jeans to work.
Gildan Men’s Crew T-Shirt Multipack
When shopping for himself, Black prefers Gildan six-packs because he can wear them “without concern until they need to be disposed of and just order more,” he says. “They look good under a hooded sweatshirt, a cardigan, or even a suit.” Gildan T-shirts also came up in our piece about the best men’s black T-shirts. They were recommended by Jon Caramanica, pop critic and men’s Critical Shopper columnist for the New York Times, who appreciates that the Canadian tees are “durable, cut wide, but not in any way boxy” and feature what he calls “an unflappable crew neck.” Caramanica’s favorite thing about Gildans black T-shirt also applies to the white version: “Run it through the wash a couple of times and the personality begins to emerge,” he says.
J.Crew Garment-dyed slub cotton crewneck T-shirt
Writer and editor John Lockett says that his favorite white T-shirt from J.Crew “checks all the boxes: loungy with that lived-in feel, yet stylish and refined enough to stand on its own (and in public), and not crazy expensive.” Lockett also notes that this garment-dyed tee isn’t blindingly white, so it works well with everything in his closet and for pretty much any occasion.

Velva Sheen tees have a similar weight, feel, and price to the tees from Front General Store. “These shirts give me enough room to move without looking like I’m wearing a poncho,” says Rohan Nadkarni, Staff Writer at Sports Illustrated. Nadkarni says these T-shirts are cut more generously than the Reigning Champ tees mentioned above, but not in an obvious way. Also, as Nadkarni puts it, “their slightest bit of sheen makes them look like a small-but-important step up.”

If the t shirt is found in the lounge or sleepwear section...they are usually strictly an undershirt...good for button downs or sweaters, not really for a top piece

Great video! I'd suggest the ASOS WHITE heavyweight tee. It's like the perfect combination of the Uniqlo t-shirt (the thicker one, without pocket) and Zara's tee.

for uniqlo def need to get the Supima Cotton tees - price wise its the same as the uniqlo "u" bout $15 but its the softest ive found and has about a medium weight in terms of fabric thickness.
Only time I get H&M ones are for their more wide/scoop neck basics as I like a bit of a wider collar sometimes if I am wearing an overshirt unbuttoned. Nice for a really flowy relaxed look, and if you have tattoos can kinda peak thru a bit. Unfortunately no 1 else really makes them.

Didn't like them. Brought 3 colors, only the black one held up. The other colors shrank like crazy and became too short. They also stretched out on the sleeves and crew neck
Lukevicious plain white tees are unmatched if you want to splash out on a white tee, can’t be beaten, otherwise if you want to spend the low low the $8 AAA Gildan tees fit like heavy weight boxy high neck band tees

I own h&m and zara. H&M my opinion. H&M has different varieties. Slim fit. Muscle fit. Regular fit. Etc.
@@chopin7572 never heard of that brand until this vid. And even in the vid, doesnt seem like its a proper fit. Everyone has their own opinions and styles i guess. I personally dont buy plain t shirts and expect them to last for more than 4 to 5 months to be honest. Especially shirts that are only 9.99 or under. And if not H&M, i rather go with zara. I wouldnt wear a Uniqlo shirt in my house let alone go outside with one.
But if your talking fabric, Zara hands down. If your talking various fits for different people and their sizes, H&M.

Bruh. Lmao those thin ones are NOT meant to be worn as an outer layer. They’re an under garment to be worn under a dress shirt and tie. Of course they are thin. They’re supposed to just keep the sweat off of dress shirts and things of that nature. Anyone who wears a Hanes/FOTL/ Uniqlo packaged t’s as an outer layer is trippin. And the reason why the sizing is off is because under garments are supposed to be as close to the body as possible as an under shirt.

@@keezytv7854 they have like 4 different variation on the white tee. I cant name all of them on the top of my head but the authentic supima cotton is not see through. Im not sure about the Luxury Touch. The Soft Wash are a lil bit see through but its feels amazing on the skin. I think you might wanna go with the authentic supima because of the thickness.

I definitely enjoy your channel but this video had a great flaw… Whereas you wear a wife beater for your undershirt many other people wear a white tea as an undershirt… I wear a white tea as an undershirt every day so the uniglo tees are great for undershirts but are not great for general T-shirts…i think two vids are needed: over tees and then under tees...
